Opis:
Encryption is one of the most effective methods of securing data confidentiality, whether stored on hard drives or transferred (e.g. by e-mail or phone call). In this paper a new state recovery attack with tabu search is introduced. Based on research and theoretical approximation it is shown that the internal state can be recovered after checking 2⁵² internal states for RC4 and 2¹⁸⁰ for VMPC.

Opis:
Introduction and objective. Data on the possible role of peritoneal fluid free radical-mediated oxidative damage in the pathogenesis of endometriosis still remains inconsistent. The aim of the study was to determine iron metabolism markers and their influence on oxidative stress parameters in the peritoneal fluid of women with endometriosis. Materials and method. 110 women with endometriosis and 119 patients with benign ovarian cysts were included in the study. All visible peritoneal fluid was aspirated during laparoscopy from the anterior and posterior cul-de-sacs. under direct vision to avoid blood contamination. Haemoglobin, iron, total oxidative status, and total antioxidant status were measured using standard colourimetric kits. Results. Haemoglobin, iron levels, as well as total oxidative status values were significantly higher, whereas total antioxidant status values were significantly lower in the peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis, in comparison to the reference groups. No differences were observed in peritoneal fluid concentrations of all parameters measured in relation to the phase of the menstrual cycle. Conclusions. Peritoneal fluid of women with endometriosis is characterized by disrupted iron metabolism. This is most likely related to an increased number of erythrocytes in the peritoneal cavity of endometriotic women, which leads to a higher concentration of haemoglobin in this environment. Impaired iron homeostasis may have a significant influence on the pathophysiology of peritoneal endometriosis by the direct impact of haemoglobin derivatives and/or formation of the pro-inflammatory and pro-oxidative environment. Peritoneal cavity oxidative stress occurs predominantly in women in advanced stages of the disease.

Opis:
Introduction. The sharp decline in the total fertility rate in Poland coincided with broader socio-economic changes, which resulted in its reduction to the lowest level observed among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Objective. The aim of the study was to investigate and evaluate the changing patterns of reproductive behaviour in rural and urban areas, depending on the demographic and socio-economic features in Poland. Materials and method. Information about live births in Poland in the years 1995–2014 were obtained from the Central Statistical Office. Registered cases of live births in rural and urban areas were analyzed considering the maternal features (age, marital status, main source of income). To evaluate the changes in fertility and comparisons between rural and urban areas, Joinpoint Regresssion was used. Results. In 1995–2014, a shift in the age of highest fertility from 20–24 years to 25–29 years was observed. This occurred at the same time as a reduction in the fertility rate per 1,000 women aged 15–29 years, more pronounced in rural areas (95.8 to 60.0) than in urban areas (63.4 to 51.5), while in women aged 30–49 years, a faster increase in fertility was observed in urban areas (16.4 to 32.0) than in rural areas (27.5–29.2). Fertility trends between rural and urban areas differed significantly. A significant increase in live births for employed mothers was shown mainly in 2005–2009; later, the growth rate in rural areas was slower and in urban areas the growth trend stopped. Conclusion. The postponement of births and reduction of fertility in women aged 15–29 requires active measures aimed at creating favourable conditions for achieving economic independence for the younger generation, as well as combining work with raising children, especially in rural areas.

Opis:
A water-insoluble polysaccharide (WIP) was isolated from the fruiting bodies of Hericium erinaceus HE01 by an alkaline solution with the yield of 5%. Structural and compositional analyses by total acid hydrolysis, methylation analysis, FT-IR, FT-Raman, and ¹H NMR spectroscopy as well as other instrumental techniques showed predominantly glucose linked by α-glycosidic bonds and small amounts of mannose, xylose, rhamnose, galactose, and ribose. The methylation analysis showed that (1→3)-linked Glcp is the major constituent (70.8%) of the polymer, while the 3,4 substituted d-Glcp represents the main branching residue of the glucan. The presence of (1→3)-α-d-glucan in the hyphae of H. erinaceus was additionally confirmed by the use of specific fluorophore-labeled antibodies.

Opis:
Recently, room temperature magnetocaloric materials increasingly attracted attention in the development of magnetic refrigerators. In this paper, an effect of P/Ge substitution on the magnetic phase transition in the series of $Mn_{1.15}Fe_{0.85}P_{1-x}Ge_{x}$ (0.25 < x < 0.32) magnetocaloric compounds prepared by the arc melting technique and subsequent homogenization process has been studied. Calorimetric and magnetization results show that the temperature of structural phase transition coincide with the Curie temperature and fall within the temperature range 270-355 K. The magnetic entropy change reaches the maximum value for the compound with x=0.28 and equals to 32 J/(kg K) for the magnetic field change of 5 T. The adiabatic temperature change for the same sample, measured using magnetocalorimeter, is equal to 1.2 K for the magnetic field change of 1.7 T. It was found that the increase of Ge content in the sample causes weakening of first order magnetic transition, which is manifested by the lowering difference in transition temperature measured in two zero-field-cooling and field-cooled-cooling regimes.

Opis:
The article presents the results of preliminary work carried out for flexible body armour systems designs which contained three types of magnetorheological fluid (MRFs). The stab resistance of the multilayered material systems with magnetorheological fluids were investigated. Tests were carried out on a newly built rig at the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology. Three different configurations of flexible body armour were made. It was found that samples of the multilayered material system containing MRF had lower depth of deformation by about 30% than the reference samples. The combination of MRFs with para-aramid woven fabrics in several usable forms and/or sheets of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibres gives possibilities for obtaining new types of multi-layered systems protecting effectively against various kind of threats.
W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowano wyniki wstępnych prac przeprowadzonych dla elastycznych pancerzy, zawierających 3 typy cieczy magnetoreologicznej. Zbadano odporności na przekłucie układów materiałowych z cieczami MR. Testy przeprowadzono na nowo powstałym stanowisku na Wydziale Inżynierii Materiałowej, Politechniki Warszawskiej. Wykonano konstrukcje elastycznych pancerzy o trzech różnych konstrukcjach. Na podstawie wstępnych wyników stwierdzono, iż próbki zawierające ciecz magnetoreologiczną miały mniejszą głębokość deformacji o ok. 30 % niż odpowiadające im wzorce. Połączenie cieczy MR z tkaninami z włókien para-aramidowych i/lub z nietkanymi wyrobami z włókien polietylenowych stwarza możliwość uzyskania nowego typu kompozytów skutecznie chroniących przed różnego rodzaju zagrożeniami.
