Opis:
In this paper is considered the problem how to achieve a specific dynamic behavior of robot end-point from the aspect of impedance control and actuation redundancy. The target impedance is analytically formulated. Due to its complexity, analytical formulation is not suitable for real-time application. To overcome this problem, a simple fuzzy model of isotropic impedance in the form of adaptive fuzzy network is proposed. This model is incorporated in the general form of impedance control law, so that a new fuzzy-impedance control law is obtained. Verification of the proposed control law is provided by computer simulation, taking as example 2-d.o.f. manipulating robot.

Opis:
In this paper we investigate different processes which lead to charge carrier generation in ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Al photodetector. Primary photogenerated singlet excitons contribute the photocurrent directly through dissociation on the electrodes. Singlet exciton distribution in the active area of the photodetector is calculated on the base of continuity equation including exciton generation, diffusion, and recombination. Depending on the applied electric field and incident photon flux secondary charge carrier generation processes appear in the active MEH-PPV film. Two bulk charge generation mechanisms are considered. Nonlinear recombination of excitons through exciton-exciton annihilation leads to electron and hole polaron generation. Exciton states are also depopulated by exciton dissociation in the presence of high electric field. We assume hole polarons to be majority charge carriers. Polaron contribution to photocurrent is calculated by solving the continuity and drift-diffusion equations for these carriers. Photocurrent spectra are measured for different bias voltages and different incident photon flux intensities. A good agreement between experimental and simulated data confirms our theoretical approach.

Opis:
We present a novel spatial pooling strategy and the results of an extensive multi-scale analysis of the well-known structural similarity index metric (SSIM) for objective image quality evaluation. We show, in contrast with some previous studies, that even relatively simple perceptual importance pooling strategies can significantly improve objective metric performance evaluated as the correlation with subjective quality assessment. In particular, we define an attention and quality driven pooling mechanism that focuses structural comparisons within the SSIM model to only those pixels exhibiting significant structural degradations. We show that optimal objective metric performance is achieved over very sparse spatial domains indeed that ignore most of the signal data. We also investigate an explicit breakdown of the structural models within SSIM and show that in combination with the proposed attention and quality driven pooling some of these models represent well performing metrics in their own right, when applied at appropriate scale for which there may not be a single optimal value. Our experiments demonstrate that the augmented SSIM metric using the proposed pooling model provides performance advantage on an extensive LIVE dataset covering hundreds of degraded images and 5 different distortion types compared to both conventional SSIM and state-of-the-art objective quality metrics.

Opis:
We have used an all-optical photoluminescence-imaging technique to measure excitonic transport in three types of GaAs structures in which the excitonic transitions vary from allowed direct-gap excitons to forbidden, doubly-indirect Type-II excitons. We f nd remarkable differences in the transport properties of these excitons. Our studies show that bulk free-exciton transport exhibits an anomalous laser power-dependent diffusivity, whereas quasi-2D interfacial excitons and Type-II cross-interface excitons do not. Additionally, we observe localization of cross-interface excitons at the potential disorder induced by the heterointerface roughness.
