In this paper we present a new arbitrage-free bottomup model of correlated defaults, based on a special approach to systematic and idiosyncratic risks for individual obligors. The model admits several attractive features, like consistency with currency and interest rate models, as well as numerical tractability and flexibility, making it capable to fit the market for practically all self consistent CDO tranche prices. Its background is rather remote from other approaches, like copulas and point processes, so our presentation is detailed.

Biostimulants offer a novel approach for the regulation of crucial physiological processes in plants. Recently, it has been observed that the application of biostimulants on both seeds and plants may ameliorate to some extent the negative effects of abiotic stresses such as drought, heat, salinity, and others. In the climate conditions of Bulgaria, the early developmental stages of warm climate crops, like maize, often occur under suboptimal temperatures. Although the mitigation of abiotic stress is perhaps the most frequently cited benefit of biostimulant formulations, little is known about their influence on chilling-stressed plants. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effects of a biostimulant from the group of protein hydrolysates on both the growth and the photosynthetic performance of chilling-exposed young maize plants grown in controlled environment. Here, we report that application of a protein hydrolysate increased the performance of chilled maize plants, as demonstrated by leaf gas exchange, photosynthetic pigment content, and chlorophyll fluorescence, but did not affect their growth. Nevertheless, based on the better preserved photosynthetic performance of the biostimulant-treated maize plants exposed to chilling, we assume that under subsequent favorable conditions their growth would recover more quickly as compared to the untreated ones.
Zastosowanie biostymulantów jest nowatorskim sposobem regulacji procesów fizjologicznych w roślinach. W ostatnich latach dowiedziono również, że ich aplikacja, zarówno na nasiona jak i części wegetatywne może w pewnym zakresie niwelować negatywne skutki stresów abiotycznych, między innymi suszy, zasolenia czy zbyt wysokiej temperatury. W warunkach klimatycznych Bułgarii wczesne fazy rozwoju roślin uprawnych pochodzących z cieplejszych stref klimatycznych, na przykład kukurydzy, odbywają się w okresach panowania temperatur suboptymalnych. Mimo, że łagodzenie negatywnych skutków stresu jest jednym z najczęściej podawanych korzystnych efektów działania biostymulantów, wiedza na temat ich wpływu na rośliny poddane stresowi chłodu jest wciąż niewystarczająca. Celem badań była ocena działania biostymulantów z grupy hydroli- zatów białkowych na wzrost i przebieg procesu fotosyntezy kukurydzy uprawianej w warunkach obniżonej temperatury. Aplikacja hydrolizatów białkowych miała pozytywny wpływ na wymianę gazową, zawartość barwników fotosyntetycznych i sprawność aparatu fotosyntetycznego mierzoną parametrami fluorescencji chlorofilu a, ale nie wpłynęła na wzrost roślin. Na podstawie uzyska -nych wyników można przypuszczać, że ze względu na sprawniejszy przebieg procesu fotosyntezy, rośliny kukurydzy poddane działaniu zbyt niskiej temperatury we wczesnych etapach rozwoju i potraktowane biostymulantami będą rosły lepiej po ustąpieniu suboptymalnych temperatur w porównaniu z roślinami nie poddanymi działaniu biostymulantów.

Opis:
Studies of the energy deposition by plasma jets incident on a material surface are of topical interest for both the fusion and plasma technology applications. In this paper the results are reported of a comparative study of plasma energy deposition on different material surfaces exposed to plasma jets of various duration and energy density, generated using the QSPA Kh-50 and the MPC devices. The spatial distribution of plasma energy density and the heat load on the surface were measured with a movable calorimeter. The measurements demonstrate that in the case of an exposure to QSPA plasma jets the absorbed heat load is approximately equal to 55-60% of the energy in the incident plasma jet. In the case of plasma jets generated using the MPC device the heat load on the target surface and was practically the same as for the QSPA jets, and additional shielding effects were found to be negligible due to the short duration of plasma jets.

Opis:
Progress in the development of a plasma jet source and its utilization for injection of hydrogen plasma and neutral gas jets into the Globus-M spherical tokamak are presented. The latest version of the high kinetic energy gas and plasma jet source with titanium hydride grains is described. Reproducibility of the gas jet generation was increased due to automatic loading of fresh grains into the source before every shot. It allows producing stable gas release for many discharges. Impurity radiation intensity from the plasma jet was decreased by more than 100 times by preliminary processing titanium hydrate grains and developing a new filter. The result of special experiments on two colliding jets is discussed. It was confirmed that the plasma jet recombines into a gas jet after it escapes the source edge and has a kinetic energy higher than the hydrogen ionization potential. Hydrogen plasma jet with low impurity content has a density up to 2 × 1022 m-3, a total number of accelerated particles (1-5) × 1019 and a flow velocity of ~ 200 km/s. It was used as an instrument for density control in Globus-M. Jet injection into deuterium plasma core during current plateau phase led to fast density increase in all spatial points of the plasma column including the plasma central region. Such injection allowed density doubling in the tokamak plasma. The model predictions are consistent with the experimental observations of the density raise recorded by the interferometer and Thomson scattering.

This article is devoted to the study of water and sediment pollution in the channel of the Neva delta. Spectrophotometry was used to determine the concentration of pollutants in water. In the chemical analysis of the precipitate, atomic absorption spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy were used. Analysis of the hydrochemical composition and sediment of the Smolenka River showed high concentrations of heavy metals and petroleum products. At the same time, the hydrochemical composition of the Smolenka River is highly unstable, but the concentration of oil products and lead in the sediments indicates the presence of local pollution sources. Based on our findings, we are guided by the restoration of the aquatic environment.

Opis:
Modification of the spontaneous emission of dye molecules embedded in artificial opals exhibiting stop bands in the visible range is observed. Molecules embedded in artificial opals show dips in spontaneous emission spectra and modified fluorescence decay kinetics. Results are interpreted in terms of redistribution of the photon density of states. Effects of the multiple reabsorption and reemission of fluorescence photons and interaction of dye molecules with the silica surface are discussed.

The construction of subway stations is inevitably accompanied by the formation of a large amount of waste that is extracted from the underground workings by rock. When the waste is transported, the air is polluted with the exhaust gases of the dump trucks, some of the waste can stay on the road surface, the use of dump trucks increases the load on the roadway, the disposal of waste at landfills harms the environment, and enterprises pay fees for the transportation as well as placement of the waste. The article deals with the waste from the construction of new stations in the Saint-Petersburg subway. In order to determine the possibility of using waste in the municipal economy, a comprehensive analysis of this waste was carried out, including determination of moisture content, acidity, total carbon content, as well as chemical and granulometric composition. On the basis of the study results, it was established that the waste in question belongs to the hazard class 5, which enables to use it as a component of the soil mixture. Afterwards, the hazard class 5 was confirmed by the method of bioassay based on the determination of water toxicity by changing the optical density of the Chlorella algae culture.

Based on the principle of synthesizing the matrix of transitional probabilities, processes of decision-making support by means of the truncated procedures of type (k/n)n (k≤n) are considered. Obtained expressions for calculating the time-efficiency of the processes of decision support using procedures type (k/4)4 are shown. There are given calculated by the expressions obtained data time efficiency, which will enable a quantitative comparison between different procedures and select the best of them on the basis of specific practical tasks.

Researches on the plasma jet source and injection of hydrogen plasma and neutral gas jets into the Globus-M spherical tokamak are presented. A novel source of dense plasma with high directed velocity is designed, constructed and investigated. This is a double stage system consisting of an intense source utilizing titanium-hydride grains for neutral gas production and a conventional pulsed coaxial accelerator. Optimization of the accelerator parameters, so as to achieve a maximum possible flow velocity with a limited discharge current and a reasonable length of the coaxial electrodes is performed. The calculations are compared with the experiment. A test bed is used for investigation of the intense plasma jet generated by a plasma gun. Plasma jet parameters, among them pressure distribution across the jet, flow velocity, plasma density etc., were measured. Plasma jets with densities of up to 1022 m 3, total numbers of accelerated particles (1 5) . 1019, and flow velocities of 50 100 km/s were successfully injected into the plasma column of the Globus-M tokamak. Interferometric and Thomson scattering measurements confirmed a deep jet penetration and a fast density rise (<0.5 ms) at all spatial points up to the radius r H 0.3a. The injection did not result in plasma degradation.

One of the major problems of agricultural production has been to improve the sowing qualities of seeds to increase yields of various crops. In this regard, of particular interest is the control technology of vegetable organisms by "address the impact of" signals of the physical nature. Plasma treatment of seeds influences the growth and development of the amaranth. The effectiveness of treatment depends on the exposure time of the exposure. The largest positive treatment effect of the plasma on the growth, development and yield of amaranth has been observed when the exposure 60 seconds, leading to increased yields.

Opis:
The energy spectrum of a quantum dot made from IV-VI narrow gap semiconductors is studied. The calculations of the energy levels as functions of the dot radius are performed. When the anisotropy of the bare energy spectrum is strong, the energy levels are calculated using Fal'kovskii's adiabatic approximation for multiband systems. When the quantum dot material has an inverted band gap with respect to the host, the low-energy states within the fundamental gap are shown to arise.

We present the first experimental observation of narrow dips in the fluorescence profiles of completely closed hyperfine transitions in Rb vapor at high atomic density, which is attributed to the depolarization of the excited state. Moreover, at low atomic density, a narrow peak on the top of the fluorescence profile is demonstrated, centered at the completely closed transition within the $D_{2}$ line of Cs. Experiments are performed in thin (700 μm) alkali cell by single light beam spectroscopy. The cell is filled with Cs containing a small portion of Rb.
