The sessile drop method was implemented to calculate the values of the surface tension coefficient of liquid metals. Appropriate software was developed to increase the data processing efficiency and the accuracy of the obtained results. This paper provides information on the structure and applications of the designed programs as well as the underlying mathematical models used during computations. Since the determination of the surface tension coefficient in this study is based on the recognition of drop outlines from a digital image, the problems of calibration and appropriate photography mode adjustments are mentioned in this paper. In addition, the methods of controlling the research equipment using Arduino shields are described. Finally, the research results are presented in the form of graphs which show the temperature dependence of the studied parameters of metallic samples and compared with the literature data.

Opis:
Узагальнено українсько-польські наукові зв’язки у гуманітарній сфері за останнє двадцятиліття. Особливу увагу приділено дослідженням археологів обох країн про заселення території сучасної України у найдавніший період, реконструкції шляхів міграцій та переселень у неолітичну та ранню бронзову добу, культурним зв’язкам стародавнього населення Прикарпаття і Волині. Показано основні напрями та тематику історичних досліджень в установах Польської академії наук, Національної академії наук України та університетах обох країн, зокрема й тих, які викликають найбільше дискусій у суспільстві. Узагальнено досвід етнологів, філологів і культурологів щодо дослідження трансформацій традиційної культури в умовах пограниччя, особливостей етнокультурної інтеграції населення України та Польщі. Відзначено необхідність перейняття українськими науковцями та представниками влади досвіду Інституту національної пам’яті Польщі щодо декомунізації історичної пам’яті, вшанування жертв тоталітарних режимів, проведення документальних пошуків та правових експертиз.
The article analyses cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian academic institutions in the field of humanities in the recent two decades. It focuses on archaeological research conducted by scholars of both countries in the field of study of  early settlements on the territories that are now Ukraine and mutual cultural influences of Prykarpattia and Volhynia population, as well as archaeological reconstruction of Neolithic and Bronze Age migration routes. The article also examines the main directions and issues of historical research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and universities of both countries with an emphasis on problematic issues that attract attention in both societies. It summarises the results of  research conducted by ethnologists, philologists and specialists in the field of culture that are related to transformation of traditional culture on the borderland and specific features of ethnic and cultural integration of Ukrainian and Polish population. The article suggests that the Ukrainian academy and authorities should adopt the best practices of the Polish Institute of National Memory regarding de-communisation of historical memory, commemorating victims of totalitarian regimes, conducting documentary research and legal expert evaluations.

The possibility of the calibrated Au nanoparticles formation in conditions of surface plasmon resonance at irradiation of the Au film/glass structure by pulsed $YAG:Nd^{3+}$-laser radiation is investigated. Sizes of the Au fragments and their surface distribution were studied by the atom force microscopy. The effect of Au nanofragmentation was observed only at the second harmonic irradiation (λ = 0.532 μm). The large difference in the average values of Au nanoparticles sizes -[δ] and distributions between created in the resonance conditions, R = $R_{min}$, -[δ] ∼ 80 nm and in case out of resonance R ≠ $R_{min}$, -[δ] ∼ 1350 nm was established. A high degree of the height sizes homogeneity of Au nanoparticles has been shown by the histogram obtained from the atom force microscopy data. There was verified the conclusion about determining contribution of the plasmon subsystem field in nanofragmentation process of the Au film in the SPR conditions at high laser levels.

Amaranth (Amaranthus spp.) is a promising alternative crop, which is gaining more popularity and a more widespread distribution throughout the world. The aim of this study has been to find out how the doses of mineral fertilizers affect the yield and quality of amaranth grain in the wet and warm climate of the Western Forest Steppe of Ukraine. The research was conducted from 2020 to 2022, on an experimental field of the Lviv National Environmental University (LNEU – Dublyany). The soil of the experimental field is Grayic Luvic Phaeozem. The experiment comprised seven different fertilizer treatments: N0P0K0, N40P20K40, N80P40K80, N120P40K80, N160P60K120, N200P80K120, N200P80K160. The tested plant was amaranth of the Kharkivskyi 1 variety. Asystematic increase in fertilizer doses, particularly nitrogen, led to a gradual rise in amaranth grain yield. In the control without fertilizers, the yield was 2.31 Mg ha-1. With an increase in fertilizer application, it rose by 2.57 Mg ha-1, reaching 4.88 Mg ha-1 at the highest fertilizer dose N200P80K160. The grain bulk density was higher (790 g l-1) in the variants without fertilizers, and the lowest when N200P80K160 and N200P80K180 were applied, where it was 755 g l-1 and 750 g l-1. The protein content in amaranth grains increased from 16.2% to 18.9%, reaching its peak under the influence of an increase in mineral fertilizer doses from N40P20K40 to N200P80K160. The starch content decreased from 67.4% on the plot without fertilizers to 64.8% when applying the highest doses of fertilizers, i.e. N200P80K120 and N200P80K160. Statistical models of correlations showed that the doses of mineral fertilizers, especially nitrogen, have a strong influence on the indicators of yield and grain quality of amaranth in the warm and humid climate of western Ukraine. High doses of fertilizers significantly increase yield, but negatively affect the grain bulk density and starch content, while significantly increasing the proportion of protein.
