Telecommunication, transport and civil engineering play an important role in new research areas. New antennas based on innovative materials are being developed. At the same time, the methods of antenna mounting with the use of high-strength materials to ensure high structural rigidity with the lowest possible weight are being planned. These materials include AHSS steels with ultimate tensile strength (UTS) up to 1700 MPa and elevated yield point (YS); however, welded joints made of these steels have much worse mechanical properties, compared to the native materials. In this paper, it was planned to test the MAG welding of DOCOL 1400M steel (AHSS group). Directly after welding, a micro-jet joint cooling was applied. It was determined to create thin-walled joints that could be used in the formation of antenna mounts.

Opis:
The austenitic 316L steel (1.4401) is an important stainless material used to build various means of transport. Austenitic steel has high resistance to atmospheric corrosion. The austenitic steel is treated as a good weldable material, although cracks are possible. This paper analyses the influence of various MIG welding parameters on the creation of correct joints used in the stainless steel structures of mobile platforms elements, as an example of welding structures, in various means of transport. Various tests verifying the mechanical properties of MIG welds, including non-destructive tests, tensile strength and hardness tests, were carried out. This article aims to show how important and complex the task is to select the correct welding parameters for elements of means of transport made of austenitic steel on the example of elements of mobile platforms.

Stainless steel could be treated as the main material used to construct various means of transport, including mobile platforms and tank trucks. An austenitic steel known as 316L steel (1.4401) has high resistance to atmospheric corrosion, natural waters, water vapor, alkaline solutions, and acids, even at elevated temperatures. This steel is weldable, although it is also prone to various types of welding cracks. Many factors influence the quality and mechanical properties of a joint. The most significant of these is the appropriate selection of welding parameters, which should be determined precisely and separately for each type of sheet, depending on its thickness and geometric features. The aim of the present article is to study the influence of main TIG (Tungsten inert gas) welding parameters on the creation of proper joints used in the construction of mobile truck platforms or tank trucks. The proper selection of parameters enables the production of welds with good functional properties. A novelty of this article is the proposal to weld each layer of a thick joint with different parameters, which has an important influence on the mechanical properties of the joint. It is expected that the new material and technological solution will yield a joint with good corrosion resistance and increased mechanical properties. This is important in the responsible construction of means of transport, using the example of mobile platforms and tank trucks. Different tests verifying the properties of joints, including non-destructive testing, tensile strength tests, and fatigue tests, as well as a hardness probe, were applied.

Aluminium alloys were used in many structural applications, including the civil engineering field. The innovative technology of welding with micro-jet cooling was tested and the effects were reported. The main information is given on the parameters of aluminum welding with the micro-jet cooling process. Information was also reported on the influence of various micro-jet parameters on the metallographic structure. Subsequently, metallographic and certain physical properties of welding structures (for example, mechanical resistance, electrical conductivity) were tested. Aluminum alloys are lightweight and resistant to corrosion in the natural and aquatic environment, which is why they are a suitable material for responsible structures (in the construction of ships, vehicles, electrical conductors). This article focuses on the mechanical and electrical properties of busduct welds made with the micro-jet cooling pioneering technology.
Stopy aluminium były wykorzystywane i zastosowane w wielu konstrukcjach, w tym dla potrzeb inżynierii lądowej. Przetestowano innowacyjną technologię spawania z chłodzeniem mikro-strumieniowym i przedstawiono wyniki badań. Główne informacje dotyczą parametrów spawania aluminium z chłodzeniem mikro-strumieniowym. Podano również informacje o wpływie różnych parametrów chłodzenia mikro-strumieniowego na strukturę stopiwa. Sprawdzono strukturę spoin i pewne właściwości fizyczne złączy spawalniczych (na przykład wytrzymałość na rozciąganie i przewodność elektryczną). Stopy aluminium są lekkie i odporne na korozję w środowisku naturalnym i wodnym, dlatego są odpowiednim materiałem na odpowiedzialne konstrukcje (w budowie statków, pojazdów, szynoprzewodów). W tym artykule skupiono się na właściwościach mechanicznych i elektrycznych spoin szynoprzewodów wykonanych z użyciem pionierskiej metody chłodzenia mikro-strumieniowego.

The paper presents the possibilities of using light alloy components in vehicle construction. Material 6082 was chosen for use in responsible structural components. The structure and strength parameters of the material in the delivery state were tested. Tested material parameters were compared with normative requirements. The purpose of the paper is to check the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy welded joints by various processes and parameters. Until now, welding of 6082 alloy did not give good and repeatable results. Because of that, two welding methods were analyzed (MIG and TIG) in the field of the quality of welds, strength of welded joints, and material structures obtained as a result of welding with various parameters.

Purpose: The novelty and the aim of the article is to check the possibility of welding high 9 strength steels with a mixture containing 7000 ppm of nitrogen. Design/methodology/approach: A new welding material and method have been developed in order to obtain a high-quality joint for automotive industry and for antenna holders and towers. The properties of the joint were checked by NDT (Non Destructive test) tests and the strength and fatigue were tested. Findings: Relations between process parameters and the quality of welds. Research limitations/implications: In the future, it can be suggested to investigate the effect of micro addition of nitrogen in gaseous shielding mixtures of the MIG/MAG welding process. Practical implications: The proposed innovation will not cause problems in the production process. Only the innovate shielding gas with micro additives will be modified without affecting the technological process, management and economic aspects. Social implications: Modifying the welding method will not affect the environment and production management methods. Originality/value: It is to propose a new solution with its scientific justification. The article is addressed to manufacturers of high-strength steel for automotive industry and to manufacturers of antenna components and instrumentation.

Opis:
Manufacturers of welding equipment strive to develop the most efficient, cost-effective and easy to process welding methods. This necessity is also related to welding of new, often hard-to-weld steel types. The article aims to present the possibility of welding a high-strength S700MC steel with an increased yield point using MAG (135) process and a blowtorch with an intelligent arc control. The blowtorch allows to reduce input energy and reduce splinters while maintaining the mechanical properties of the material. The S700MC steel has been selected for the tests purposefully, as it may create welding problems in order to maintain high strength and increased yield point. The applied technology provided lower power consumption compared to traditional welding machines and joints with very good mechanical properties were achieved.
Producenci urządzeń spawalniczych dążą do opracowywania metod jak najbardziej wydajnych, ekonomicznych oraz ułatwiających proces spawania. Związane jest to także potrzebą spawania nowych, często trudno-spawalnych gatunków stali. W artykule postanowiono przedstawić możliwość spawania wysokowytrzymałej stali S700MC o podwyższonej granicy plastyczności procesem MAG (135) używając palnika z funkcją inteligentnej kontroli łuku. Palnik ten pozwala na zmniejszenie energii liniowej i ograniczenie odprysków przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu właściwości mechanicznych materiału. Celowo do badań wytypowano stal S700MC, która może sprawiać problemy spawalnicze w celu zachowania posiada wysokiej wytrzymałości i podwyższonej granicy i plastyczności. Zastosowana technologia zapewnia dużo niższy pobór mocy w porównaniu do tradycyjnych spawarek. Uzyskano złącza o bardzo dobrych własnościach mechanicznych.

Opis:
Advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) is being used increasingly often in the structure of means of transport. Welds made of these steels can crack in the heat-affected zone (HAZ) and have inferior mechanical properties compared to the base material. The goal of this paper was to solve the technological and material problem of obtaining highstrengh thin-walled welded structures of AHSS steel designed for heavily loaded elements of transport means. The novelty of the article is its presentation of a modified welding process which enables a high-strength structure of the obtained joint to be obtained without welding defects and incompatibilities. Copper backing was selected as an effective method of heat dissipation in the process, and, using the basic solutions method, the leverage of a heat flow process in the weld method deposit (WMD) was checked after cooling down the substrate. The fundamental solutions method was used to determine the optimal shape of the backing. It has been shown that the new backing affects the structure and mechanical properties of welds. In order to verify the newly developed method, tensile tests of the obtained joint were carried out, the hardness was assessed, the metallographic structure was analyzed, and non-destructive tests were performed. The developed material and technological solution were used, for example, for the construction of the arm element of the mobile platform.

This paper focuses on the weldability of advanced high-strength steels (AHSS), commonly used by the automotive industry and civil engineering. These steels have found application in the construction of mobile platforms mounted on vehicles. AHSS significantly outperform other materials when it comes to performance flexibility and mass reduction potential. This article verifies whether the application of micro-jet cooling technology during the welding process might help to overcome these issues. The aim of this article is to choose welding parameters in the process with micro-jet cooling to obtain the best mechanical properties of the welded structure (elongation). The best welding parameters for these difficult-to-weld constructions are presented in detail.

The development of a technology that increases the service life of valve seats in CNG/LNG-powered vehicles requires the appropriate selection of material and the technology of its application. Commercially used valve seat materials show accelerated wear under operating conditions, especially in natural gas vehicle engines. The authors developed a new material concept and a new technological concept for the protection of the valve seat in CNG/LNG-powered vehicles. This article aims to present the first stage of tribological research. Two materials were used in the research: Stellite 6 alloy and Fe3Al intermetal. A commonly used material for valve seats of combustion engines is Stellite 6. The Fe3Al is the new proposed material coating for the protection of the valve seats of internal combustion engines. This article compares the abrasive wear resistance of these materials. The abrasion tests were performed on a T-11 pin-on-disc tester, and the counter-sample was steel S235JR. The test conditions were similar to those prevailing during the operation of the valves in the head of the internal combustion engine, without the influence of temperature. The obtained results indicate that the Fe3Al intermetal is characterized by a lower coefficient of friction and lower wear intensity than Stellite 6. The results confirm that the Fe3Al phase is a prospective material to be used as a protective material on the valve seat of vehicles.

Purpose: The aim of the article is to check the quality of the road and classify the selected road on a four-level scale. Design/methodology/approach: The paper outlines the impact of comprehensive road surface quality management on the safety of vehicles and road users. The basic types of road damage were presented, as well as preliminary diagnostics of a randomly selected national road was carried out. Visual tests were carried out to determine: the type and geometry of the pavement damage, the number of damage, the area covered by the damage. In the article the damage indicators were calculated. The results allowed for the assessment of the quality of the tested pavement and its classification on a four-point scale. Findings: The quality of the road surface was assessed and classified as level C. Research limitations/implications: In the future, it can be suggested to change the methodology of investigate the road. It is proposal to using drone with the application. Practical implications: The research indicates the need to plan the renovation of the road surface and suggests changing the surface material from construction asphalt to the new modified asphalt. Originality/value: The article indicates the need to amend the documents and the current methodology of the procedure.

Purpose: The aim of the work is to present selected research results of the first stage of work, the so-called pre-design research related to the implementation of electric vehicles into the company's fleet. Design/methodology/approach: the article presents inconsistencies and problems related to the use of electric buses as well as problems related to point infrastructure. The results of the research were obtained from the observations of the analyzed transport processes, the process of fleet management, from interviews with employees, as well as from the analysis of documentation and comparison of records with the actual state. Findings: The results confirm that the effective elimination of nonconformities leads to the improvement of the process quality and the reduction of costs related to vehicle breakdowns. Research limitations/implications: The research indicates the need for continuous improvement of the process of using electric vehicles. Validation studies have confirmed that it is impossible to eliminate all problems, therefore the process should be constantly improved. Originality/value. The article indicates the need to amend the subsequent projects and the current methodology of the procedure.

Purpose: The aim of the study is to find out whether and to extent the change of selected parameters of the system, such as the type of tires, tire pressure and axle load, changes the result of the technical test of the analysed vehicle in the field of measuring braking forces. Design/methodology/approach: Diagnostic tests, tire pressure measurements, axle load measurements, braking force measurements on a roller device were carried out. Findings: The relationships between the pressure in the tires and the braking force measured on the wheel as well as between the braking force and the load acting on the vehicle axle have been demonstrated. Research limitations/implications: Mathematical relationships between tire pressure and vehicle braking force can be derived in the future. Practical implications: In the course of the tests, it was found that the technical tests made it possible to determine the braking forces only while maintaining the nominal ±1×105 Pa tire pressure. Changes to this parameter may influence the measurement results. Moreover, the influence of tire pressure on the change of the measured braking force values was found, which translates into the safety of the vehicle in road traffic. Originality/value: approach to brake system.

The demand for new welding technologies in civil engineering and transport is increasing. An example of this is the tendency to increase the operating range of a mobile platform mounted on motor vehicles while maintaining the weight of the vehicle. The most commonly used material in the production of mobile platforms are AHSS steels due to their high tensile strength at the level of 1400 MPa. However, the joints created with their use are characterized by much lower strength than the native material. In this article, the most appropriate parameters for welding elements of a mobile platform from difficult-to-use steel AHSS were selected.

Przykładem tego może być tendencja zwiększenia zasięgu operacyjnego podestu ruchomego montowanych w pojazdach samochodowych przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu masy pojazdu. Ostatnio stosowanym materiałem w produkcji podestów ruchomych są stale AHSS z uwagi na ich dużą wytrzymałość na rozciąganie na poziomie 1400 MPa. Powstałe przy ich wykorzystaniu złącza cechują się jednak dużo niższą wytrzymałością od materiału rodzimego. W niniejszym artykule opisano proces doboru parametrów do spawania elementów podestu ruchomego z trudnospawalnej stali AHSS w celu osiągnięcia połączeń spawanych o wytrzymałości na poziomie 700 MPa lub wyższej.
