Opis:
An adaptive and precise peak wavelength detection algorithm for fibre Bragg grating using generative adversarial network is proposed. The algorithm consists of generative model and discriminative model. The generative model generates a synthetic signal and is sampled for training using a deep neural network. The discriminative model predicts the real fibre Bragg grating signal by the calculation of the loss functions. The maxima of loss function of the discriminative signal and the minima of loss function of the generative signal are matched and the desired peak wavelength of fibre Bragg grating is determined. The proposed algorithm is verified theoretically and experimentally for a single fibre Bragg grating peak. The accuracy has been obtained as ±0.2 pm. The proposed algorithm is adaptive in the sense that any random fibre Bragg grating peak can be identified within a short wavelength range.

Opis:
In the past few years, wireless devices, including pocket PCs, pagers, mobile phones, etc, have gained popularity among a variety of users across the world and the use of mobile phones in particular, has increased significantly in many parts of the world, especially in India. Cell phones are now the most popular form of electronic communication and constitute an integral part of adolescents' daily lives, as is the case for the majority of mobile phone users. In fact, mobile phones have turned from a technological tool to a social tool. Therefore, the influence of cell phones on young people needs to be thoroughly examined. In this paper, we explore the attitude of young adults towards cell phones and identify the hidden classes of respondents according to the patterns of mobile phone use. The Latent Class Analysis (LCA) serves as a tool to detect any peculiarities, including those gender-based. LCA measures the value of an unknown latent variable on the basis of the respondents' answers to various indicator variables; for this reason, a proper selection of indicators is of great importance here. In this work, we propose a method of selecting the most useful variables for an LCA-based detection of group structures from within the examined data. We apply a greedy search algorithm, where during each phase the models are compared through an approximation to their Bayes factor. The method is applied in the process of selecting variables related to mobile phone usage which are most useful for the clustering of respondents into different classes. The findings demonstrate that young people display various feelings and attitudes toward cell phone usage.

Opis:
Face recognition is one of the applications in image processing that recognizes or checks an individual's identity. 2D images are used to identify the face, but the problem is that this kind of image is very sensitive to changes in lighting and various angles of view. The images captured by 3D camera and stereo camera can also be used for recognition, but fairly long processing times is needed. RGB-D images that Kinect produces are used as a new alternative approach to 3D images. Such cameras cost less and can be used in any situation and any environment. This paper shows the face recognition algorithms’ performance using RGB-D images. These algorithms calculate the descriptor which uses RGB and Depth map faces based on local binary pattern. Those images are also tested for the fusion of LBP and DCT methods. The fusion of LBP and DCT approach produces a recognition rate of 97.5% during the experiment

The present research addresses the low-temperature sintering of 4% kaolin clay reinforced aluminium composite using susceptor-aided microwave sintering at 2.45 GHz frequency. Kaoline clay the naturally available mineral in the north-eastern regions of india. The study aims to convert this kaoline clay into the value added product with enhanced mechanical properties. The Al-x% Kaolin (x = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) composite was fabricated through the powder metallurgy process by the application of 600 MPa compaction pressure. The composite corresponding to optimum ultimate tensile strength (U.T.S) was subjected to single-mode cavity microwave-assisted sintering by varying the sintering temperatures as 500°C, 550°C and 600°C. The effect of incorporating kaolin clay on the dielectric characteristics of composite powders, as well as the effect of sintering temperature on the microstructural changes and mechanical characteristics of Al-4%Kaolin composites were also examined. Results concluded that the addition of 4 wt% kaolin powder improves the dielectric characteristics of the composite powder. The maximum Hardness. Compression strength and U.T.S of 97 Hv, 202 MPa and 152 MPa respectively achieved for the Al-4% Kaolin composite sintered at 550°C. The higher fracture toughness of 9.56 Ma. m1/2 reveals the ductile fracture for the composite sintered at 550°C.

The field of biomedicine is still working on a solution to the challenge of diagnosing brain tumors, which is now one of the most significant challenges facing the profession. The possibility of an early diagnosis of brain cancer depends on the development of new technologies or instruments. Automated processes can be made possible thanks to the classification of different types of brain tumors by utilizing patented brain images. In addition, the proposed novel approach may be used to differentiate between different types of brain disorders and tumors, such as those that affect the brain. The input image must first undergo pre-processing before the tumor and other brain regions can be separated. Following this step, the images are separated into their respective colors and levels, and then the Gray Level Co-Occurrence and SURF extraction methods are used to determine which aspects of the photographs contain the most significant information. Through the use of genetic optimization, the recovered features are reduced in size. The cut-down features are utilized in conjunction with an advanced learning approach for the purposes of training and evaluating the tumor categorization. Alongside the conventional approach, the accuracy, inaccuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of the methodology under consideration are all assessed. The approach offers an accuracy rate greater than 90%, with an error rate of less than 2% for every kind of cancer. Last but not least, the specificity and sensitivity of each kind are higher than 90% and 50%, respectively. The usage of a genetic algorithm to support the approach is more efficient than using the other ways since the method that the genetic algorithm utilizes has greater accuracy as well as higher specificity.

The rate at which the conventional energy sources are depleting is a matter of concern, and there have been major attention on this to make the thermal systems environment friendly, efficient, economic, sustainable, technically reliable. Sustainability of five different types of nanoparticles (Ceramic, carbon based, metal based, polymeric, and lipid based) from the perspective of four aspects involving cost, efficiency, technicality and environmental effect, in heat exchangers has been assessed. The analysis is carried out using the intuitionistic fuzzy combative distance based assessment (IFCODAS) method. In order to measure the sustainability of nanoparticles, a set of eleven evaluating criteria have been accredited on the basis of expert opinions and focus group meetings. By amalgamating the intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) theory as well as the use of distance-based assessment (CODAS) method, the IFCODASIFCODAS method has permitted the decision-makers to rate the alternative five nanoparticles pertaining to each criterion. On the basis of the results obtained from IFCODAS method, it is observed that the carbon based nanoparticles have an immense potential to provide significantly reliable and sustainable thermal system than other nanoparticles.

Opis:
This analysis focused on investigating thermal storage behaviour on phase change material along with $Al_2O_3$ as an additive. The experimental investigation was performed by three set temperature points, i.e. 40 °C, 50 °C and 60 °C with the mass circulation rate through the tank of 5 kg/min, 3 kg/min and 2 kg/min. The forced circulation method was used to circulate the liquid, water was used as a working medium and $Al_2O_3$ as nano particle. Paraffin acts a phase change material to conduct the experimental procedure. The combination of paraffin with $Al_2O_3$ improves the latent heat storage of the material. The performance, with respect to charging and discharging of the material, was investigated and it was observed that the temperature location point of 50 °C shows the best results in terms of charging and discharging phenomena, compared to other two temperature location points. During the process of charging, the maximum rate of heat transfer can be achieved by $Al_2O_3$ nanofluids. Paraffin along with $Al_2O_3$ are characterized by the best thermal storage behaviour during the latent heat storage at charging process and dissipation of heat during discharge process. The rapid cooling comparison for three set location points has been studied and best solidification was achieved at the point of 60 °C; this is due to the rapid cooling at higher elevation temperatures. The energy that was stored in thermal form is to be transferred with the aid of heat exchanger, a special type heat exchanger employed in this analysis to transfer the heat. From this analysis it is concluded that paraffin with $Al_2O_3$ are characterized by the best performance in terms of the charging and discharging phenomenon.

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a non-parametric approach for the estimation of production frontier that is used to calculate the performance of a group of similar decision-making units (DMUs) which employ comparable inputs to produce related outputs. However, observed values might occasionally be confusing, imprecise, ambiguous, inadequate, and inconsistent in real-world applications. Thus, disregarding these factors may result in incorrect decision-making. Thus neutrosophic sets have been created as an extension of intuitionistic fuzzy sets to represent ambiguous, erroneous, missing, and inaccurate information in real-world applications. In this study, we have proposed a technique for solving the neutrosophic form of the Charnes–Cooper–Rhodes (CCR) model based on single-value trapezoidal neutrosophic numbers (SVTrNNs). The possibilistic mean for SVTrNNs is redefined and applied the Mehar approach to transforming the neutrosophic DEA (Neu-DEA) model into its corresponding crisp DEA model. As a result, the efficiency scores of the DMUs are calculated using different risk parameter values lying in [0, 1]. A numerical example is given to analyze the performance of the all India institutes of medical sciences and compared it with Abdelfattah’s ranking approach.

The Covid 19 (coronavirus) pandemic has become one of the most lethal health crises worldwide. This virus gets transmitted from a person by respiratory droplets when they sneeze or when they speak. According to leading and well‐known scientists, wearing face masks and maintain‐ ing six feet of social distance are the most substantial protections to limit the virus’s spread. In the proposed model we have used the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm of Deep Learning (DL) to ensure efficient real‐time mask detection. We have divided the system into two parts—1. Train Face Mask Detector 2. Apply Face Mask Detector—for better understanding. This is a real‐ time application that is used to discover or detect the person who is wearing a mask at the proper position or not, with the help of camera detection. The system has achieved an accuracy of 99% after being trained with the dataset, which contains around 1376 images of width and height 224×224 and also gives the alarm beep message after the detection of no mask or improper mask usage in a public place.
