It is well-known that the versal deformations of nonsimple singularities depend on moduli. The first step in deeper understanding of this phenomenon is to determine the versal discriminant, which roughly speaking is an obstacle for analytic triviality of an unfolding or deformation along the moduli. The goal of this paper is to describe the versal discriminant of $Z_{k,0}$ and $Q_{k,0}$ singularities basing on the fact that the deformations of these singularities may be obtained as blowing ups of certain deformations of $J_{k,0}$ singularities.

It is well known that the versal deformations of nonsimple singularities depend on moduli. The first step in deeper understanding of this phenomenon is to determine the versal discriminant, which roughly speaking is an obstacle to analytic triviality of an unfolding or deformation along the moduli. The versal discriminant of the Pham singularity ($J_{3,0}$ in Arnold's classification) was thoroughly investigated by J. Damon and A. Galligo [2], [3], [4]. The goal of this paper is to continue their work and to describe the versal discriminant of a general $J_{k,0}$ singularity.

Opis:
Applications of singularity theory give rise to many questions concerning deformations of singularities. Unfortunately, satisfactory answers are known only for simple singularities and partially for unimodal ones. The aim of this paper is to give some insight into decompositions of multi-modal singularities with unimodal leading part. We investigate the $J_{k,0}$ singularities which have modality k - 1 but the quasihomogeneous part of their normal form only depends on one modulus.

It is well known that versal deformations of nonsimple singularities depend on moduli. However they can be topologically trivial along some or all of them. The first step in the investigation of this phenomenon is to determine the versal discriminant (unstable locus), which roughly speaking is the obstacle to analytic triviality. The next one is to construct continuous liftable vector fields smooth far from the versal discriminant and to integrate them. In this paper we extend the results of J. Damon and A. Galligo, concerning the case of the Pham singularity ($J_{3,0}$ in Arnold's classification) (see [2, 3, 4]), and deal with deformations of general $J_{k,0}$ singularities.

Opis:
Prices observed on emerging markets are affected by market sentiment changes. The article presents an interdependence analysis of a chosen set of sentiment indicators observed on the Polish OTC market. The set contains both interest rate market (basis swap, asset swap, convergence swap, overnight index swap), foreign exchange market (ATM volatility, risk reversal) and equity market (WIG20). The analysis is focused on cointegration and Granger causality approach in order to present forecasting power of elaborated models. Evidence from the market reveals economic link between the time series that comes from the strong influence of the cross-border trading between non-residents and local market makers. High responsiveness of daily prices of OTC instruments to the changes of the market sentiment and a level of the risk aversion can be proven. Moreover, error correction model using foreign exchange options has practical forecasting power generating adequate trading decisions taken by market makers

This paper aims to present the results of archaeological works carried out within the framework of a post-excavation project, “Per lineam munitionum”, between 2005–2016 around the fortification system of the Roman legionary fortress and the late Roman and early Byzantine town of Novae. The research concentrated generally on completing and recording old trenches as well as recording remains of the original building substance, stratigraphy and other archaeological remains using modern technologies and precise geodetic equipment. The archaeological data and stratigraphical observations were compared with the numismatic findings in an effort to improve the final interpretation and the reconstruction of the main construction phases.

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the impact of country's credit rating on issuers' credit risk measured by the difference between bond yields and IRS spreads. Based on literature review, the following hypothesis has been proposed: the decrease and increase of credit ratings have a statistically significant impact on the issuers' credit risk. The study was conducted using event study methodology, Thomson Reuters Database data for the period 1990-2016 and S&P, Fitch and Moody foreign long-term issuer credit ratings. Ten-year treasury bonds and IRS spreads were used to verify the hypothesis.

Archaeological discoveries made since 2014 at the site of the Roman fort in Apsaros/Gonio (Georgia) have shed more light on the earliest as well as later stages of the presence of the Roman army on the Colchis coast and on the history of the Apsaros fort itself. The paper reports on the new findings concerning the chronology of the Roman fort, and an essential part of the conclusions draws upon the results of numismatic research on recent coin finds from the site. Six years of fieldwork by a Polish-Georgian team have uncovered the remains of a possible horreum, built in the last decade of Nero’s reign, underlying a balneum constructed probably during Trajan’s Parthian war and rebuilt under Hadrian into a praetorium; a fine mosaic floor decorated with geometric motifs was found in one of the rooms of this early 2nd-century structure.

Opis:
Archeological work in the 2012 and 2013 seasons in Jiyeh (Porphyreon), which lies on the Phoenician coast north of ancient Sidon, was focused on reconstructing the history of settlement on the site. At least three phases were identified and dated to the Iron Age II, the Persian– Hellenistic–Roman period and late antiquity. The early dating of the functioning of the Christian basilica to the 4th–5th century AD was also confirmed in trial pits. The complex and unusual sewage installation discharging rainwater from the roofs and streets of the 5th-century settlement contributed important data for studies of late antique domestic architecture in the region.
