    Opis:
    The tracking control problem of a strongly nonlinear MIMO system is presented. The system shares some features with a helicopter, such as important interactions between the vertical and horizontal motions. The dedicated I/O board allows for control, measurements and communication with a PC. The RTWT toolbox in the MATLAB environment is used to perform real-time experiments. The control task is to track a predefined reference trajectory. A mathematical model of the system, containing experimental characteristics, is used to design the controllers: a multidimensional PD, a suboptimal controller in the sense of a quadratic performance index and a variable gain controller.

    Opis:
    Position control of DC motor is discussed and two control problems are investigated: first, time optimal and second, optimal in the sense of a quadratic performance index. Simple mathematical models, linear and nonlinear, of the DC motor are introduced. In the presented approach, the nonlinear model contains only the nonlinearity of static characteristic. Controllers based on linear and nonlinear models are constructed for both control problems. For the nonlinear model optimal solutions are computed with the use of the MSE method. Comparison of results of real-time and simulation experiments are presented.
    W pracy przedyskutowano dwa problemy sterowania pozycyjnego serwomechanizmem z silnikiem prądu stałego: problem czasooptymalny oraz sterowanie optymalne w sensie kwadratowego wskaźnika jakości. Przedstawiono proste modele matematyczne: liniowy i nieliniowy. W nieliniowym modelu uwzględniono jedynie nieliniową charakterystykę statyczną silnika. Dla obydwu problemów zaprojektowano regulatory wykorzystując modele liniowy i nieliniowy. Optymalne sterowanie dla modelu nieliniowego obliczono za pomocą metody MSE. Przedstawiono porównanie eksperymentów symulacyjnych i eksperymentów czasu rzeczywistego.

    The purpose of this paper is to develop a framework of cooperation and co-opetition between manufacturers and retailers based on a theoretical review and a verification set from six case studies of consumer durables manufacturers. The approach takes the form of six in-depth case studies, which involved relationships (including cooperation and co-opetition) between six medium and large durables manufacturers and their retailers on the Polish market.
    Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja ram kooperacji i kooperencji między producentami a detalistami na podstawie przeglądu literatury oraz weryfikacji sześciu przypadków producentów dóbr konsumpcyjnych trwałego użytku. Analizy przypadków opracowano na podstawie wywiadów pogłębionych dotyczących relacji (w tym kooperacji i kooperencji) między sześcioma średnimi i dużymi producentami dóbr konsumpcyjnych trwałego użytku oraz ich kluczowymi pośrednikami detalicznymi na polskim rynku.

    The literature emphasizes the growing significance of retail brands and differentiation of retail brands` strategies, also in terms of their target groups. Nevertheless, a few studies examine the strategic role of particular target groups of retail brands, especially on the Polish market. The purpose of this article is to answer the question: which consumers segments have the greatest significance as the target groups of retail brands for retail chains operating in Poland? The empirical research was conducted in an attempt to answer the question above. Data were collected through CATI survey of 143 randomly recruited retail chains operating in Poland. The findings indicate that target groups of retail brands considered as the strategic ones for retailers in Poland are diversified. They strongly vary in terms of economic, geographic, life style and demographic criteria for market segmentation. Amongst the most important target groups retailers mentioned: residents of large cities, high-quality oriented consumers, novelty- seekers and seniors.
    W literaturze przedmiotu podkreśla się rosnące znaczenie marek detalistów, w tym marek sieci detalicznych oraz wskazuje się, że w ostatnich latach następuje znaczne zróżnicowanie strategii marek detalistów, w tym grup docelowych tych marek. Niewiele jest jednak badań dotyczących znaczenia grup docelowych w strategiach marek sieci detalicznych, zwłaszcza tych działających na polskim rynku. Celem artykułu jest więc odpowiedź na następujące pytanie badawcze: które grupy docelowe mają największe znaczenie jako segmenty docelowe marek dla działających w Polsce sieci detalicznych? W celu odpowiedzi na to pytanie przeprowadzono badania ilościowe metodą ankietową z zastosowaniem techniki CATI na próbie 143 losowo wybranych, działających w Polsce sieci detalicznych. W wyniku badań empirycznych potwierdzono, że segmenty docelowe produktów oznaczonych markami detalistów są zdywersyfikowane. Gestorzy badanych sieci detalicznych za istotne segmenty docelowe uznali konsumentów różniących się kryteriami ekonomicznymi, geograficznymi, stylu życia i demograficznymi. Wśród najważniejszych wskazali m.in. mieszkańców dużych miast, konsumentów zorientowanych na wysoką jakość, poszukujących nowości i osoby starsze.

    Digitisation and, the closely related thereto, technological progress have also found their way into the cybercrime aspect. Particularly vulnerable to this phenomenon are institutions that handle confidential information - especially financial institutions. The main purpose of the paper is to present a typology of threats having an impact on the way of managing information by the users of electronic banking. The paper points out the need to understand the essence of information management security. It emphasises the importance of taking regular actions, not only in the organisational perspective, but also in the individual perspective. The results of secondary research, as analysed in the paper, allow to outline the scale of the cybercrime problem in electronic banking. Besides, they show a disturbingly low level of awareness among ordinary people as regards the application of security measures to increase the level of safety in the usage of financial services by individuals.
    Digitalizacja i ściśle z nią związany postęp technologiczny również znalazły swoje miejsce w aspekcie cyberprzestępczości. Szczególnie narażone na to zjawisko są instytucje, które zajmują się informacjami poufnymi - zwłaszcza instytucje finansowe. Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie typologii zagrożeń mających wpływ na sposób zarządzania informacjami przez użytkowników bankowości elektronicznej. W artykule zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę zrozumienia istoty bezpieczeństwa zarządzania informacjami. Podkreśla się znaczenie podejmowania regularnych działań, nie tylko w perspektywie organizacyjnej, ale również w perspektywie indywidualnej. Wyniki badan wtórnych, przeanalizowane w artykule, pozwalają na zarysowanie skali problemu cyberprzestępczości w bankowości elektronicznej. Ponadto wykazują niepokojąco niski poziom świadomości zwykłych ludzi w zakresie stosowania środków bezpieczeństwa w celu zwiększenia poziomu bezpieczeństwa korzystania z usług finansowych przez osoby fizyczne.

    In this work empirical functions which relate the full-energy peak efficiency with sample height, energy, matrix composition and bulk density for voluminal samples in a cylindrical counting geometry were found. Accurate determination of the radioactivity of gamma-emitting radionuclides in environmental samples requires taking into account self-absorption. For the obtained self-absorption correction factor, a direct transmission method was chosen. Finally, this paper proposes a simple correlation between the self-absorption correction factor and the bulk density and height of the measured sample for a given energy.

    Purpose: The patients expect optimal knee function after Total Knee Arthroplasty. It is necessary to apply appropriate surgical technique and supervised physical therapy. The optimal management of posterior cruciate ligament remains controversial. Both implant designs, i.e., cruciate retaining and posterior substituting, allow the orthopedic surgeon to achieve excellent clinical outcomes, as measured by commonly used questionnaires. Such methods of assessment may poorly reflect the functional status of patients. Therefore, three-dimensional gait analysis is recommended to evaluate the outcomes of surgical intervention. This study sought to determine differences in kinematic gait parameters and Knee Society Score between cruciate-retaining and posterior-substituting patients. Methods:23 individuals after cruciate-retaining total knee arthroplasty and 19 individuals after posterior-substituting total knee arthroplasty were subjected to gait analysis using three-dimensional motion capture system BTS Smart DX 7000. In addition, gait was assessed in 21 patients with knee osteoarthritis and in 30 healthy individuals. Results: The study did not reveal differences between cruciate-retaining and posterior-substituting groups, both in terms of Knee Society Score and kinematic gait parameters. There were also no differences in kinematic gait parameters between patients from the knee osteoarthritis group and total knee arthroplasty groups. The analyzed parameters in all of the groups differed significantly from those found in healthy individuals. Conclusions: Surgical technique and implant design do not affect values of kinematic gait parameters evaluated under natural walking speed. Several months after surgery the patients still demonstrated alterations in gait pattern, similar to those recorded in patients with knee osteoarthritis.

    The present study determined the effect of preliminary hydrothermal depolymerization and enzymatic hydrolysis of Miscanthus giganteus biomass on the yield of methane fermentation in terms of the quantity and composition of biogas produced. Enzymatic hydrolysis of the substrate led to an increase in the volume of biogas produced from 0.12 dm3/g substrate in the samples without enzymes to 0.17 dm3/g substrate in variant I, as well as a significant increase in methane. In addition, there were noticeable decreases in dry matter content in all variants to which the enzymatic multicomplex had been added.

    In this work, we study the influence of the PEDOT to PSS ratio on the optical properties of PEDOT:PSS thin solid films using spectroscopic ellipsometry and UV-vis spectrometry. In the data analysis, we develop a consisted composition dependent optical model of PEDOT:PSS. This enabled us to account for contributions from PSS part within the Tauc-Lorentz optical model and from PEDOT part within the Drude-Lorentz optical model. Moreover, we relate the optical properties of PEDOT:PSS thin solid films to their electrical specific conductivities in the frame of the generalized effective medium theory. Determined in this manner electrical conductivities of five commercially available water dispersions of PEDOT:PSS are compared with their nominal values.
