Opis:
The subject of this paper is the control possibility of the multiphase cage induction motors having number of phases greater than 3. These motors have additional properties for speed control that distinguish them from the standard 3 phase motors: operation at various sequences of supplying voltages due to the inverter control and possible operation with few open-circuited phases. For each supply sequence different no load speeds at the same frequency can be obtained. This feature extends the motor application for miscellaneous drive demands including vector or scalar control. This depends mainly on the type of the stator winding for a given number of phases, since the principle of motor operation is based on co-operation of higher harmonics of magnetic field. Examples of operation are presented for a 9-phase motor, though general approach has been discussed. This motor was fed by a voltage source inverter at field oriented control with forced currents. The mathematical model of the motor was reduced to the form incorporating all most important physical features and appropriate for the control law formulation. The operation was illustrated for various supply sequences for “healthy” motor and for the motor operating at one phase broken. The obtained results have shown that parasitic influence of harmonic fields interaction has negligible influence on motor operation with respect to the useful coupling for properly designed stator winding.

Opis:
In this paper the mathematical model of the brushless DC motor (BLDCM) with a double 3-phase stator winding is analysed. Both the 3-phase windings are mutually displaced by 30 electrical degree. Special care has been sacrificed to influence of higher harmonics of induced electromotive forces (EMF) on electromagnetic torque and zero sequence voltages that may be used for sensorless control. The mathematical model has been presented in natural variables and, after transformation to symmetrical components, in a vector form. This allows, from one side, for formulating the equivalent circuit suitable for circuit oriented simulators (e.g.: Spice, SimPowerSystems of Simulink) and, from the other point of view, for analysis of higher harmonics influence on control possibilities. These considerations have been illustrated with some results of four quadrant operation obtainded due to simulation at automatic control.

Opis:
The universal mathematical model of cage induction motor must assure all possible kinds of motor operation. There are two the most important: operation at different sequences of supplying voltages or currents causing different no load speeds and operation with open-circuited phases caused by supplying converter or the machine damage. The first feature is bound with a real stator winding producing a spectrum of magneto motive force (MMF) and the second with modelling of current flow breaks. Such a model can be also used for modelling the ideal multiphase motor with sinusoidally distributed windings. This is the subject of this paper. The mathematical model has been developed from the description in symmetrical components. That allowed for designation of model parameters and space vectors defining. This model can be presented as the equivalent circuit for transient states and this circuit can be used for circuit oriented simulators (Spice, Simulink/SimPowerSystems, Saber, TINA etc.). As a consequence the mathematical model can be a background for training of different control strategies and determination of mechanical characteristics. The use of model has been illustrated by an example.

Opis:

Opis:
In this paper, the impact damage to the motors on the course of zero-sequence voltage and its spectrum is presented. Detection signals results from detail analysis of the formula describing this voltage component is induced in the stator windings due to core magnetic saturation and the discrete displacement of windings. Its course is affected by operating both the stator and the rotor. Other fault detection methods, by analysing the spectrum of stator currents, are known and widely applied. The presented method is under investigation, but may be a complement to the other because of easy measurement of the zero voltage for star connected motors. The results of the method are presented by measurements and explained using mathematical modelling for the slip-ring induction motor.

Opis:
In this paper the computer model of the cage induction machine incorporating magnetic nonlinearity was presented. The model contains the mathematical model of the induction machine recorded as an S-function and the connecting blocs attaching the model from one side to the three phase terminals of the supply system model and from the other to the system of mechanical model. Hence, SimPowerSystems and SimMechanics libraries can be used. Such a methodology allows for various drives modelling were the induction machine operates as a motor or a generator and cooperates with power electronics. Using wide range of Simulink possibilities various control techniques can be applied. Using this methodology the own mathematical models of other electrical machines together with the Simulink library models can be used.

In this paper we report the elastooptic constants p$\text{}_{ij}$ of strontium lanthanum aluminate, SrLaAlO$\text{}_{4}$ and strontium lanthanum gallate SrLaGaO$\text{}_{4}$ single crystals, which were determined at room temperature using Brillouin scattering method. In order to investigate the elastooptic constants of SrLaAlO$\text{}_{4}$ and SrLaGaO$\text{}_{4}$ single crystals, a substitution method proposed by Cummins and Schoen, and developed by Nelson and Lax was used. The obtained results are also discussed in terms of the nature defects which might arise in these crystals during growth process.

Opis:
Mechanical site preparation (MSP) is commonly used to enable forest regeneration of clear-cuts. Less intense methods may be more suitable from an environmental point of view, but such a method can result in the lack of natural regeneration. We compare the influence of three MSP methods on natural regeneration of Scots pine. The methods differ in their degree of soil disturbance. The effects of MSP by forest plough (FP), active plough (AP), and forest cutter (FC) on density, quality, and biometric parameters of one-year old seedlings were determined. The highest density of seedlings was obtained in the FP treatment (188,000 seedlings ha–1). The seedling density was significantly lower in the AP method (121,000 seedlings ha–1), and in the FC variant (36,000 seedlings ha–1). The best quality seedlings were found in the FC variant, and the worst – in the FP treatment. Most biometric parameters of seedlings did not differ by MSP method, except for the root length and root:shoot ratio. By the end of growing season, in the FP treatment, 1-year old seedlings formed a top bud more than twice as often as the seedlings from the AP and FC treatments. The FP method led to the best Scots pine natural regeneration. The results obtained in the FC variant were not as good as in the FP method, though they were still acceptable from the silvicultural point of view. The FC method was the least intensive method of site preparation, yet it is considered the most appropriate from the environmental (soil protection) point of view.
