Opis:
A new method of indirect flow rate measurement in a pneumatic pipeline system was developed by the authors. The method enables to measure the controlled leakage in a branch line and was used to construct automatic measuring systems auditing the compressed air systems (CAS) piping. In the CAS audit the volume and cost of the leakage in a compressed air pipeline system is evaluated. Based on the authors’ patent, an automatic measuring system (AMS) for measurement of the leakage flow rate in industrial compressed air system piping, was developed. The AMS consists of a measurement device (MD) and a control system (CS). In the measurement device (MD) a novel bifunctional pneumatic proportional control valve is used. The AMS system will be used in the new research project “Mobile laboratory of compressed air system audit” based on the authors’ concept.

Opis:
The aim of the study was to perform bioelectric signal analysis focusing on its applicability to control of the electro-hydraulic servo drive. The natural bioelectric signals generated by brain, facial muscles and eye muscles read by the NIA (Neural Impulse Actuator) are translated into control commands in the controller of electro-hydraulic servo drive. Bioelectric signals detected by means of special forehead band with three sensors are sent to the actuator box, where they are interpreted as control signals. The test stand was constructed to control of the electro-hydraulic servo drive by means of bioelectric signals generated by the operator. The control signals from the actuator box are transmitted via a wireless network to the controller of electro-hydraulic positioning drive.

Opis:
The paper presents the design and experimental test of a tripod type-3UPRR pneumatic parallel manipulator. This manipulator consists of three identical kinematic chains (pneumatic axes) connecting the fixed base and the moving platform. The tool center point TCP of the moving platform is a resultant of relocation of three pneumatic rodless cylinders independently controlled by servo-valves. For simulation purposes a solid model of pneumatic tripod parallel manipulator in SolidWorks was constructed. Since the application of 3-CAD in modelling kinematics and dynamics of parallel manipulators is restricted further simulation was carried out by means of SimMechanics library and Matlab-Simulink package. The experimental research focused on determining the precision of positioning of manipulator's end-effector point of the moving platform during point-to-point control.
