Opis:
Infl uence of the content of impurities and grease on the results of heat resistance and hair cover dielectricity on the basis of wool from Huacaya alpaca and Racka sheep. In recent years, the test method has become more and more popular by defi ning the electrical characteristics of various materials. The test is based on the difference in characteristic of the material in the electromagnetic fi eld, which is described by the level of resistance or dielectric properties of the test material. The use of phenomena related to current fl ow and resistance makes it possible to evaluate the material being tested. Determination of the material quality by this method shows differences at molecular level, which makes it more accurate than in the case of traditional methods. The study investigated the effect of impurities and grease content on the results of heat resistance and dielectricity on hair cover on the basis of wool from Huacaya alpaca and Hungarian’s Racka sheep. Studies have shown that washed wool has a better dielectric strength than greasy wool, as it has a higher resistance (P < 0.05). Wool from the Racka sheep contained more organic, organic matter and grease than alpaca wool, so the heat insulation of sheep was higher than in alpaca. Research has also shown that greasy matter together with non-organic and organic infl uences the results of electric characteristics testing, reducing wool resistance of the tested species. Wool wash affected the level of heat resistance of sheep wool and alpaca wool (P < 0.05). To conclude, washed wool is a better dielectric, which has a more positive effect on the skin coatings of people wearing clothes. However, wool washing causes a decrease in the thermal insulation of the wool.

Opis:
Seeding of cells on functional, biocompatible scaffolds is a crucial step in achieving the desired engineered tissue. The authors show the constructional solutions of the Nd:YAG pulse laser system with the Q-switch modulation for direct and interferential shaping of the surface of biocompatible materials. The two-channel interference system is distinguished by high control, simplicity and repetitiveness regarding laser energy level and dimensions of the surface structures. The experiments were conducted on hard, biocompatible substrates of amorphous carbon (diamond-like carbon, DLC) and were preliminarily tested on smooth muscle cell depositions.

Opis:
Detailed studies on the effects of pulsed laser interference heating on surface characteristics and subsurface microstructure of amorphous Fe80Si11B9 alloy are reported. Laser interference heating, with relatively low pulsed laser energy (90 and 120 mJ), but with a variable number (from 50-500) of consecutive laser pulses permitted to get energy accumulation in heated areas. Such treatment allowed to form two- Dimensional micro-islands of laser-affected material periodically distributed in amorphous matrix. The crystallization process of amorphous FeSiB ribbons was studied by means of scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Detailed microstructural examination showed that the use of laser beam, resulted in development of nanostructure in the heated areas of the amorphous ribbon. The generation of nanocrystalline seed islands created by pulsed laser interference was observed. This key result may evidently give new knowledge concerning the differences in microstructure formed during the conventional and lased induced crystallization the amorphous alloys. Further experiments are needed to clarify the effect of pulsed laser interference crystallization on magnetic properties of these alloys.

Opis:
The paper presents CFD analysis of fuel flow in the CNG injector. The issues such a pressure drop along an injector channel, mass flow through the key sections of the injector geometry, flow rates, the impact of the needle shape on the deflection of the sprayed gas cone and the impact of the wall head are analyzed in the article. The simulation was made in the transient states conditions for full injection process, including the opening and closing of the injector. An injection time of 6 ms, velocity of 0.33 mm/ms and a lift of 0.5 mm were selected for opening and closing of injector based on experimental test. The simulation shows that the volume inside the injector is a kind of fuel accumulator, and the opening process of the needle influence the flow parameters in an inlet cross-section after a certain time, depending on a channel cross section. The calculations allowed to select the ratio of an injector duct cross sectional area to the aperture area of the injection capable of the reducing pressure loss. The unusual location of the injector in the socket of a glow plug in the Andoria ADCR engine makes a stream be impaired by a part of the head. This research result would be useful in developing an injector construction which will be used for an investigation of CNG addition into diesel engine.

Opis:
This paper discusses the modeling of a fuel injector to be applied in a two-stroke diesel engine. A one-dimensional model of a diesel injector was modeled in the AVL Hydsim. The research assumption is that the combustion chamber will be supplied with one or two spray injectors with a defined number of nozzle holes. The diameter of the nozzle holes was calculated for the defined options to provide a correct fuel amount for idling and the maximum load. There was examined the fuel mass per injection and efficient flow area. The studies enabled us to optimize the injector nozzle, given the option of fuel injection into the combustion chamber to be followed.
