    In this paper the results of experimental studies concerning the phenomenon of initial period of the wear of differently coated sintered carbide tools when dry orthogonal cutting of an AISI 321 austenitic stainless steel are presented. The motivation for this study results from the lack of technological guides concerning the optimal choice of coated cutting tools for machining of corrosion resistant austenitic stainless steels. A number of cutting tool inserts with the plane rake face made of a fine H10F sintered carbide substrate with specially deposited TiN, including TiCN, TiAlN, AlTiN and AlCrN single layers were used in wear tests. Both rake and flank faces of the cutting inserts were examined by optical and confocal microscopy after controlled tool wear. The possible wear mechanisms in terms of changes of the tool-chip contact were investigated.

    Opis:
    Management of production processes in modern enterprises is a very complex issue. Efficient and effective functioning of enterprises is possible through optimization and automation of production processes. The proper organization of production processes and the ability to adapt to continuous changes in the business environment provide a competitive edge for a company. This article presents the optimization of the manufacturing process execution through the implementation of the Manufacturing Execution System in the audited company and the effects of changes as well as resulting benefits. The system of the MES class implemented in the company has contributed to improvement of many areas of company's operations.
    Zarządzanie procesami produkcyjnymi w nowoczesnych przedsiębiorstwach jest złożonym zagadnieniem. Sprawne i efektywne funkcjonowanie przedsiębiorstw jest możliwe dzięki optymalizacji i automatyzacji procesów produkcyjnych. Odpowiednia organizacja procesów produkcyjnych i umiejętność dostosowania się do ciągłych zmian w środowisku biznesowym zapewnia przewagę konkurencyjną dla firmy. W artykule przedstawiono optymalizację procesu produkcyjnego poprzez wdrożenie Systemu Zarządzania Produkcją w firmie oraz określono efekty zmian, także wynikające z nich korzyści. System klasy MES wdrożony w firmie przyczynił się do poprawy wielu obszarów jej działania.

    The optimization of surface roughness values considered as one of the most significant issues regarding turning process of titanium alloys with the use of minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) method. With such an aim in mind, the application of TOPSIS-AHP method is implemented in order to establish the most favourable cutting parameters for the following values of surface roughness: Ra, Rq and Rz in machining of titanium alloys regarding MQL conditions. The proposed methodology consists of the two stages. At the beginning, tests on turning process were performed on CNC lathe, taking feed rate, approach angle, and cutting speed as input parameters. Then, the TOPSIS-AHP method was applied on the given experimental data and the optimum machining parameters were determined. The findings from current investigations showed that, lower values of cutting speed, feed rate and middle value of approach angle shows the optimal results.

    This article shows the static analysis of rear suspension beam loading in a combine harvester manufactured by New Holland Bizon Sp. z o.o. The model of the examined machine with thresher rotor (Z110 model) was being manufactured until 2001, and further modifications of combine harvesters with the mentioned threshing system are being made so far [1]. The research conducted with the use of programs: Inventor 2017 for generating the digital model and Nastran In-CAD 2017 for simulation calculations. The aim of this article is to analyze and evaluate the accuracy of the combine harvester Bizon Z110 construction. The findings of the study suggest a possibility of stress accumulation in welded joints of construction. In result, solutions to the described problems were provided.
    Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia analizę statyczną belki nośnej wózka tylnego kombajnu zbożowego produkowanego przez New Holland Bizon Sp. z o.o. Model analizowanej maszyny o omłocie rotorowym (wersji Z110) był produkowany do 2001 roku, a kolejne modyfikacje kombajnów zbożowych o wspomnianym systemie omłotowym produkowane są do chwili obecnej [1]. Do badań wykorzystano: pakiet Inventor 2017 dla wygenerowania modelu numerycznego, natomiast do obliczeń symulacyjnych - Nastran in Cad 2017. Celem artykułu jest analiza i ocena prawidłowości konstrukcji ramy kombajnu zbożowego Bizon Z110. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na możliwość kumulowania się naprężeń w węzłach spawanych ramy. W konsekwencji zaproponowano możliwość rozwiązania opisywanych problemów.

    This paper presents experimental and 3D FEM simulation results obtained for the Johnson-Cook material constitutive model and variable cutting conditions. Face milling tests were carried out using a Ti6Al4V titanium alloy as the workpiece and coated carbide indexable inserts. CAD models of the cutting tool insert and the face milling head were generated and implemented into FEM package used. The machining conditions were selected based on real production data from aerospace sector. In particular, changes of power and specific cutting energy were analyzed in terms of the rotation angle of the milling head and the ratio of the uncut chip thickness against the cutting edge radius.

    Introduction and objective. The family is a reliable and permanent source of support for every human being. It is the key link in the welfare system. The aim of the study is to assess parents’ attitudes towards the occurrence of a difficult situation resulting from a child’s chronic illness. Material and methods. The study involved randomly selected parents of children with chronic diseases (N=107). The study was carried out at the Dental Clinic of the ‘Little Prince’ Children’s Hospice in Lublin. Results. The study revealed that for parents a difficult life situation is mainly associated with the disability of a family member or a friend, whereas the action approach is the most frequently chosen attitude towards a child’s chronic disease. In the examined group of parents, a significant correlation was observed between the age of the parents and the choice of a specific parental attitude towards the child’s chronic disease (in terms of intellectual approach). However, no significant correlations were found between the parents’ place of residence and the choice of a specific parental attitude towards the chronic disease of a child. Conclusions. During the diagnosis of chronically ill children, parents should also be educated in this regard. Therapy and psychological help, as well as directing parents to relevant support groups, organizations or associations, will prove immensely valuable while coping with a difficult life situation.
