In this paper the development and method of production of modern, Ni-free sintered structural steels containing Cr, Mn and Mo, enabling the production of structural sintered steels in industrial conditions, using safe, with low H2-content, sintering atmospheres is presented. For this purpose, the analysis of microstructure and mechanical properties of these sintered structural steels produced in different processing conditions and also the connections between the microstructure of sintered material and its mechanical properties, was presented. Following the investigations, the appropriate chemical composition of sintered Ni-free steels with properties which are comparable or even better than those of sintered structural steels containing rich and carcinogenic nickel was choosen. Additionally, in the paper the properties of electrolitically coated carbon steels were presented, as the beginning of investigation for improving the mechanical properties of alloyed, structural sintered steels.

Opis:
The results of investigations, performed both under industrial and laboratory conditions, of the selected problems concerning the abrasion resistance of the aluminized steel strips and tubes are presented in the paper. Steel strips and tubes of the DX52D+AS120 grade with the Al-Si coating (of a silica content 9-12% and thickness ca 20 žm), hot dip on both sides were tested. The coating surfaces on the charge strip used for production of welded tubes were observed. Tests of thickness and roughness changes carried out on fragments of open-joint tube and on the finished product constituted the bases for laboratory investigations. An influence of various lubricating-cooling mediums on the abrasion resistance of the Al-Si coating was determined in laboratory tests. Investigations allowed to select the medium, which fulfils the expectations considering the coating surface quality in relation to its abrasion resistance. Devices for non-destructive coating thickness and roughness measurements were applied. The digital photo apparatus and optical microscope were used for illustrating coating changes due to abrasion tests.

The article presents an example of the use of functional series for the analysis of nonlinear systems for discrete time signals. The homogeneous operator is defined and it is decomposed into three component operators: the multiplying operator, the convolution operator and the alignment operator. An important case from a practical point of view is considered – a cascade connection of two polynomial systems. A new, binary algorithm for determining the sequence of complex kernels of cascade from two sequences of kernels of component systems is presented. Due to its simplicity, it can be used during iterative processes in the analysis of nonlinear systems (e.g. feedback systems).

In this paper the way of modeling phenomena occurring during the voltage and current waves passing through a point connection of two lines, with different wave impedance operators, is presented. This connection point is called „the wave transformer”. The analyzes and the resulting formulas concern not the frequency domain, but the time domain. The appropriate transition matrices of waves through the wave transformer are defined. This matrices are the convolution integral-derivative operators of fractional order (the digital filters). For a lossless line the wave transition matrices through the wave transformer become number type instead of operator type. All matrix multiplications occurring in the formulas should be understood in convolution way.

The simple digital filters are not sufficient for digital modeling of systems with distributed parameters. It is necessary to apply more complex digital filters. In this work, a set of filters, called the digital function filters, is proposed. It consists of digital filters, which are obtained from causal and stable filters through some function transformation. In this paper, for several basic functions: exponential, logarithm, square root and the real power of input filter, the recursive algorithms of the digital function filters have been determined The digital function filters of exponential type can be obtained from direct recursive formulas. Whereas, the other function filters, such as the logarithm, the square root and the real power, require using the implicit recursive formulas. Some applications of the digital function filters for the analysis and synthesis of systems with lumped and distributed parameters (a long line, phase shifters, infinite ladder circuits) are given as well.

In the complex RLC network, apart from the currents flows arising from the normal laws of Kirchhoff, other distributions of current, resulting from certain optimization criteria, may also be received. This paper is the development of research on distribution that meets the condition of the minimum energy losses within the network called energy-optimal distribution. Optimal distribution is not reachable itself, but in order to trigger it off, it is necessary to introduce the control system in current-dependent voltage sources vector, entered into a mesh set of a complex RLC network. For energy-optimal controlling, to obtain the control operator, the inversion of R(s) operator is required. It is the matrix operator and the dispersive operator (it depends on frequency). Inversion of such operators is inconvenient because it is algorithmically complicated. To avoid this the operator R(s) is replaced by the R’ operator which is a?matrix, but non-dispersive one (it does not depend on s). This type of control is called the suboptimal control. Therefore, it is important to make appropriate selection of the R’ operator and hence the suboptimal control. This article shows how to implement such control through the use of matrix operators of multiple differentiation or integration. The key aspect is the distribution of a single rational function H(s) in a series of ‘s’ or ‘s1’. The paper presents a new way of developing a given, stable rational transmittance with real coefficients in power series of ‘s/s1. The formulas to determine values of series coefficients (with ‘s/s1’) have been shown and the conditions for convergence of differential/integral operators given as series of ‘s/s1’ have been defined.

The article presents the basic mathematical theory of the operational calculus of the L1-impulses in the discrete time domain. It presents the isomorphism between the rational function set of complex variable and the exponential L1 impulses set of positive and negative time domain. The paper shows how for any factorization of the rational function consisting of casual and noncasual parts can be directly obtained the N – periodic version of the original signal using for the individual components of the L1 impulses N – copy formula. It is done by the distribution of the convolution – the type admitance operator Y of electrical circuit to the two commutative convolution operators and on this basis is obtained the distribution of electrical circuit current to two components: the active current and the reactive current in the discrete time domain using the cyclic convolutions. The distribution of current in the time domain for signals significantly different from the sinusoidal is much more favorable than the distribution in the frequency domain.

The article presents a properly planned and designed tests of the abrasive wear resistance 2024 aluminum alloy strips under friction conditions involving various lubricants. Test were focused on the selection of the best lubricant for use in industrial environment, especially for sheet metal forming. Three lubricants of the Orlen Oil Company and one used in the sheet metal forming industry, were selected for tests. Tests without the use of lubricant were performed for a comparison. The tester T-05 was used for testing resistance to wear. As the counter samples were used tool steel - NC6 and steel for hot working - WCL, which are typical materials used for tools for pressing. The results are presented in the form of the force friction, abrasion depth, weight loss and coefficient of friction depending on the lubricant used and the type of counter samples. The results allowed for predicting set lubricant-material for tools which can be applied to sheet metal made of aluminum alloy 2024.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań odporności na zużycie blach ze stopu aluminium serii 2024 w różnych warunkach smarowania. Badania były ukierunkowane na wybór najlepszego środka smarnego do zastosowania w warunkach przemysłowych, przede wszystkim do tłoczenia blach. Do badań wytypowano trzy środki smarne firmy Orlen Oil oraz jeden środek smarny stosowany w przemyśle do tłoczenia blach. Dla porównania wykonano również badania bez użycia środka smarnego. Do badań odporności na zużycie wykorzystano tester T-05. Jako materiały przeciwpróbek zastosowano stal narzędziową NC6 oraz stal do pracy na gorąco WCL, będące typowymi materiałami wykorzystywanymi na narzędzia do tłoczenia. Wyniki badań przedstawiono w postaci zależności siły tarcia, głębokości wytarcia, ubytku masy i współczynnika tarcia od zastosowanego środka smarnego i rodzaju przeciwpróbki. Wyniki badań pozwoliły na wytypowanie najlepszego, spośród badanych, zestawu środek smarny-materiał na narzędzia, do tłoczenia blach ze stopu aluminium z gatunku 2024.

The paper presents example results of numerical and photogrammetric analysis leading to identify the causes of cracking and wrinkling during bathtub W1200 production. The verification of tools for the stamping of bathtub W1200 was performed using finite element method and photogrammetric system ATOS Triple Scan. A series of industrial tests was conducted to identify the model parameters. The major and minor strain distributions obtained from the finite element simulations were used in conjunction with the forming limit diagram to predict the onset of fracture. In addition, the effects of blank holder pressure and friction on the occurrence of fracture and wrinkling were investigated.
W artykule przedstawiono przykładowe wyniki analiz numerycznych i fotogrametrycznych mających na celu identyfikację przyczyn powstawania fałdowania i pękania wanny serii W1200 w trakcie cyklu produkcyjnego. Weryfikacja narzędzi przeznaczonych do tłoczenia wanny W1200 została przeprowadzona przy użyciu metody elementów skończonych oraz precyzyjnego systemu fotogrametrycznego ATOS Triple Scan. W trakcie prac badawczych przeprowadzono cykl procesów nadzorowanych procesu produkcyjnego mającego na celu identyfikację parametrów modelu numerycznego. Odkształcenia duże i małe wyznaczone na podstawie symulacji numerycznych w połączeniu z krzywą odkształceń granicznych (KOG) pozwoliły na identyfikację krytycznych rejonów wytłoczki narażonych na fałdowanie i pękanie. Dodatkowo w trakcie przeprowadzonych prac przeanalizowano wpływ warunków tarcia oraz nacisku w kontekście powstawania fałdowania i pękania wytłoczki.

This paper presents practical capabilities of a system for ceramic mould quality forecasting implemented in an industrial plant (foundry). The main assumption of the developed solution is the possibility of eliminating a faulty mould from a production line just before the casting operation. It allows relative savings to be achieved, and faulty moulds, and thus faulty castings occurrence in the production cycle to be minimized. The numerical computing module (the DEFFEM 3D package), based on the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) is one of key solutions of the system implemented. Due to very long computing times, the developed numerical module cannot be effectively used to carry out multi-variant simulations of mould filling and solidification of castings. To utilize the benefits from application of the CUDA architecture to improve the computing effectiveness, the most time consuming procedure of looking for neighbours was parallelized (cell-linked list method). The study is complemented by examples of results of performance tests and their analysis.

The Precambrian basement and Lower Paleozoic (Cambrian–Ordovician) sedimentary cover in the eastern part of the Upper Silesian Block (Brunovistulicum), known only in boreholes, is presented, and their palaeogeographic, facies and palaeotectonic development is discussed. The former is characterized by a heterogeneous structure that consists of Archean-Lower Proterozoic and Neoproterozoic rocks of different lithologies and origins, and the latter is almost exclusively represented by marine, transitional and terrestrial siliciclastic rocks. In contrast to the neighbouring region of the western part of the Małopolska Block, the siliciclastic sedimentation took place during the Early and Middle Cambrian in this area, however, the Ordovician deposits were encountered in several boreholes and no Silurian rocks have been reported in the northern part of this region. The authors present the most probable model of sedimentation, tectonics and origin of the geological structure of the Lower Paleozoic sedimentary cover in the Upper Silesian Block, define research problems, and justify the need for new drillings. Based on the geological and structural analysis of the depth to the top surface of the Lower Paleozoic, they define the optimal location for three 1500 m deep boreholes to solve the basic research problems.

The Kaczawa Mountains along with the Kaczawa foothill comprise a complicated geological unit that is called the Kaczawa metamorphic (Sudetes, SW Poland). The aim of our work was to identify the iron-bearing minerals in samples of basalts and pillow lavas from the Kaczawa metamorphic using 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy. Based on the preliminary results, the Fe3+/Fe2+ ratio in the samples was determined.
