    Motivation: The pandemic's trajectory is challenging to be forecast. The COVID-19 pandemic modifications can cause the growth of infected people. Furthermore, the defined financial activity resulting from additional lockdowns may have a meaningful contrary impact on aggregate demand. The paper can motivate further study and examination in the field of financial indicators of the Walmart Inc. and other inspiring research. Aim: The research regards the selected Walmart's financial indicators during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the paper is the assessment of the financial situation of the Walmart Inc. as an American multinational retail corporation in light of COVID-19. Materials and methods: The paper is using of statistical, dynamics, comparative, documentation analysis. Results: The discussion shows that the multinational corporation within the retail sector succeeded in the research period. Walmart implemented the suitable mechanisms, solutions, and actions that mitigated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and, in consequence, positioned the world pioneer in multinational corporation retail in the leading rank against the rest of the entities competing in that diversified market.

    In this paper, the Lie symmetry analysis method is performed for a Bogoyavlenskii equation. The symmetries and exact invariant solutions for the equation are retrieved for the first time. The conservation laws of the Bogoyavlenskii equation are constructed using the conservation laws theorem introduced by Ibragimov.

    In this paper, we study general solutions of the new fifth order nonlinear evolution and the Burgers KP equations with the aid of the two variables (G'/G,1/G)-expansion method. The kink, bell-shaped solitary wave, periodic and singular periodic solutions are obtained. Finally, the numerical simulations add to these obtained solutions.

    Opis:
    In this study, we would like to address the issue of antiheroism in relation to the popular episodic television drama The Boys (Amazon Prime Video, since 2019). The television antihero is discussed quite frequently, but more often in a rather general manner than based on specific case studies. The study outlines the related terminological axis and then applies the individual theoretical frameworks to a specific episodic television drama that presents an axiologically and morally determined conflict between fictional characters of superheroines and superheroes and their counterparts, ordinary citizens, direct or indirect victims of amoral decisions made by people with superhuman abilities. As we believe, applying the given body of knowledge to the selected television drama via a case study allows us to explain the contemporary understanding of antiheroism in relation to fictional characters with superhuman abilities and, at the same time, outline the specific aspects of so-called society of performance on basis of theoretical reflection on the issue, followed by a qualitative content analysis of the episodic television drama The Boys focused on its selected narrative and discursive aspects.

    The management of the production assets in the Polish Mining Group Inc. is geared towards achieving strategic aims through the unification of the obtained machines/devices, their practical use while maintaining them in the proper technical condition, adhering to proper maintenance-renovation procedures, reserves optimization as well as final recycling with no re-use in the production cycle. The following paper presents the functioning of the IT support in the production assets management, geared towards the integration with other areas of technical and economic activities of the Group. The modular structure of the integrated IT system makes it possible to gradually implement the successive solutions functioning within the Group as well as in the surrounding local areas, ensuring the suitability to the current needs of the organization and the system users.

    CSR activities refer to the initiatives an individual corporate entity undertakes as an extra effort for the welfare of the society, environment as a whole. This initiative is a kind of gratitude shown by the corporates towards the society from whom they earn wholesome profits. This study aims in finding out how significant CSR activities are in making the customers’ perception towards a company. This study also intends to seek how companies can change customers’ perception towards it s products and services by widening the scope of their CSR activities. Interview of Human Resource senior Official and 100 other employees was undertaken to complete this study. The findings of the study suggest that there is a significant rise in the business performances and a very positive customer perception towards PNB MetLife through the conduction of CSR activities. With the boom of international trade and outsourcing business, their CSR conduct is the sine quo non for building a more powerful brand that customers’ perceive enthusiastically.

    Prior to filing for bankruptcy in 2008, Lehman Brothers Holding Inc., [LBHI] relied upon select repurchase agreements denominated “Repo 105” and “Repo 108” for the purpose of re-casting its balance sheet to meet net leverage ratios required by money markets. SFAS 140, as then existing without the 2011 amendment, provided a mechanism to treat “ordinary borrowings” as “asset sales”. LBHI used SFAS 140 to justify Repo 105 and Repo 108 transactions to engineer its balance sheet. The accounting treatment resulted in the publication of misleading quarterly and annual Financial Statements relied upon by external users to make investment decisions. In 2011 and 2012, the Southern District of New York issued opinions in the consolidated LBHI litigation. The finding that LBHI correctly applied the criteria of SFAS 140 to justify “borrowings” as “asset sales” under Repo 105 and Repo 108 is fundamentally flawed. During the period 2000 until 2008, Ernst & Young [E&Y] served as the outside auditor of LBHI. Legal principles governing the obligations of auditors support a finding that E&Y committed professional malpractice by issuing unqualified audit opinions knowing that LBHI failed to disclose its liabilities to repurchase transferred securities under Repo 105 and Repo 108 transactions. Economic analysis of non-contractual obligations [tort] supports a reformulation of the legal standard governing auditor liability to external users of audited financial statements containing materially misleading information. The reformulated standard allocates incentives to take precautions both to the audit firm and to the external user to achieve an efficient allocation of the cost of harm ensuing from defective information products.

    Slovak medieval musicology saw its remarkable revival at the beginning of the third millennium. It could draw on the fundamental research on medieval Latin sources carried out by the codicologist Július Sopko in the 1980s and on the specialized articles of the musicologists Konštantín Hudec, Richard Rybarič, Ľubomír Vajdička, and Zuzana Czagányová. Systematic in-depth research on medieval notated sources held by Slovak archives, museums, and libraries was started by the musicologist Eva Veselovská of the Institute of Musicology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava in collaboration with Rastislav Adamko and the author of this study, both lecturers at the Department of Music of the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University in Ružomberok. Thanks to the twenty-year-long research – tracking down, digitalizing, studying the sources, and making them accessible – a number of monographs, catalogues, scholarly studies, and specialized articles have been published on this topic. In this study, we will zoom in on a recently discovered fragment with staveless notation, deposited in the archive of the Premonstratensian Abbey in Jasov in eastern Slovakia. The original manuscript was used in a diocesan environment. The textual and neumatic analysis and comparison of the chants of the Jasov fragment and the comparative sources has revealed a high percentage of their reciprocal similarity and we may consequently presume that the original breviary from which the respective bifolio was removed originated in a South German region and was probably later imported to the territory of Slovakia.
    Słowacka muzykologia średniowieczna przeżyła niezwykłe odrodzenie na początku trzeciego tysiąclecia. Mogłaby czerpać z podstawowych badań nad średniowiecznymi źródłami łacińskimi, które przeprowadził kodykolog Július Sopko w latach 80. XX wieku oraz ze specjalistycznych artykułów muzykologów Konštantína Hudeca, Richarda Rybariča, Ľubomíra Vajdički i Zuzany Czagányovej. Systematyczne, dogłębne badania średniowiecznych źródeł pisanych, przechowywanych w słowackich archiwach, muzeach i bibliotekach rozpoczęła muzykolog Eva Veselovská z Instytutu Muzykologii Słowackiej Akademii Nauk w Bratysławie we współpracy z Rastislavem Adamko i autorką niniejszego opracowania, wykładowcami Katedry Muzyki Wydziału Pedagogicznego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu w Rużomberku. Dzięki dwudziestoletnim badaniom – wyszukiwaniu, digitalizacji, badaniu źródeł i udostępnianiu ich – opublikowano na ten temat szereg monografii, katalogów, opracowań naukowych i artykułów specjalistycznych. W niniejszej publikacji przybliżono niedawno odkryty fragment z notacją bezkropkową, zdeponowany w archiwum opactwa Norbertanów w Jasovie we wschodniej Słowacji. Oryginalny rękopis był używany w środowisku diecezjalnym. Analiza tekstowa i neumatyczna oraz porównanie śpiewów fragmentu z Jasova i źródeł porównawczych wykazało wysoki procent ich wzajemnego podobieństwa, w związku z czym można przypuszczać, że oryginalny brewiarz, z którego usunięto odpowiednie bifolio, pochodził z regionu południowoniemieckiego i prawdopodobnie później został sprowadzony na terytorium Słowacji.
