Opis:: Intensive economic and urban processes which take place in Polish urbanized area have a significant impact on the changes of structure of territorial units, their functional development and demographic processes. Development of individual units is dependent on many factors like the location, demographic potential and economics. In the area of one voivodship - there are powiats with a various potential of development. As a subject of research powiats in the area of the Dolnośląskie Voivodship are selected. Taxonomic methods were used for the classification and grouping of powiats as a spatial objects tested in the multidimensional space of characteristics. The aim of the paper is to present the spatial variation in the level of development in the light of selected factors.

Opis:: This paper examines the role of export diversification for economic growth in CEE transition economies. The results prove that before the outbreak of 2008 financial crisis export specialization rather than diversification was an important growth factor, especially in those countries which followed more specialized export patterns. However, after the outbreak of the crisis the direction of this causal link changed essentially. All three main aspects of export diversification turned out to play a significant role in reducing the growth slowdown effects of the 2008 financial crisis.

Opis:: The steel substrate formed as the result of oxy-acetylene cutting (OAB) was treated differently - using: softening annealing, grinding and electro-polishing. Investigations were focused on the influence of additional processing on the structure and corrosion resistance of the deposited zinc coating. The hot - dip Zn galvanizing process was conducted in industrial conditions. Parameters were fixed: temperature 457 °C, dipping time 150 s. The coating thickness diversification dependent on the sub-surface steel structure was analysed and compared to the previous results. The correlation between conducted treatment and coatings morphology was determined.
