We solve the manufacturing problem of identifying the model statistical parameters ensuring a satisfactory quality of analog circuits produced in a photolithographic process. We formalize it in a statistical framework as the problem of inverting the mapping from the population of the circuit model parameters to the population of the performances. Both parameters and performances are random. From a sample of the latter population we want to identify the statistical features of the former that produce a performance distribution complying with production samples. The key artifact of the solution method we propose consists of describing the above mapping in terms of a mixture of granular functions, where each is responsible for a fuzzy set within the input-output space, hence for a cluster therein. The way of synthesizing the whole space as a mixture of these clusters is learnt directly from the examples. As a result, we have an analytical form of the mapping that approximates complex Spice models in terms of polynomials in the model parameters, and an implicit expression of the distribution law of the induced performances that allows a relatively quick and easy management of the model distribution statistical parameters. This flows into a semiautomatic procedure managing an adaptive composition of different granular modules to cope with the circuit peculiarities. We check the method both on real world manufacturing problems and on ad hoc benchmarks.

Series of tests were conducted in which short-circuit current was registered. Four different overcurrent protection devices were used for a set value of prospective current. Based on obtained data the short-circuit time was calculated. In order to obtain this information a procedure was developed. Later it was implemented with the help of numerical computation software Scilab. In this paper results of calculations, the procedure itself and its implementation are presented.

Opis:
Algorithms of calculation of a state of an electric circuit with passive components are described. Algorithms are intended for usage in system of simulation of the mixed electronic devices. Each component of a circuit is presented by program model of high complexity. In this article the resistor model is described. Electric voltages in circuit nodes are calculated by method of summation of volt-ampere characteristics. Component models control iterations at calculation of circuit nodes voltage. Results of calculation of voltage in R-2R ladder of the digital-to-analog converter are presented.

The paper describes the results of analysis on the resonance phenomenon in a parallel RLCα circuit with supercapacitor modeled as a fractional-order capacitance. A complex, more accurate fractional-order model has been taken into analysis. Formulas for frequency characteristics and resonance conditions have been derived and presented by simulation studies of the concerned fractional-order system.

This paper presents a new circuit capable of balancing harmonics-polluted three-phase power networks supplying single-phase loads. It takes into account the negative and positive sequences exhibited by the fifth and seventh harmonics, respectively. The concept extends the relations of the Steinmetz circuit, which are based exclusively on fundamental frequency considerations. The Steinmetz circuit does not, therefore, guarantee the balancing of the different harmonics in the line currents. Furthermore, it can lead to resonances between the capacitive and inductive elements in the two added balancing branches. A procedure for identifying the topology and the circuit parameters of the proposed connection is given. The results of a detailed case study are presented in order to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed circuit over the conventional Steinmetz connection.

Lately, there has been increased interest in hybrid excitation electrical machines. Hybrid excitation is a construction that combines permanent magnet excitation with wound field excitation. Within the general classification, these machines can be classified as modified synchronous machines or inductor machines. These machines may be applied as motors and generators. The complexity of electromagnetic phenomena which occur as a result of coupling of magnetic fluxes of separate excitation systems with perpendicular magnetic axis is a motivation to formulate various mathematical models of these machines. The presented paper discusses the construction of a unipolar hybrid excitation synchronous machine. The magnetic equivalent circuit model including nonlinear magnetization curves is presented. Based on this model, it is possible to determine the multi-parameter relationships between the induced voltage and magnetomotive force in the excitation winding. Particular attention has been paid to the analysis of the impact of additional stator and rotor yokes on above relationship. Induced voltage determines the remaining operating parameters of the machine, both in the motor and generator mode of operation. The analysis of chosen correlations results in an identification of the effective control range of electromotive force of the machine.

The article presents an analysis of phase resonance conditions for the parallel RLCα circuit with supercapacitor. Supercapacitors behaviour somehow differs from classic dielectric capacitors, therefore it is necessary to develop their new mathematical models, using fractional - order differential equations. A simple fractional - order supercapacitor model has been assumed, taking into account its internal equivalent series resistance ESR too. A lossless inductance has also been assumed and relations for equivalent admittance and resonance occurence conditions have been derived in the considered parallel RLCα circuit with supercapacitor. The analysis was conducted for different fractional-order parameter α values. Derived relations have been illustrated by simulation examples. The existence of resonance frequency depends largely on the supercapacitor series resistance value.

The future of cars will be connected with "by-wire" systems. The Technical University of Liberec, Department of vehicles and Engines has developed a design of testing equipment for directional control system testing. The objective of the newly designed equipment is to incorporate a wheel with a real tire and a flexible mounting of axle components. The paper describes properties and control of the hydraulic circuit consisting of two double-acting engines with a unilateral piston rod and two proportional valves (Parker D1FP). Each of the front axle wheels is controlled separately. The paper illustrates relationships andpotential of steer-by-wire systems at the experimental equipment. The safe and easy control of a vehicle undoubtedly poses significant requirements. Satisfying them and improving the design to enhance the vehicle's stability have always belonged to the primary objectives of designer s. Consequently, the chassis characteristics, the mechanical features of wheel suspensions, the quality of air suspensions, but also speed control (including brakes) and the vehicle 's directional control have always been emphasised. The objective of the paper was to design a steer-by-wire directional control mechanism with a suitable arrangement. The comparison focuses on various design options to arrange the action members (actuators) of this mechanism.

Opis:
Certain approach to the modelling dynamic states in technical systems is presented in this paper. This approach lies in a replacing classic differential model with a model based on fuzzy relational cognitive map. Described method is illustrated by practical example of simple electrical RLC circuit. The method of the normalized reference data preparation was described. The process of building a cognitive map with concepts crucial from the modelling purposes point of view was presented also results of such a map teaching process were shown. In the end a partial comparison of simulation results of work of models: classic - based on the set of differential equations and proposed - based on fuzzy relational cognitive map was performed.

This paper presents a new method for analog circuit design optimization. Our approach turns to good account the advantages offered by computational intelligence techniques. Design objectives can be expressed in a flexible manner using fuzzy sets. This way appears the possibility to consider different degrees for requirement achievements and acceptability degree for a particular solution. Neuro-fuzzy systems (universal approximators) are used to model the complex multi-variable and nonlinear circuit performances. These models satisfy two main requirements: high accuracy and low computation complexity. An efficient and robust genetic algorithm does avoiding local minima the exploration of the large, multidimensional solution space in quest for the optimal solution.

Analog circuits need more effective fault diagnosis methods. In this study, the fault diagnosis method of analog circuits was studied. The fault feature vectors were extracted by a wavelet transform and then classified by a generalized regression neural network (GRNN). In order to improve the classification performance, a wolf pack algorithm (WPA) was used to optimize the GRNN, and a WPA-GRNN diagnosis algorithm was obtained. Then a simulation experiment was carried out taking a Sallen–Key bandpass filter as an example. It was found from the experimental results that the WPA could achieve the preset accuracy in the eighth iteration and had a good optimization effect. In the comparison between the GRNN, genetic algorithm (GA)-GRNN and WPA-GRNN, the WPA-GRNN had the highest diagnostic accuracy, and moreover it had high accuracy in diagnosing a single fault than multiple faults, short training time, smaller error, and an average accuracy rate of 91%. The experimental results prove the effectiveness of the WPA-GRNN in fault diagnosis of analog circuits, which can make some contributions to the further development of the fault diagnosis of analog circuits.

Regarding the importance of short circuit and inrush current simulations in the split-winding transformer, a novel nonlinear equivalent circuit is introduced in this paper for nonlinear simulation of this transformer. The equivalent circuit is extended using the nonlinear inductances. Employing a numerical method, leakage and magnetizing inductances in the split-winding transformer are extracted and the nonlinear model inductances are estimated using these inductances. The introduced model is validated and using this nonlinear model, inrush and short-circuit currents are calculated. It has been seen that the introduced model is valid and suitable for simulations of the split-winding transformer due to various loading conditions. Finally, the effects of nonlinearity of the model inductances are discussed in the following.
