The escalating globalization of the market, increased competitiveness and the necessity to intensify actions directed at an appropriate level of logistics customer service, as well as the growth in provided services, are the most important strategic decisions made by transport enterprises. The tendency of transport enterprises to ensure fluidity of supplies and reduce the costs of transport processes requires the use of innovative technologies, which allow companies to improve the control of transport services. Enterprises plan transport services to minimize the costs. Therefore, looking for and implementing new solutions, which have an impact on increasing the efficiency of transport processes, are driving forces for every transport company. In this article, the authors conducted an analysis of the process of providing transport services in a specific enterprise. The authors also show that transport processes may be improved through the implementation of innovative monitoring system.

Transport plays an important role in national economies and impacts on economic development. The scale of the transportation of goods that may be dangerous to humans and the environment is expanding every year. Overall, transport is dangerous for the environment and road users, causing the increased emission of pollutants, accidents and traffic collisions. The rise in demand of basic materials, such as petrol and diesel, has led to a growth in the transport of dangerous goods, which in turn has increased the risk of road accidents. The research method used in this article involves an analysis of the inspection rates regarding the transport of dangerous goods by road in the EU and related legal documents.

In this article the authors present the implementation of an innovative automated powder coating process line in a company producing cooker hoods. To coat cooker hoods elements with powder paint we apply the technology of electrostatic powder coating with the preceding process of surface preparation, which is based on innovative technical and technological solutions. The implementation of fully automatized technological line for powder coating based on innovative technological solutions of surface preparing and coating allowed the Company (among others): to improve quality of anti-corrosion protection of powder coated cooker hoods, to maximize effectiveness of powder coating process and to realize production plans, to eliminate emission of hazardous substances, to decrease production costs, which significantly increase effective competition on the market.
W artykule autorzy zaprezentowali wdrożenie innowacyjnej zautomatyzowanej linii technologicznej malowania proszkowego w firmie produkującej okapy nadkuchenne. Do malowania detali, z których składa się okap kuchenny zastosowano technologię elektrostatycznego malowania farbami proszkowymi z poprzedzającym procesem przygotowania powierzchni detalu w oparciu o innowacyjne rozwiązania techniczne i technologiczne. Wdrożenie zautomatyzowanej linii do malowania farbami proszkowymi w oparciu o innowacyjne rozwiązanie technologiczne malowania i przygotowania powierzchni pozwoliła firmie na uzyskanie następujących efektów: poprawy jakości lakierowania okapów kuchennych, maksymalnej efektywności malowania i realizację planu produkcyjnego, wyeliminowania emisji do atmosfery substancji szkodliwych, obniżenia kosztów produkcji, a przez to zwiększenie konkurencyjność na rynku.

The paper highlights the need to adjust medium-sized combustion plants to the requirements of EU Directive 2015/2193 on the limitation of emissions. The results so far are presentations of reducing emissions of sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and dust in Poland. The Directive’s detailed guidelines are provided for existing and newly built combustion plants. Also analysed are actions to reduce pollutant emissions and the expected impact of new regulations on energy facilities in Poland.
W artykule zwrócono uwagę na konieczność dostosowania średnich obiektów spalania do wymogów Dyrektywy UE 2015/2193 w sprawie ograniczenia emisji zanieczyszczeń. Przedstawiono dotychczasowe wyniki w ograniczaniu emisji dwutlenku siarki, tlenków azotu oraz pyłów w Polsce. Podano szczegółowe wytyczne dyrektywy dotyczące obiektów energetycznych istniejących i nowo budowanych. Ponadto przeanalizowano działania ograniczające emisję zanieczyszczeń oraz spodziewany wpływ nowych przepisów na obiekty energetyczne w naszym kraju.

Transport is one of the key elements allowing to achieve goals, tasks and plans. Transport need results from the necessity of moving from one place to another. To make it happen, the resource in the form of a means of transport is necessary. Another aspect is organizational actions. The basic source of transport demand is diversity of distribution of the factors allowing to run business. Due to globalization of economy, range and frequency of transports have considerably increased. New logistic chains, networks of terminals and intermodal connections are being created every year. The goal of all these actions is to reduce transport costs and improve the whole process. The authors of this article set a goal of defining the role of optimization of transport costs using a consolidation service. Conducted analysis confirmed that consolidation services reduce the costs of transport of small cargos.

This article concerns the issue of reduction of CO2 emission in hybrid vehicles. External lighting through LED technology was applied to show additional CO2 savings in these vehicles. The authors propose for hybrid vehicles of M1 category: conditions of testing external lights, research equipment with measuring system and measuring method in order to determine energy savings obtained by application of external LED light. It enables to calculate saving of CO2 emission and estimate potential energy and ecological benefits. Computational formulas of CO2 emission savings and calculated fuel consumption and percentage reduction of CO2 proposed by the authors were used as a confirmation. Average worktime of lighting and three configurations of sources of lighting of hybrid vehicles were used in the analysis: halogen bulb/bulb, xenon/LED lamp and full electroluminescent external lighting.

Based on quantitative and qualitative analyses of the Triassic miospores assemblages from different regions of Poland climatic changes have been documented. Analyzed material came from the published and archival works of Orłowska-Zwolińska and author and comprised ten palynological zones distinguished in the Triassic of Poland. Two different palynological methods were applied in this study – PPC model and SEG model – to obtain palaeoclimatic and palaeoenvironmetal data. Xerophytic elements (spores and pollen grains of xerophytic plants), reflecting mainly dry climate conditions, dominated in the palynomorph spectra of the Triassic deposits from Poland. Significant numbers of hygrophytic elements indicating temporary more humid phases occurred in the late Olenekian, Ladinian, the middle Carnian, late Norian and the Rhaetian.

Ensuring safety of railway traffic is one of the most important goals of every state. All incidents connected with security that take place in the networks of railway lines result in taking actions aimed at elimination of similar situations in the future. The elements affecting security of the railway system include: technical condition of railway infrastructure and rolling stock, applicable law, people, that is, professional qualifications and proper performance of tasks by the workers. The authors formulated the following research problem: what are the strengths of railway security, and what should be improved? The methodology of qualitative analysis was applied. The survey research on the level of security and diagnostics of causes, needs and options of improvement of security in rail transport were conducted. Broad analysis and inference were conducted. The directions of improvement of security in supervisory, technical, organizational and operational terms in railway transport were presented in this article.

The authors of this article presented technologies of spreading coatings over structural details of automated guided vehicles used in the handling terminals. Technological process of painting with the use of powder paints was presented, as well as innovative methods of surface preparation with the use of BONDERITE M‐NT 2011 technology and OXILAN 9807 preparation. Modern methods of surface preparation with production of silane conversion coatings were presented and analysed. The authors of this article selected a system of guaranteed power supply of the processing lines. ABCUS software was applied to check the time of battery backup of UPS units in selected N+1 system.

The paper give a biostratigraphic interpretation of the Emsian to Eifelian in the Łysogóry and Kielce regions of the Holy Cross Mountains, based on the different groups of microfossils: miospores, conodonts, ostracods and foraminifers. Four miospore zones were identified in the uppermost Pragian, Emsian and lowermost Eifelian: Verrucosisporites polygonalis-Dibolisporites wetteldorfensis (PW), Emphanisporites annulatus-Brochotriletes bellatulus (AB), Emphanisporites foveolatus-Verruciretusispora dubia (FD) and Acinosporites apiculatus-Grandispora protea (AP). In the Łysogóry region, the Emsian and lowermost Eifelian comprises four cono-dont zones: serotinus,patulus,partitus and costatus, three ostracod assemblages and several foraminifer assemblages. In the Kielce region, deposits from the Emsian/Eifelian boundary interval yield conodonts from the patulus and partitus zones, two ostracod assemblages and assemblages of agglutinated foraminifers. The joint biostratigraphic analysis allows a tentative correlation of the lithostratigraphic units from both areas. It also provides independent control/calibration on the different biostratigraphical systems. The Pragian/Emsian boundary is located in the lower part of the Barcza Formation and in the lower part of the Haliszka Formation, whereas the Emsian/Eifelian boundary lies in the upper part of the Grzegorzowice Formation and in the upper part of the Winna Formation.

The results of the palynostratigraphical studies presented in this paper come from five boreholes Patoka 1, Czarny Las, Woźniki Śląskie K1, Kobylarz 1 and Poręba as well as from four outcrops at Lipie Śląskie, Patoka, Zawiercie and Poręba, in Upper Silesia (southern Poland). The palynostratigraphical zonation presented by Orłowska-Zwolińska (1983) for the epicontinental Upper Triassic of Poland was applied. The palynomorph spectra are marked by different preservation states, combined with the frequent occurrence of reworked specimens, probably even from Palaeozoic strata. The spore-pollen assemblage recognized in the “Chrzanów Formation” belongs to the early Carnian verrucata Subzone of the palynological longdonensis Zone. The spectrum from the Stuttgart Formation represents the Carnian astigmosus Zone. Spectra in the Patoka Marly Mudstone-Sandstone Member (Grabowa Mudstone-Carbonate Formation), with the Lisowice bone-bearing horizon, represent the middle and late Norian meyeriana b Subzone. The Rhaetian age of the bone-bearing succession in the Lisowice–Lipie Śląskie clay-pit suggested in the literature was not confirmed. The age of assemblages from the “Połomia Formation”, which overlies the Patoka Member, was not determined, owing to the poor state of miospore preservation. Moreover, three types of palynofacies were recognized as being characteristic for a fluvial channel (1), a flood plain (2), and lacustrine and playa environments (3) as well as for an undetermined milieu. Type 1 was found in the deposits of the Stuttgart Formation, the Patoka Member and the “Połomia Formation”, type 2 in the Patoka Member and the “Połomia Formation”, type 3 in the “Chrzanów Formation”, the Stuttgart Formation and the Patoka Member.
