The article „Cyberspace in the military system of state security” presents the basic concepts related to security, which is nowadays considered to be a state of certainty, peace, security and lack of threat and protection against danger, and cyberspace, which is understood as a virtual environment of information and interaction between people. This article also shows the definitions of terms relating to the values most valued and protected by man, i.e. state security, which is an integral part of the state policy related to the creation and use of national defense potential to prevent and counteract various types of threats. The importance of important units of the Polish Armed Forces as the basic organ of shaping cyberspace in the military area has been shown. The role and place of bodies in the Polish Armed Forces ready to respond to threats to ICT systems and networks connected by cyberspace has been defined.

Treść artykułu wskazuje na istotny obszar kształcenia, dotyczy bowiem cyberprzestrzeni i dydaktyki cyfrowej w edukacji na rzecz bezpieczeństwa człowieka. Mimo dynamicznego rozwoju systemów zabezpieczeń informatycznych liczba przestępstw popełnianych w cyberprzestrzeni stale rośnie. Negatywne skutki bycia w cyberprzestrzeni powodują zagrożenia życia psychicznego, społecznego i zdrowotnego. Właściwie realizowana dydaktyka cyfrowa ma wpływ na bezpieczeństwo człowieka i jest realizowana głównie w środowisku szkół i uczelni, a więc tam, gdzie funkcjonuje proces dydaktyczny pomiędzy nauczycielem a uczniem. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie znaczenia cyberprzestrzeni i dydaktyki cyfrowej w kontekście kształtowania bezpieczeństwa człowieka. Autor artykułu scharakterystyzował cyberprzestrzeń w edukacji na rzecz bezpieczeństwa człowieka, wykorzystanie dydaktyki cyfrowej, a także przedstawił wnioski poprawiające bezpieczeństwo cyfrowe człowieka.

Because of the ubiquity and usefulness of the internet it is sometimes deemed that not only the internet is a potent technological force, but that it is sacred. Views of some proponents of this view are critically analyzed. Paper concludes that for a believer, the source of all that exists is God and in this sense the internet is God’s gift or at least the result of human ingenuity which comes from God. The internet by itself is morally and religiously neutral and it is up to the moral dimension whether it is used for good or for ill.
Internet przeniknął niemal wszystkie aspekty życia społecznego i czasami nadaje mu się znamię świętości. Artykuł krytycznie analizuje poglądy niektórych autorów mówiących o uświęcaniu cyberprzestrzeni. Konkluzją artykułu jest stwierdzenie, że dla wierzącego źródłem wszystkiego, co istnieje, jest Bóg – i w tym sensie internet jest darem boskim, a przynajmniej rezultatem ludzkiej inteligencji, która również pochodzi od Boga. Internet sam w sobie jest religijnie i moralnie neutralny – to moralny wymiar człowieka dyktuje, czy będzie użyty do dobrych czy złych celów.

The study indicates actions taken to ensure the safety of minor network users. Prophylactic activity and methods of reacting in the case of identification of perpetrators of prohibited acts are described. It was assumed that in the area of cybersecurity, avoiding threats concerns the educational space, hence information, education and social campaigns play an important role in contemporary social functioning. The study presents the formal and legal framework for the protection of cyberspace users, the functioning of which is determined, among others, by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Penal Code, the International Convention on Cybercrime, the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction, Internet Management Forum, Safer Internet Centers, Scientific and Academic Computer Network. (NASK), Empowering Children Foundation and others. Examples of assumptions of selected social programs building a safe environment for the exchange of information on the Internet are presented.

In the literature on the subject and international legal acts, there is no universal and common definition of cyberspace. Due to the above lack, countries are moving towards regional cooperation in cybersecurity. This descriptive-analytical research was conducted to illustrate cybersecurity threats (faced by countries and private individuals), the list of which, as a result of digital transformation, is constantly growing. The analysis results presented that a wide range of potential cyber-attacks may affect objects of a tangible and intangible character. This research suggests that in cyberspace, which is essentially intangible, non-physical targets (values) can also be an object of a cyber-attack.

In the age of the information society, determined by the evolution of digital technology, information has become an essential element of the functioning of every human being. Its acquisition, processing and distribution serves to satisfy the key areas of society's life and constitutes a necessary component of every decision-making process. These days became dominated by the increasing demand for information. The problem of its protection against unwanted obtaining (disclosure) has become a challenge for many scientific communities. This state of affairs has forced us to take a number of steps to ensure the security of useful information, characterized by accuracy, unambiguity, completeness and authenticity. The problem of information security is inseparably linked to the threats present in the cyberspace environment. They are commonly identified with the so-called computer crime, resulting in factors like: infiltration, obtaining passwords and other data used for logging in, identity theft, damage (blocking) of systems and their software. Information manipulation is a completely different and underestimated threat to rational decision-making process. Wherefore, useful information that is characterized by the expected properties, is exposed not only to destruction or unauthorized acquisition, but also to distortion. Rising anxiety about the credibility of the information received in the virtual space and the sources of its transmission forced the need to distinguish the real form from the one that was modified. The presented conditions prompted the author to propose solutions with regard to information security, determined by the difficulty of obtaining it and manipulating it.

The article analyzes the concept of hacking, taking into account its evolution from a neutral term that means going beyond specific schemes of action to a negative context in which the concept is often equated with a cyber-security breach or cyber- crime. A study of the understanding of the concept of space and cyberspace, as well as selected cyber threats, shows the impact of the development of modern technologies on the blurring of the boundaries between real and virtual space. Based on selected cases in the field of cybercrime, the specific features of actions in cyberspace and their effects in the real world are indicated. New methods of cybercriminals open up new areas of criminological research on the geography of crime. The paper points out the involvement of State-Actors in cyber attacks, which makes it challenging to eliminate safe harbors for cyber criminals and reduces the effectiveness of instruments of international cooperation in criminal cases.

W artykule podjęta jest problematyka przestępczości w cyberprzestrzeni, regulowanej za pośrednictwem przepisów krajowych oraz prawa międzynarodowego. W dobie społeczeństwa informacyjnego, gdzie internet posiada niezwykle duże znaczenie, a jego użytkowników ciągle przybywa, dochodzi do szeregu naruszeń prawa, które często stanowią przestępstwa. Przestępstwa w cyberprzestrzeni, rozumianej jako przestrzeń komunikacyjna tworzona przez system powiązań internetowych, stają się coraz groźniejsze i bywają coraz trudniejsze do wykrycia i ścigania. Regulacje krajowe, jak też i międzynarodowe nie zawsze nadążają za dynamicznym postępem techniki, rozwojem sieci oraz wyzwaniami, które niesie ona za sobą. Nadal pojawiają się nowe czyny zabronione, popełniane w cyberprzestrzeni, w większym lub mniejszym stopniu sprzeczne z obowiązującym prawem, obnażające jednocześnie niedoskonałość przyjętych regulacji.

The scientific considerations outlined in this article address the threat to the cyber security quality system arising from unclear security standards implemented by China. Over the past few years, the Chinese government has imposed almost 300 new national cyber security standards. These norms cover a variety of information and communication technology (ICT) services as well as products, including software, routers, switches and firewalls. This standardization increases the threat to the cybersecurity quality system, and the more the US places pressure on the western world for Chinese companies investing outside China and on western firms trading in China, the more difficult the situation becomes. The aim of this assessment is to identify these threats, which are also difficulties encountered by Western companies trying to develop their operations in China in order to minimize them. The study was compiled as an analysis of Chinese cybersecurity standardization policy documents and their confrontation with the practice of foreign businesses and as an analysis of international reports and standardization documents on cybersecurity. The theoretical investigative methods used in this paper are: synthesis, analysis, abstraction and generalization.

There is currently a gap in our academic and practical understanding of the concept of resilience in cyber space at the level of the state, hampering research and policy- making due to the lack of a rigorously constructed, shared terminology. This article contributes to this area by providing a comprehensive capacities-based conceptualisation of state-level cyber resilience. After establishing that cyber resilience is necessary and that it should be developed at the state level, we perform a rigorous exploration of the concept of resilience as it pertains to the different areas involved in state-level cyber resilience. Seeking the most salient characteristics of each one, we identify from the general concept of resilience that it is a non-static process requiring an availability of assets; from state resilience, we identify that resilience capacities are harboured at multiple levels and across actors within the polity; and from cyber resilience, we identify that there is a plethora of different potential damages. Taking all this into consideration, our resulting concept of state-level cyber resilience is the following: the ability of a state, which (a) is made up of multiple layers, to (b) harness a set of key assets in order to (c) confront a particular type of damage to its cyber space, by (d) going through the stages of coping and eventually recovering to its normal state. Having constructed this conceptual framework, this work aids researchers and decision-makers by providing a common terminology and fostering a systematic, multidimensional approach to states’ capacity for resilience in cyber-space.

The Internet makes social and political life more dynamic by increasing the access to information, facilitating political discussion, development of social networking and offering alternative and convenient areas of political involvement. This work focuses on analyzing the political structure of the Internet. An emphasis is put on understanding the theoretical connection between technology and politics. It is also an attempt at answering the question, is World Wide Web the answer to the needs of socio-political potential? How can the Internet have a negative influence on political life? So, in order to understand contemporary events, one needs to understand the specificity of cyberspace, which consists both of continuation and new quality of identity and values for the users.
Internet dynamizuje życie społeczne i polityczne poprzez zwiększenie dostępu do informacji, ułatwia dyskusje polityczne, rozwój sieci społecznościowych oraz oferuje alternatywne i dogodne miejsca do zaangażowania politycznego. Praca skupia się na analizie struktury politycznej Internetu. Położony zostaje akcent na zrozumienie teoretycznych relacji między technologią i polityką. To także próba odpowiedzi na pytanie o to, czy Internet odpowiada na zaistniałe potrzeby społeczno-polityczne, oraz o to, czy istnienie Internetu może mieć negatywny wpływ na życie polityczne. Aby zrozumieć współczesne wydarzenia, należy zrozumieć specyfikę cyberprzestrzeni, która stanowi z jednej strony kontynuację rzeczywistości, a z drugiej daje nową tożsamość uczestnikom życia społecznego.

The article attempts to capture basic elements related to threats to social security incyberspace. Attention was paid to various categories of intersecting themes covering health risks. The subject of health security in information technology is a difficult research area because the speed and deepening penetration through virtual reality causes overlapping of various elements. Cyberspace and cyber security are challenge for authors dealing with this issue as well as for practitioners from various fields facing the challenge of predicting and preventing potentially dangerous phenomena.
W artykule podjęta została próba uchwycenia podstawowych elementów związanych z zagrożeniami zdrowotnymi dla bezpieczeństwa społecznego. Zwrócono uwagę na różne kategorie krzyżujących się tematów obejmujących zagrożenia natury zdrowotnej związane z zagrożeniami o charakterze psychicznym, fizycznym i moralnym. Tematyka ta jest trudnym badawczo obszarem, ponieważ szybkość i pogłębiająca się penetracja przez rzeczywistość wirtualną powoduje nakładanie się różnych elementów na siebie. Zagrożenia bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego związane z rozwojem TIK to wyzwanie dla autorów zajmujących się tą problematyką, jak również praktyków różnych dziedzin, przed którymi stoi wyzwanie przewidzenia i prewencji potencjalnie niebezpiecznych zjawisk.

The aim of the article is to identificate and analyse the most important risks associated with human functioning in the network as a member of the information society. The main research problem is the question of what dangers threaten a human functioning in cyberspace? An analysis of the material gathered through its examination, clarification and categorisation enables to solve the research problem. This provides the basis for formulating the thesis that the functioning of the information society in cyberspace includes many positive qualities, nevertheless, one should not forget about the dangers in the form of inundation of information, mental dependence, or criminal activity. The most important, however, is conscious and reasonable exertion of the Internet by users.
Celem artykułu jest przeprowadzenie analizy dotyczącej identyfikacji najważniejszych zagrożeń związanych z funkcjonowaniem człowieka w sieci jako członka społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Głównym problemem badawczym jest zatem pytanie, jakie niebezpieczeństwa zagrażają człowiekowi funkcjonującemu w cyberprzestrzeni? Rozwiązanie problemu badawczego umożliwiła analiza zgromadzonego materiału poprzez jego zbadanie, objaśnienie i kategoryzację. Stanowiło to podstawę do sformułowania tezy, że funkcjonowanie społeczeństwa informacyjnego w cyberprzestrzeni zawiera dużo pozytywnych cech, niemniej nie należy zapominać o zagrożeniach w postaci: zalewu informacji, uzależnienia psychicznego, działalności przestępczej. Najważniejszym jest jednak świadome i rozsądne korzystanie z Internetu przez użytkowników
