- At the beginning of the 21st century Old Believers use old primers which were published and used at the beginning of the previous century. The paper presents the primers used in the past as well as currently by members of the Old Believers’ community in Mazury. No new editions of primers have been found either in private collections or in the former monastery in Wojnowo. This is caused by the fact that the community consists of elderly people and no publications have been issued. Old Believers’ publishing houses publish reprints of traditional primers which appeared at the beginning of the 20th century. The only primer which includes innovative elements was published in 1934 and reprinted in many copies in 1993 and 1995 in Riga.
