The mini-research deals with the nature, structure and functions of managers’ intercultural professional interaction competence as a form of social interaction. Managers are the leading element in the social interaction "businesses - society", on the one hand, they bear the burden of social responsibility, on the other, they have to sacrifice their individual values to meet the requirements of their companies and company’s owners and make professional decisions that conflict their personal ones. It may lead to “moral schizophrenia‟ [1, p. 25], because managers lack knowledge of social problems, skills of a decision-maker, and experience in this field. The analysis of the scientific research in this field has shown that the term “intercultural competence” is mostly conceptualized as an individual’s capacity to interact with people who represent different cultures. But the term “intercultural professional interaction competence” has not been defined yet. The nature, structure and functions of the phenomenon have been identified on the multidisciplinary approach base as the following: it is a joint productive activity based on agent-agent relations; it is a form of social responsibility; the nature of intercultural professional interaction is communication that has the multilevel structure; each level of the structure has its aim, function, means of interaction that influence the communicating strategy of conversational partners and, therefore, the outcome of intercultural professional interaction. The article highlights pedagogical conditions of training managers intercultural professional interaction as one of managers’ professional competence, such as: 1) creation of intercultural professional communicative learning environment; 2) facilitating communication; 3) students’ self-managed and autonomous learning. The principles specific for training will-be managers the professional intercultural interaction are the principle of the rationality in the relationships and the harmonization of the relationships.

В статье рассматривается понятие и содержание иноязычной коммуникативной компетентности студентов ВУЗов неязыковых специальностей. Целью обучения иностранному языку в высших учебных заведениях является овладение иностранным языком как средством коммуникации, так и приобретения профессионально направленной иноязычной компетентности для успешного выполнения дальнейшей профессиональной деятельности. Обучение иностранному языку будущих специалистов должно рассматриваться как цель дальнейшей профессиональной деятельности. Одной из важных задач обучения профессиональному иностранному языку является формирование специализированной компетенции в сферах профессионального и ситуативного общения, овладения новой профессиональной информацией через иностранные источники.
The article discusses the concept and content of foreign language communicative competence of students of non-language specialties universities. The purpose of foreign language teaching in higher education is to master a foreign language as a medium of communication and the acquisition of a professional orientation of foreign language competence for successful implementation of future professional activities. Learning a foreign language of future specialists should be considered through the prism of their future professional activities. An important task of learning a foreign language in professional direction is the formation of a specialized expertise in the areas of professional and situational communication, mastering the new professional information through foreign sources.
W artykule omówiono koncepcję i treści komunikacyjnej kompetencji języka obcego studentów specjalności nie-lingwistycznych. Celem nauczania języków obcych w szkolnictwie wyższym jest opanowanie języka obcego umożliwiającą komunikację na średnim poziomie i nabycie orientacji zawodowej znajomości języków obcych dla pomyślnej realizacji przyszłych działań zawodowych. Nauka języka obcego przyszłych specjalistów powinna być traktowana przez pryzmat przyszłej działalności zawodowej. Ważnym zadaniem nauki języka obcego w kierunku zawodowym jest utworzenie specjalistycznej wiedzy w dziedzinie komunikacji zawodowej i sytuacyjnej, opanowanie nowych informacji zawodowych ze źródeł zagranicznych.

Aim. One of the most important tasks which precedes the setting of goals for teaching a foreign language of a specialty and the selection of methods for achieving them is to identify the competencies that a qualified specialist must master. Therefore, the authors of this article see the need to set the following research tasks: the identification of professional competencies in the professional discourse of international affairs; the allocation of competencies among those that require the knowledge of a foreign language; and determination of the language material necessary for studying the specialty in the language lessons for international affairs. Methods. The empirical methods of our research comprise studying and analysis of the works of Russian and foreign scientists and teachers working in the related fields; and interviewing specialists in the international sphere who have graduated from the faculties and institutes of international relations, international law, world politics and economics in the form of an anonymous questionnaire. Theoretical methods include analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalisation, deduction, and induction. Results. A study based on the analysis of a survey completed by international specialists showed that a large number of professionals in the field of international relations, international law, politics, and economics use legal terminology in their work more often than others. Among the professional skills that are required in their work, the respondents named negotiation, business dialogue, and correspondence. Conclusion. A recent study has shown that disciplines such as international law must be included in the language training program for international specialists as diplomates and lawyers.

The article deals with personal qualities and abilities of teacher-philologist, particularly with the ones necessary for successful professional activity in both higher and general secondary educational institutions. Purpose: Based on the analysis of scientific literature concerning the significant professional characteristics of a philologist, as well as the pedagogical context of his activity, the aim of the article is to find out features of emotional substructure within the structure of pedagogical abilities, individual factors of the implementation of the communicative approach in the study of foreign languages. Besides, to consider conditions of effective specialist’s self-realization, as well as focus attention on the psychological qualities of the teacher of literature, which determine the high level of interpretive consciousness formation; on competencies which are important from the point of view of professional activity psychology. Methods: During the research, methods of developmental teaching, methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, connection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, test and other methods were used. Conclusions: The professional orientation of an individual determines success of self-realization, motivates fruitful activity, orientates to the new goals that arise in the process of this activity, and raises satisfaction from work on the specialty to a high level. The professional personality of teacher-philologist contains a complex of moral-volitional, emotional, intellectual, creative, aesthetic, socio-cultural, communicative qualities; communicative information, cognitive and emotional skills. The effectiveness of the study of psychological features of the professional development in a teacher-philologist directly depends on the analysis of factors common to teachers of higher education, as well as specific, purely professional ones.

The way the communicative method functions in a professionally oriented approach to teaching Ukrainian foreign students of medical specialties has been little studied, and that determines the relevance of this topic. It has been found that there is a controversy in scientific thought concerning the role of both communicative and grammar components of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language. Moreover, modern textbooks do not provide sufficient exercises to develop professional communication. The purpose of this study is to investigate the application of the communicative method in a professionally oriented approach to teaching Ukrainian (as a foreign language), and to develop appropriate exercises and tasks. The conclusion is that in the process of learning to communicate in a foreign language, it is important for students to present and master grammatical material. Samples of tasks and exercises aimed at developing the communicative and grammar competence of foreign medical students in professional communication are presented.
Funkcjonowanie metody komunikacyjnej w zawodowym podejściu do nauczania języka ukraińskiego studentów zagranicznych kierunków medycznych jest mało zbadane, co uwarunkowuje aktualność tego tematu. Stwierdzono, że badacze różnią się w swojej opinii na temat roli komponentu komunikacyjnego i gramatycznego w nauczaniu języka ukraińskiego jako języka obcego. Ponadto współczesne podręczniki nie mają wystarczającej liczby ćwiczeń, aby rozwinąć komunikację zawodową. Celem pracy jest poznanie zastosowania metody komunikatywnej w profesjonalnym podejściu do nauczania języka ukraińskiego (jako języka obcego), opracowanie odpowiednich ćwiczeń i zadań. Stwierdzono, że w procesie uczenia się komunikacji w języku obcym istotne jest przedstawienie i opanowanie materiału gramatycznego przez studentów. Przedstawiono przykłady zadań i ćwiczeń mających na celu rozwój kompetencji komunikacyjnych i gramatycznych studentów-medyków zagranicznych w zakresie komunikacji zawodowej.

Though the system of maritime education and training in Ukraine has already been formed there is still the lack of graduates’ ability to perform specific duties especially the difficulties in the use of Maritime English during shipboard practice and professional activity. It stresses out the need to develop the system of professional training to provide the growth of quality and effectiveness of higher maritime education and to guarantee the development of communicative competency of future seafarers. The current study investigates the growing need of professionally-oriented communicative competency formation and development while teaching cadets/students of higher maritime institutions is based on the requirements stipulated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to the level of English language level proficiency and the recognition of the English language as the working language of multicultural shipboard environment. The research shows that the professionally-oriented communicative competency of seafarers must be regarded as a complex phenomenon which must be studied from the point of view of a systematic approach as a single integral system that encompasses a specific amount of components. The study demonstrated the structure of the professionally-oriented communicative competency of seafarers and analyzed the core structural components of the professionally-oriented communicative competency of seafarers.
Choć system kształcenia i szkolenia morskiego na Ukrainie został już ukształtowany, nadal brakuje absolwentów zdolności do wykonywania określonych obowiązków, zwłaszcza są trudności w posługiwaniu się językiem morskim w trakcie praktyki i pracy zawodowej na statku. Autoray podkreśla potrzebę rozwoju systemu szkolenia zawodowego, aby zapewnić wzrost jakości i efektywności szkolnictwa wyższego morskiego oraz zagwarantować rozwój kompetencji komunikacyjnych przyszłych marynarzy. Obecne badanie bada rosnącą potrzebę profesjonalnego kształtowania i rozwoju kompetencji komunikacyjnych podczas nauczania podchorążych / studentów wyższych uczelni morskich w oparciu o wymagania określone przez Międzynarodową Organizację Morską (IMO) do poziomu znajomości języka angielskiego i uznania języka angielskiego jako języka roboczego wielokulturowego środowiska okrętowego. Z badań wynika, że kompetencje komunikacyjne marynarzy zorientowane zawodowo należy traktować jako zjawisko złożone, które należy badać z punktu widzenia podejścia systemowego jako jednego integralnego systemu obejmującego określoną liczbę elementów. W badaniu przedstawiono strukturę kompetencji komunikacyjnych zorientowanych zawodowo marynarzy oraz przeanalizowano podstawowe elementy strukturalne kompetencji komunikacyjnych marynarzy zorientowanych zawodowo.

The article deals with the main forms and methods of communicative skills development used in the process of professional self-improvement during non-auditing activities at higher educational institution. In the process of person’s professional self-improvement, they play an important role in education obtaining and further work activity. By studying the process of professional self-improvement of modern students at higher educational institutions, the issue of communicative skills development in out-of-audit activity is of great importance. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to study the process of communicative skills development in students involved into non-auditing activities at higher educational institution. Methods. In the process of research, the following methods have been used, which allowed analyzing the purpose of this article and to reach certain conclusions for further research: general scientific methods, by means of which the available literature has been analyzed, the analysis, systematization of the material have been carried out; such methods as conversation, observation, interviewing have allowed investigating the problem situation more deeply. Results. The development of communicative skills of students in non-auditing activities is an important factor that should be given more attention to in the process of professional self-improvement during non-auditing activities at a higher educational institution. The article presents the experience of non-auditing activities of higher pedagogical institutions, which promotes the development of communicative skills of students of higher pedagogical educational institutions. The development of communicative skills in students is an integral part of a holistic process of forming communicative competence. After all, the development of communicative sphere in a person who, on the basis of the specifics of his activity, constantly interacts and communicates with other people is almost the main aspect that ensures the effectiveness of its work.

The article analyzes the experimental study of professional qualities of future medical psychologists. Considering professional qualities as multi-vector personality characteristics that include: personality orientation (goals, motives, interests, needs); ability to perform their duties (intellectual, emotional, organizational, communicative), professional competencies (socio-personal, general scientific, instrumental, general-professional, specialized-professional) and professional competencies formed on their basis (political, sociopolitical, informational, moral and ethical, cultural); skills that show the ability of the individual to make independent decisions and appropriate actions in unpredictable new situations, and based on this was determined by a set of criteria (valuesemantic, communicative, psychological, professional), which allow, in our opinion, to determine the level of professional qualities future medical psychologists. The main attention was paid to the following issues: awareness of the peculiarities of the professional activity of future medical psychologists; diagnosing professionally important qualities. In the process of conducting experimental research using psychological techniques, the main focus was on communicative and organizational skills. In addition, it is determined that an integral feature of the personality of a medical psychologist is not only reflection but also creativity, which is manifested in the student’s ability to non-standard thinking and behavior, as well as awareness and development of professional and life experience. It also defines such a quality as the responsibility of future medical psychologists for professional activities. Comparative characteristics of the results of the study of future medical psychologists of NMU named after OO Bogomolets and Bukovynian State Medical University are presented in the form of a table. In addition, among the personal and professional qualities, professional competence was identified as an important condition for the success of the professional activity of a medical psychologist and an indicator of his capabilities, integrating knowledge, experience, personal qualities that ensure social responsibility for the results of decisions. After analyzing the above results, we conclude that the development of personal and professional qualities of future medical psychologists and their professional competence is important for their professional development. In addition, the main for professional development is the acceptance of future medical psychologists responsibility for their own development for further professional activities. It is determined that the development of professional qualities in future medical psychologists is possible with the right organization of training, but the main thing is the awareness of future professionals of the peculiarities of their future profession, which will ensure the formation of professional competence.
У статті проаналізовано експериментальне дослідження професійних якостей у майбутніх медичних психологів. Розглянуто професійні якості, як багатовекторні характеристики особистості що включають в себе: спрямованість особистості (цілі, мотиви, інтереси, потреби); здібності до виконання своїх обов’язків (інтелектуальні, емоційні, організаційні, комунікативні), професійні компетенції (соціально-особистісні, загальнонаукові, інструментальні, загально-професійні, спеціалізовано-професійні) та сформовані на їх основі професійні компетентності (політичні, соціально-політичні, інформаційні, морально-етичні, культурологічні); уміння, що показують здатність особистості приймати самостійні рішення і відповідні дії в непередбачуваних нових ситуаціях, і на основі цього було визначено сукупність критеріїв (ціннісно-смисловий, комунікативний, психологічний, професійний), які дають змогу, визначити рівень сформованості професійних якостей у майбутніх медичних психологів. Основна увага приділялась таким питанням: усвідомленню особливостей професійної діяльності майбутніми медичними психологами; діагностуванню професійно-важливих якостей. У процесі проведення експериментального дослідження за допомогою психологічних методик основну увагу було спрямовано на комунікативні та організаційні здібності. Крім того, визначено, що невід’ємною рисою особистості медичного психолога є не лише рефлексія, а й креативність, що проявляється у здатності студента до нестандартного мислення та поведінки, а також до усвідомлення та розвитку професійного і життєвого досвіду. Також визначено таку якість, як відповідальність майбутніх медичних психологів щодо професійної діяльності. Порівняльна характеристика результатів дослідження майбутніх медичних психологів НМУ імені О.О. Богомольця та Буковинського державного медичного університету представлено у вигляді таблиці. Окрім того серед особистісно-професійних якостей було визначено професійну компетентність, як важливу умову успіху професійної діяльності медичного психолога та показник його можливостей, інтегруючи знання, досвід, особистісні якості, що забезпечують соціальну відповідальність за результати прийнятих рішень. Проаналізувавши викладені вище представлені результати, зроблено висновок: розвиненість особистісно-професійних якостей майбутніх медичних психологів та їх професійна компетентність важлива для їх професійного становлення. Крім того, основним для професійного становлення є прийняття майбутніми медичними психологами відповідальності за власний розвиток для подальшої професійної діяльності. Визначено, що розвиток професійних якостей у майбутніх медичних психологів можливо за допомогою правильній організації навчального, але головним при цьому є усвідомлення майбутніми фахівцями особливостей власної майбутньої професії, що забезпечить формуванню професійної компетентності.

Postgraduate education in Ukraine is a specialized improvement of education and professional training of a person through deepening, expansion and renovation his professional knowledge, skills and abilities or getting another specialty based on previously acquired educational qualification and practical experience. Postgraduate education is carried out by higher educational establishment or by structural subdivisions of higher educational establishment with appropriate accreditation level in the form of training programs or internship. This article devoted to the formal expansion of skills within the resulting profile or retraining. Formation and polishing of the person’s individual style of business communication occurs throughout adult life. Language communicative competence is complex education system, which requires constant improvement. Speaking more than one language involves the formation of a foreign language communicative competence. This problem requires a review of government and universities policy on planning and forming of language communicative competence among students of advanced training courses.

The academic paper is devoted to the use of interactive methods in the process of studying the humanities to form the professional and communicative competence of future specialists in construction and civil engineering. Currently, the issue of active applying the case method, business games in the classrooms in higher educational institutions is rather relevant. This is since the modern educational process is aimed at the formation of basic competencies as follows: professional and communication ones, skills, and abilities of intellectual activity, the development of the ability to process a large amount of information. Another argument in favour of the using interactive methods arises from the requirements towards the professionalism of any specialist in construction and civil engineering, who should master the optimal behaviour in various professional and everyday situations emerging in real life. In this paper, we have tried to prove that in the process of using interactive methods, the degreeseeking student becomes an active subject of the educational process under the direct supervision of a teacher, which has a positive effect on the formation of numerous competencies – professional and communicative ones. In the process of a business game or work on a case, the mastering of new terminology, acquaintance with new vocabulary, the use of speech cliches occurs. The correct use of grammatical forms and syntactic structures is of particular importance during the oral presentation of the decision. Professional knowledge and confidence in the ability to solve problems is an incentive towards forming professional and communicative competence in Ukrainian language classes for professional direction. Therefore, it can be stated that in the context of this scientific research, the expediency of using interactive methods has been justified to form the professional and communicative competencies of future specialists in construction and civil engineering during studying at higher educational institutions.
Artykuł poświęcony jest wykorzystaniu metod interaktywnych w procesie studiowania nauk humanistycznych w celu kształtowania kompetencji zawodowych i komunikacyjnych przyszłych specjalistów budownictwa i inżynierii lądowej. Problem aktywnego wykorzystania metody przypadku, gier biznesowych na zajęciach w szkolnictwie wyższym jest dziś aktualny. Wynika to z faktu, że współczesny proces edukacyjny ma na celu kształtowanie podstawowych kompetencji, wśród których znaczące miejsce zajmują umiejętności zawodowe i komunikatywne, umiejętności i zdolności aktywności intelektualnej, rozwój umiejętności przetwarzania dużej ilości informacji. Kolejny argument przemawiający za wykorzystaniem metod interaktywnych wynika z wymagań zawodowych każdego specjalisty z zakresu budownictwa i inżynierii lądowej, który musi opanować optymalne zachowanie w różnych sytuacjach zawodowych i codziennych, które pojawiają się w życiu codziennym. W niniejszym artykule staraliśmy się udowodnić, że w procesie stosowania metod interaktywnych student pod bezpośrednim kierownictwem nauczyciela staje się aktywnym podmiotem procesu edukacyjnego, co pozytywnie wpływa na kształtowanie wielu kompetencji, w tym zawodowych i komunikacyjnych. W trakcie gry biznesowej czy pracy nad sprawą dochodzi do opanowania nowej terminologii, znajomości nowego słownictwa, posługiwania się frazesami mowy. W trakcie ustnej prezentacji decyzji ważne jest właściwe użycie form gramatycznych i konstrukcji składniowych. Profesjonalna wiedza i wiara w umiejętność rozwiązywania problemów jest bodźcem do kształtowania kompetencji zawodowych i komunikacyjnych na zajęciach języka ukraińskiego w profesjonalnym kierunku. Można zatem powiedzieć, że w kontekście niniejszych badań celowość wykorzystania metod interaktywnych do kształtowania kompetencji zawodowych i komunikacyjnych przyszłych specjalistów budownictwa i inżynierii lądowej podczas studiów na studiach wyższych była uzasadniona
