W artykule przedstawiono problematykę wdrożenia systemu zarządzania opartego na filozofii procesowej na praktycznym przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa chemicznego. W tym celu dokonano ogólnego przeglądu najistotniejszych koncepcji zarządzania procesowego w naukach o organizacji i zarządzaniu, a także prześledzono ewolucję podejścia procesowego od reengineeringu (Business Process Reengineering, skr. BPR) do zarządzania procesami biznesowymi (Business Process Management, skr. BPM). Opisano ponadto modele organizacji procesowej stosowane w praktyce.
The aim of the article is to present issues of implementation of management system based on the process management philosophy on a practical case study of a chemical company. For this purpose, there was made a general review of main concepts of process management in the organization and management sciences and described the evolution of process theories from Business Process Reengineering (BPR) to Business Process Management (BPM). In the article there are also described concepts of process organizations implemented in practice.

Problemem przedstawionym w opracowaniu jest zagadnienie zmiany w kierunku centralnej realizacji zadań i funkcji w przedsiębiorstwie świadczącym usługi budowy, konfiguracji oraz utrzymania sieci telekomunikacyjnej. Celem pracy jest ocena wpływu centralizacji na wybrane mierniki podstawowych procesów organizacji usługowej. W konsekwencji na podstawie analizy zebranych wyników już na początku zmiany możliwa będzie techniczna reorganizacja procesów. Oceny wpływu centralizacji na kluczowe obszary działalności organizacji dokonano przez analizę porównawczą podstawowych mierników dla okresów przed i po tej zmianie. Do dogłębnego poznania działania oraz wykonania procesów wykorzystano studium przypadku.
The problem presented in the study is the aspect of moving towards centralization of the functions and tasks of a company providing implementing, configuration and maintenance services of a telecom network. The aim of the study is the evaluation of the impact of centralization on selected factors of basic processes in a service company. Based on the analysis of the results of this evaluation, there will be possibility of reengineering processes within the company at the very beginning of implementing the changes. The evaluation of the impact of centralization on key business areas of the company is done by comparative analysis of the basic indicators before and after implementing the changes. For the in depth cognition and modelling of the processes a case study is adopted.

The publication presents issues of process identification, as one of the main stages of process management implementation in industrial companies. Therefore, conditions and methods of process identification have been characterized, with particular attention to problems necessary to overcome in practice. Presented literature studies are supplemented by a characteristics of case studies in two chemical companies and one energy sector company.

The article presents results of research concerning identification of organization schemes and management processes that make a small construction company function efficiently and hold against other entities in local markets. It was estimated to what extent the classic principles for organization and management are realized in a small construction company. Basic for that evaluation were the Toyota management principles and the HR organization principles as gathered and quoted by Rowiński. The research was conducted with the guided interview method, supplemented by CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview) survey. Based on the information gathered the characteristics of organization and management of small construction companies active in the business of finishing works were described. The most important elements presented were the owner-employee relations, scope of activities performed personally by the owner, quality assurance methods for works, scope of cooperation with other entities, mode of customer acquisition and ways in which new technologies are adopted. It was found that there is large coincidence between organizational and management principles applied in researched companies, and the rules for the Toyota manufacturing processes, slightly lower coincidence was found in case of analysis of the rules quoted by Rowiński. The research has shown the large universality of the rules found in literature – these are largely accomplished, even without owners and employees having the knowledge about their exact reading.

This article describes the authors’ methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of business process management systems (Business Process Management Systems). The current methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of IT systems implementation is too general and ineffective to the specificity of BPM implementations. Literature analysis and research conducted by the authors indicate that the area related to the assessment of the effectiveness of BPM information systems is very complex but at the same time very attractive from a practical and applied point of view. The authors explain the organizational implications of BPM implementation and they point out what gives you the transition from a functionally oriented organization to a process approach. In terms of time, the scope of work covers the key achievements and publications from the BPM systems of the last 20 years. In spatial terms work includes evaluating BPMS implementations in the insurance and energy sectors. Case studies and practical information on implemented business process management systems are presented in the material to prove it’s value.
W niniejszym artykule opisano autorską metodę oceniającą efektywność wdrożenia systemów zarządzania procesami biznesowymi (Business Process Management Systems) przedsiębiorstwa. Obecna metodyka, oceniająca efektywność wdrożeń systemów informatycznych, jest zbyt ogólna i nieefektywna w stosunku do specyfiki wdrożeń systemów BPM. Analiza literatury i przeprowadzone przez autorów badania wskazują, że obszar związany z oceną efektywności systemów informatycznych BPM jest bardzo złożony, ale zarazem bardzo atrakcyjny z praktycznego i aplikacyjnego punktu widzenia. Autorzy opracowania wyjaśniają implikacje organizacyjne związane z wdrożeniem systemu BPM oraz wskazują, co daje przejście z organizacji zorientowanej funkcjonalnie na podejście procesowe. W ujęciu czasowym zakres pracy obejmuje najważniejsze osiągnięcia oraz publikacje z obszaru systemów BPM z ostatnich 20 lat. W ujęciu przestrzennym praca obejmuje ewaluację wdrożeń BPMS w sektorze ubezpieczeniowym i energetycznym. Przedstawiono też studia przypadku oraz praktyczne informacje o zaimplementowanych systemach zarządzania procesami biznesowymi.

Zmiany środowiskowe wymuszają w przedsiębiorstwach ciągłe modernizacje, zarówno technologiczne, organizacyjne, jak i produktowe. Kładziony jest nacisk na eliminację marnotrawstwa jako przejaw zarządzania świadomego i zrównoważonego. Dąży się więc do eliminacji nadmiernych kosztów, czasu i wysiłku pracowników. Jedną z metod weryfikacji i analizy procesów jest metoda obserwacji migawkowej. Pozwala ona zbadać strukturę czasu pracy pracowników lub urządzeń, a na podstawie wyników analizy zaproponować rekomendacje dla przedsiębiorstwa. Dzięki wykorzystaniu metody obserwacji migawkowej, możliwe było określenie struktury czasu pracy operatorów linii sortującej, a następnie przedstawienie propozycji usprawnień procesu.
Environmental changes force enterprises to constantly modernize, both technological, organizational and product-oriented. The emphasis is put on the elimination of waste as a manifestation of conscious and sustainable management. It strives to eliminate excessive costs, time and effort of employees. One of the methods of verification and analysis of processes is work sampling. It allows you to examine the structure of working time of employees or devices, and based on the results of the analysis, suggest recommendations for the company. Thanks to the use of work sampling, it was possible to determine the structure of the working time of the sorting line operators, and then to present the suggestions for process improvements.

A large number of diverse models illustrating the complexity of the communication process are used in the communication studies. Those models form the foundation of studies undertaken by scholars and hypotheses employed by them. Current theoretical findings cannot, however, keep up with the change that has happened in the communication process due to digitalization of the media. The author of this article attempts to fill the existing gap by proposing his own model (CTO model, Content-, Technik- und Organisations-Modell), which takes into consideration the frequently omitted area of media production and puts an emphasis on the causal relation between its elements, such as the content, technology, and organization of the media. The main value of the proposed model lies in the fact that its application makes it possible to analyze, with the use of scientific methods, also such phenomena as convergence and internationalization of the media

Informatization of education is one of directions of the process of modern society informatization. Informatization of education means – the process of research and provision of educational sphere with methodology and practice of development and optimal usage of modern or, as they are called, new information technologies, focused on implementation of psychological and pedagogical training purposes. Distant training began a very actual theme of these studies from the end of the twentieth century and it spreading. According to the general tendencies of university education development in the countries of the world, the introduction of distant technologies and pedagogical experiment concerning transformation of traditional correspondence and even daytime study into the distant form for a long time takes place also at the Private Higher Educational Establishment “Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities”. In order to do distant education to be as effective as possible, we need to organize properly with the help of systems of organizational, technical, programmed and methodological measures. It will be the main subject of this article. The aim of the study. To substantiate expediency of introduction of distant training technologies in to educational process of higher educational institutions both on full-time education and on correspondence form of studying. Methods. Observation of educational process organization using distant technologies at International University of Economics and Humanities, teaching of subjects using distant technologies for students of correspondence and full-time forms of education, analysis of the results of educational process organization using distant technologies at the faculties of university. Conclusion. The possibilities of distance learning technologies are quite high. However, the replacement of traditional remote technologies is still to be treated with caution. It is a question of the fact that any person has the right at own discretion to choose educational technology or their combination. But there is a conviction that remote technology will enhance the quality of training and the level of expertise of specialists.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest wstępny szkic teorii organizacji środowiska zbudowanego, będącej odpowiedzią na dynamikę procesów urbanizacji w XXI wieku. Podstawowe założenia tej teorii to: 1) temporalność i zmienność elementów habitatu, 2) nieredukowalność środowiska do jego części, 3) powiązanie różnych skal organizacji, 4) równoważenie czynników indywidualnych i kolektywnych, ciągłości i nowości, oraz uwarunkowania i wolności twórczej, 4) udział człowieka jako integralna część opisu systemu. W pracy skorzystano z wcześniejszych koncepcji strukturalistycznych, zwłaszcza teorii J. Habrakena, a także z założeń filozofii procesu A.N. Whiteheada. Rezultatem badań jest zarys procesualnego modelu organizacji środowiska, oparty o autorski zestaw pojęć technicznych, m.in. pole, zdarzenie, potencjał zdarzeń, transformacja, kontrola, wzorzec relacyjny. Elementy modelu tworzą hierarchiczny system, łączący zróżnicowane zagadnienia architektoniczne i urbanistyczne. W konkluzji przedstawiono uwagi na temat roli architekta w procesie organizacji habitatu, wynikające z przyjętych założeń teoretycznych.
The subject of the paper is a preliminary sketch of the theory of organization of the built environment, as an answer to the dynamics of urbanisation processes in the twenty-first century. The basic assumptions of this theory are: 1) the temporality and variability of habitat elements, 2) the irreducibility of the environment to its part, 3) the linking of different organisation scales, 4) balancing individual and collective factors, continuity and novelty, as well as conditioning and creative freedom; 5) human participation as an integral part of system description. The work uses earlier structuralist concepts, especially theories by J. Habraken, and also the assumptions of process philosophy by A.N. Whitehead. The result of the study is an outline of a processual model of environmental organisation, based on a original set of technical concepts, including the field, the event, event potential, transformation, control and the relational pattern. The model offers a description of the habitat as a hierarchical system synthesising various elements of architectural and urban design. This results in a new perspective of the architect’s role in the organisation process of the habitat.

This article mainly aims at analysing determinants of possibilities of improving processes in an organization. The early sections of the study are devoted to a theoretical analysis of the determinants of the process management and its connection with the project management. Then the assumptions of the survey on the impact of the organizational structure and culture on the possibilities of applying business process management are presented. The verification of theoretical deliberations and survey assumptions is included in the last part of the article presenting the initial results of the obtained survey and the resulting conclusions.

The purpose of this article is to present a concept of the innovation process maturity that describes actions leading to the implementation of the business process orientation in innovation management, while taking into account efficiency improvement of innovation process. It was assumed that organization can be in different phase of implementation of business process orientation (BPO). That is why presented concept was based on the following foundations: usability, providing the possibility of widespread use in business practice and a high level of precision to clarify various determinants of the innovation process maturity. The proposed concept consists of four actions performed in continuous cycles. Those actions are a basis to distinguish the following maturity levels: lack of maturity, moderate, formed and full maturity of the innovation process. Each of the achieved levels of maturity of the innovation process is characterized by different productivity, which determines the efficiency of the innovation system of the organization.

It seems that the stated range of „opening” of organizational culture in the offi ces of the municipalities may be a factor supporting the making organizational changes.

For an enterprise, innovation is key to creating a competitive advantage and a superior customer value. Nowadays innovation markets are developed where firms collaborate among themselves and with partners during the accomplishment of innovation processes in the network. Development and application of innovations require highly competitive markets with their customers, a supportive innovative environment, flexible organizational structures as networks, and skilled human resources. Customers play an active role in innovative activity of companies and are capable of identifying novel ideas for development and application of them. The objective of this work is to explore the organizational, marketing and market conditions of innovative activity of companies. Questionnaire research on this subject was conducted in Lubelskie region in 2009. Summary results of these research are described in this work.

Przeprowadzone badania wskazują, że rodzice decydujący się na uczenie dzieci w domach rezygnują ze szkoły przede wszystkim ze względu na jej negatywną ocenę oraz własne doświadczenia, które sprawiają, że chcą chronić dzieci przed negatywnym wpływem szkoły. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowano analizy uzyskanych wyników badań dotyczących deklaracji rodziców na temat wymaganych kompetencji, kwalifikacji i wiedzy przydatnych w sytuacji podejmowania się uczenia dzieci w domu, a także organizacji przez respondentów procesu kształcenia w systemie edukacji domowej.
With growing frequency, school faces critical assessment and the need increases for possibilities of alternative education for children and youth. What seems to be compliant with this is more and more popular home education (home schooling) – in Poland there is no school duty but educational duty. The conducted research indicate that parents who undertake home education resign from school due to both the negative opinion about it and their own experience. These two factors make parents want to protect their children from negative influence of school. This article presents the analyses of the obtained research results concerning parental declarations on the required competences, qualifications and knowledge useful in home schooling, as well as the respondents’ organization of the educational process itself in the system of home education.

The article substantiates the role of improving the managerial competence of the education manager in ensuring the effectiveness of the organization of the educational process. The purpose of the article is to determine the role and importance of managerial competence of the education manager in ensuring the effectiveness of the organization of the educational process. In the process of research, the following methods were used: theoretical analysis – to determine the main conceptual approaches to the development of managerial competence and its role in the organization of the educational process; structuring – in order to identify and characterize the components of management activities; generalization – to formulate conclusions on the pedagogical conditions for the development of managerial competence of the education manager. The managerial competence in the structure of professional activity of the manager of education as possession by the expert of scientifically substantiated means of the decision of administrative problems is defined, the main component of which is the possession of cultural means of identifying and solving organizational and managerial problems. Systematized universal functions (development and management decision making [planning], organization of certain tasks, adjustments, accounting and control) and components of managerial activity (diagnostic, prognostic, projective, organizational, communicative, motivational, emotional-volitional, comparative-evaluative) have been outlined. The pedagogical conditions for the development of managerial competence of education managers are identified: the relationship between the content of improving the management training of education managers with the peculiarities of the implementation of regional educational policy; remote support of the educational process aimed at the development of managerial competence, in which purposeful indirect or partially indirect interaction between the education manager and staff is carried out regardless of their location; building individual educational direction of students, which is carried out on the basis of personality-oriented approach, as well as taking into account professional difficulties and professional needs. 
Celem artykułu jest określenie roli i znaczenia kompetencji zarządczych menedżera oświaty w skutecznej organizacji procesu edukacyjnego. W procesie badawczym zastosowano następujące metody badań naukowych: analizę teoretyczną w celu określenia głównych podejść koncepcyjnych do rozwoju kompetencji menedżerskich i jej roli w organizacji procesu edukacyjnego; strukturyzację w celu zidentyfikowania i scharakteryzowania składowych działań zarządczych; uogólnienie, czyli formułowanie wniosków dotyczących pedagogicznych uwarunkowań rozwoju kompetencji zarządczych menedżera oświaty. Usystematyzowano funkcje uniwersalne (rozwój i podejmowanie decyzji/planowanie, organizacja określonych zadań, korekty, księgowość i kontrola) oraz komponenty zarządzania (diagnostyczne, prognostyczne, projekcyjne, organizacyjne, komunikacyjno-motywacyjne, emocjonalno-wolicjonalne, porównawczo-ewaluacyjne). Zidentyfikowano pedagogiczne uwarunkowania rozwoju kompetencji zarządczych menedżerów oświaty: związek między treścią doskonalenia szkolenia menedżerskiego kierowników oświaty a specyfiką realizacji regionalnej polityki edukacyjnej; zdalne wspomaganie procesu edukacyjnego nastawionego na rozwój kompetencji zarządczych, w którym dokonywana jest celowa pośrednia lub częściowo pośrednia interakcja między menedżerem oświaty a kadrą niezależnie od ich lokalizacji; budowanie indywidualnych trajektorii edukacyjnych uczniów, które realizowane są w oparciu o podejście osobowościowe, a także uwzględniające trudności i potrzeby zawodowe.
