    In the study analysis of organizational forms of health care operators was conducted, including selected legal and economic conditions. Changes in the area of regulations of health care sector were provided, economic conditions of the process of transformations of health care organizations were also examined. It results from conducted studies that the transformation of the health care system should aspire parallel to improving efficiency through taken action in the micro- and macroeconomic, i.e. on the level of health care organization and their legal and economic environment. Leaving the form of SPZOZ, dominating today, for companies, is a huge challenge and can turn out for SPZOZ with both the chance and the threat.

    Computer operators are at risk to develop health disorders related to prolonged computer use. We assessed the occupational risk factors for computer-related health disorders and evaluated health conditions of 939 Serbian computer operators. Musculoskeletal (55.8%), ocular (27.3%) and mental disorders (7.1%) were reported most frequently. Risk factors for health disorders, in both male and female populations, were age; overtime work; negative working atmosphere; awkward posture at work; the presence of vibrations, noise, dust and chemical pollution in the workplace. Negative working atmosphere, body mass index > 30, total job tenure and duration of exposed employment were risk factors for developing health disorders only in males, while smoking was a risk factor only in the female population. Our study showed high prevalence of musculoskeletal and ocular disorders in Serbian computer operators. More effective preventive measures are necessary to improve computer operators’ health.

    In Europe, Poland is regarded as a country where health services are cheap and highly professional. Further development of this sector, however, requires building cooperation and networking among institutions interested in sending and hosting tourists. The main objective of this study is to analyze the activities of tour operators regarding the organization of health tourism in Poland, with particular emphasis on the interest in this type of opportunity among customers from selected European countries and on the possibilities of its wider promotion. The analysis of secondary sources points to the fact that the further development of health tourism in Poland on the Belgian, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Hungarian markets requires consistent implementation of coordination and promotion policies. It is necessary to build contacts and a network of partners (e.g. in Spain). Creating online platforms and using search engines in English or French, as the most reliable source of information and a database for foreign tourists, is essential (e.g. in Belgium and Hungary). Promotion based on facts and analysis ought to be addressed to two different target groups: individual customers (e.g. in Hungary) and payers making decisions about group trips (in Italy and Spain). Constant enhancement of the image of Poland as a European destination with an increasing number of motorways, unspoiled nature, and regional organic foods is also important (particularly among the Dutch and the Belgian). A lot of emphasis should be put on the offered forms of active recreation and on the promotion of modern facilities, a variety of treatments, high hotel standards, infrastructure, as well as, information and booking systems (e.g. in Belgium and the Netherlands).

    Polska postrzegana jest jako ważny ośrodek dla światowej turystyki zdrowotnej. Określa się ją nawet mianem kliniki Europy. Podtrzymanie tej opinii oraz dalszy rozwój wymaga jednak długofalowej strategii, w tym promocji i budowania współpracy między podmiotami wysyłającymi i przyjmującymi turystów. Celem pracy jest ocena działalności touroperatorów z wybranych krajów europejskich w zakresie organizacji turystyki zdrowotnej do Polski. Analizie poddano zainteresowania tego rodzaju ofertą odbiorców z Niemiec, Austrii, Wielkiej Brytanii, Francji, Rosji, Ukrainy i Czech oraz możliwości szerszej promocji polskiej oferty w w/w krajach. Badanie przeprowadzono na podstawie krytycznej analizy piśmiennictwa o charakterze naukowym i konsultingowym. Dalszy rozwój polskiej turystyki zdrowotnej na rynku europejskim wymaga wsparcia prywatnych i publicznych świadczeniodawców w nawiązaniu kontaktów z płatnikami, ubezpieczycielami i pośrednikami z poszczególnych krajów. Konieczne jest budowanie kontaktów i sieci partnerskich. Istotne jest tworzenie platform − jako najbardziej wiarygodnego źródła wymiany informacji i bazy danych dla zagranicznych pacjentów. Wielonarzędziowe kampanie promocyjne (podkreślające jakość, bezpieczeństwo, podmiotowe traktowanie turysty, specjalizację w niszowych produktach i przystępność cenową) należy kierować zarówno do klientów indywidualnych, jak i decydujących o wyjazdach grupowych.
    Poland is regarded as an important centre for world health tourism and is even sometimes called the clinic of Europe. Maintaining this opinion and further development, however, require a long-term strategy including promotion and cooperation building among entities sending and hosting tourists. The main objective of this work is to evaluate activities of tour operators from selected European countries in terms of organizing health tourism to Poland. The analysis concerns interest in this type of offer among customers from Germany, Austria, Great Britain, France, Russia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic and wider promotion possibilities of the Polish offer in those countries. The study is based on a critical analysis of scientific and consulting literature. Further development of Polish health tourism on the European market needs support from private and public service providers in making contacts with payers, insurance companies and brokers from individual countries. It is essential to build contacts and networks of partners. Creating online platforms as the most reliable source of information and a data base for foreign patients is crucial. Complex promotional campaigns (emphasising quality, safety, individual treatment of tourists, specialization in niche products and affordability) should be aimed at individual customers as well as group trip organizers.
