Opis:
In the first part of this paper we prove without using the transfer or characters the equivalence of some conditions, each of which would imply p-nilpotence of a finite group G. The implication of p-nilpotence also can be deduced without the transfer or characters if the group is p-constrained. For p-constrained groups we also prove an equivalent condition so that $O^{q'}(G)P$ should be p-nilpotent. We show an example that this result is not true for some non-p-constrained groups.
In the second part of the paper we prove a generalization of a theorem of Itô with the help of the knowledge of the irreducible characters of the minimal non-nilpotent groups.

Exceptional points in the moduli space Mg of compact Riemann surfaces of genus g are unique surface classes whose full group of conformal automorphisms acts with a triangular signature. We study symmetries of exceptional points in the cyclic p-gonal locus in Mg for which Aut(X)/(ρ is a dihedral group Dn.

Combining enterprises into purchasing groups unlocks the potential for cost savings and reductions by way of, among others, using the economies of scale. The consolidation of demand offers better trading terms and conditions than those negotiated by single companies. Experience suggests that the best cost savings can be brought by joint procurement of those commodities, which support the functioning of enterprises. The Authors look into the models of functioning of purchasing groups that they have modified. Group formation stages are also being investigated based on the case study.

The studies on the multicultural site in Zimne (near Włodzimierz Wołyński) have brought the discovery of, among others, ceramics from the Trypillian culture. Their importance in the context of broader research issues prompted the author to publish these artefacts. A detailed analysis of technological features, morphology and ornamentation has been presented in a broadly comparative context. The issues of belonging of these materials to the Gorodosk and Brynzeny groups, as well as their relationships with the Funnel Beaker culture have been discussed extensively. Moreover, extremely interesting arguments in this discussion have been also supplemented by C14 dates recently obtained for 12 samples from the site in Zimne.

The aim of the study was to present the organizational and legal conditions of the Eurocash Group, the market leader in wholesale distribution of FMCG products which also widely operates in retail sales, mainly in the partner and franchise system. The scope of the discussion covered the specificity of retail and wholesale trade and the organizational and legal structure. The paper presents individual sales formats included in the Eurocash Group, i.e. Cash & Carry stores, retail stores, the so-called area of active and specialized distribution. The functioning of modern trade refers to an innovative approach in terms of organizational and legal forms, including operating within capital groups and development through franchise. This allows the complementarity of individual store formats, guaranteeing retail and institutional customers a comprehensive realization of purchase orders.

In-group identification is necessary for in-group members to take responsibility for the past transgressions of the in-group. However, even among high identifiers, the reactions to reminders of the in-group’s transgression may differ depending on the beliefs members hold about their in-group. Results of a cross-sectional study (N = 441), indicate that collective narcissism (i.e., a belief that the in-group’s importance is not sufficiently recognized by others) versus in-group satisfaction (i.e., a belief that the in-group is of high value and a reason to be proud of) have opposite unique associations with the evaluation of the artistic value of films referring to Polish involvement in pogroms during the Second World War (Ida and The Aftermath, a proxy of an attitude towards knowledge about past national transgressions). Collective narcissism predicted lower, whereas in-group satisfaction predicted higher, perceived artistic value of the films. Those unique relationships could only be observed when the positive association between collective narcissism and in-group satisfaction was partialled out.

Opis:
In social psychology the group polarization refers to the tendency for groups to make decisions that are more extreme than the initial inclinations of its members. This phenomenon constitutes a potential obstacle to positive outcomes attributed to deliberative debates. A deliberative debate is a particular kind of a group discussion tasked with fi nding group consensus on controversial issues. The idea of deliberation originates from the writings of John Rawls, Jürgen Habermas, Amy Gutmann and Denis Thompson. Deliberative debate imposes numerous normative requirements on the communication, relationships among the disputants and their approach to the issue under discussion. These normative requirements make a big difference between deliberative debates and the situations in which the phenomenon of polarization was observed. Thus, we presume that in deliberative debates conditions the phenomenon of group polarization may be limited. The paper investigates the following questions: would the normative conditions of deliberation limit the occurrence of polarization in discussing groups? and What infl uence (if any) would the polarization process have on the quality of group decision? In the light of the empirical data we concluded what follows: (1) In 50% of the analyzed cases of group discussion the phenomenon of group polarization was observed despite the normative conditions of deliberation. (2) The occurrence of group polarization in some cases coincided with making the fi nal decisions which did not alter the initial preferences of the disputants (but did not totally predestinated the fi nal outcome).

As a consequence, the views on the status of the group did not always keep pace with the proper reflection of these changes. This article will present the positions and research assumptions under which Polish Tartars are an ethnographic group, ethnic group, or a nation.

Opis:
Objectives: One issue regarding prescription of physical activity (PA) is adherence, with enjoyment being shown to be a factor, and extroversion being associated with enjoyment. Furthermore, anecdotal evidence suggests that PA as part of a group yields superior levels of enjoyment than non-groups, however this has not been explored to date. It is the purpose of this study to explore associations between enjoyment and extroversion in group vs non-group PA. Methods: 17 subjects were recruited and randomised into two groups: ‘group’ and ‘non-group’. ‘Group’ subjects walked for 30-minutes for 5 consecutive days as part of a pair, and ‘non-group’ subjects doing the same intervention alone. All subjects completed two surveys, one pre-intervention measuring extroversion using the Goldberg Transparent Bi-Polar Inventory and wellness using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale. The post-intervention survey measured wellness and enjoyment of the intervention using the Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale. A pedometer was also worn. Findings: The multiple regression model statistically predicted enjoyment (F(7,7) = 15.168, p=<0.001,adj.R2=0.876), with only sub-group type and wellness levels adding significantly to the prediction (p=<0.05). Moreover, the ‘group’ sub-group took significantly more steps than the ‘non-group’ sub-group (18,395 vs 13,168; p=<0.001). Conclusions: Wellbeing and sub-group type were predictors of enjoyment. Furthermore, subjects who walked in pairs took more steps than subjects who walked alone. Practitioners should consider prescribing PA as part of a group to yield higher enjoyment levels and higher levels of activity. Due to the small sample size, further study is needed with more subjects.

Aim. At-risk individuals have many forms, often it is the two opposing sides of a personality which can ultimately implement risky behaviour only to accept an individual into a peer group. Concept. The risky behaviour of young people and children currently associated with a  consumer society aggravated by the pandemic situation Covid-19 is the subject of interest in professional as well as scientific research of various professionals who work in different areas of life. Methods. This study deals with the risks, social, but also individual consequences of at-risk youth, which occur at all levels of society. In the study, we proceeded in an analytical-synthetic way, interpreting and ascertaining the results of various other scientific and professional studies by foreign authors who deal with the given issue. Results. The study confirms that risky behaviour requires a constant approach to educating a young person through not only the family but also the school environment, which allows a new perspective on risky youth behaviour.  However, it is very important to integrate young people into society to see the risks of their behaviour not only for themselves. but for a narrower or wider community. Conclusion. The scientific articles and contributions offered in this study point out the risky behaviour of young people, the risks of behaviour not only for individuals but also for groups, it points out the possible causes, reasons, but also consequences of risky behaviour.
