This article presents an analysis of changes that have occurred in recent times in legislation relating to the safety and labelling of textile products in connection with the coming into force of harmonised Community regulations relating to products containing textile fibres intended for sale on the EU market, with a presentation of a range of issues which may be the subject of future Community legislation. The article discusses, mainly in terms of design, current safety requirements for textile products and also provides guidance for the design of new textile solutions in relation to the assessment of potential adverse effects on the human body.
Artykuł przedstawia analizę zmian jakie zaistniały w ostatnim czasie w uregulowaniach prawnych związanych z bezpieczeństwem i znakowaniem produktów tekstylnych w związku z wejściem w życie zharmonizowanych przepisów wspólnotowych odnoszących się do wyrobów zawierających włókna tekstylne, a przewidzianych do udostępnienia na rynku Unii Europejskiej. W pracy zaprezentowano zakres zagadnień, które mogą być przedmiotem przyszłych wspólnotowych przepisów. W artykule omówiono, w aspekcie głownie projektowym obecnie funkcjonujące wymagania związane z bezpieczeństwem wyrobów włókienniczych oraz wytyczne w zakresie projektowania nowych rozwiązań włókienniczych także w odniesieniu do oceny potencjalnych i niekorzystnych efektów oddziaływań na organizm człowieka

Od czasu do czasu spotyka się adaptacje domów, mieszkań, w których ściany działowe czasem i inne są zastępowane dowolnymi innymi rozwiązaniami. Nie bierze się przy tym pod uwagę, że zamiana ścian, stropów np. z masywnych na lekkie może znacząco pogorszyć klimat akustyczny pomieszczeń. W artykule zwrócono uwagę na problematykę dobierania ścian pod kątem zabezpieczenia właściwego, dopuszczalnego poziomu hałasów w pomieszczeniach. Zilustrowano to przykładem niewłaściwego podejścia do zamiany ścian działowych. O ważności problemu przekonują się projektanci i wykonawcy, którzy musieli odpowiadać za błędne rozwiązania w tym zakresie.
From time to time, there are adaptations of houses, apartments, in which partition walls are sometimes replaced with any other solutions. It does not take into account that the replacement of walls and ceilings, e.g. from massive ones to light ones, may significantly worsen the acoustic climate of rooms. The article focuses on the problem of selecting walls in terms of securing the appropriate, permissible noise level in rooms. This was illustrated by an example of the wrong approach to converting partition walls. Designers and contractors, who had to be responsible for incorrect solutions in this area, find out about the importance of the problem.

Opis:
The article presents the procedure of determination of a structural form of an agricultural machine which encompasses methodological aspects of design related to the division of the basic objective function into member functions, multi-variant solutions and synthesis of astructural form (a virtual prototype of an agricultural machine). The suggested course of proceeding was presented by the case of a design of a tunnel spraying machine. This example reflects well and includes the specificity of the design object in the form of an agricultural machine with specific technical and agro-technical requirements. Attention was paid to the aspects related to methodology of selection of fractional solutions based on previously defined criteria.
W artykule przedstawiono procedurę postępowania przy wyznaczaniu postaci konstrukcyjnej maszyny rolniczej, uwzględniającą aspekty metodyczne projektowania, związane z podziałem zasadniczej funkcji celu na funkcje składowe, wielowariantowe rozwiązania oraz syntezę postaci konstrukcyjnej (prototyp wirtualny maszyny rolniczej). Proponowany tok postępowania przedstawiony został na przykładzie projektu opryskiwacza tunelowego. Przykład ten dobrze odzwierciedla i uwzględnia specyfikę przedmiotu projektowania, jakim jest maszyna rolnicza o szczególnych wymaganiach technicznych i agrotechnicznych. Zwrócono uwagę na aspekty związane z metodyką wyboru rozwiązań cząstkowych w oparciu o wcześniej ustalone kryteria.

Opis:
The structural concept of the dome dates back to the Pantheon in Rome. It is used as the cover of many churches and mosques all around the world. Light solutions, with a well-visible dome-shaped truss skeleton, are often preferred in modern architecture. Base isolation techniques can be adopted to mitigate the seismic effects. This paper aims to investigate the efficiency of different designs for the truss skeleton. To solve the problem, one has to assign the constraints, the materials and the geometry of the dome, its supporting structure and the isolation devices (number, locations, and type). The screening of the effects of different scheme assumptions on structural behaviour provides a better insight into the problem.

Opis:
The application of RFID technology in the safety elements of machinery control systems according to the essential requirements of directive 2006/42/EC requires to comply respectively the properties of this technology in the development process. It is important to comply the recommendations and restrictions of RFID technology application and the characteristic parameters of safety devices using this technology. The requirements in the area of functional safety management should be specified together with the safety function specification, the specification of requirements for design and integration of the suitable control system elements. Then the development process should be performed. At the end of this process the information for use should be elaborated and the validation should be performed to confirm the compliance with the requirements.
Zastosowanie techniki RFID w związanych z bezpieczeństwem elementach systemów sterowania maszyn, zgodnie z wymaganiami zasadniczymi dyrektywy 2006/42/WE, wymaga odpowiedniego uwzględnienia właściwości tej techniki w procesie projektowania. Istotne jest uwzględnienie zaleceń i ograniczeń dotyczących stosowania techniki RFID i parametrów charakterystycznych urządzeń bezpieczeństwa stosujących tę technikę. Należy określić wymagania w obszarze zarządzania bezpieczeństwem funkcjonalnym, opracować specyfikację funkcji bezpieczeństwa, sformułować wymagania dotyczące projektowania i integracji odpowiednich elementów systemu sterowania, a następnie zrealizować proces projektowania. W końcu należy sporządzić informację dla użytkownika oraz przeprowadzić walidację całości projektu w celu potwierdzenia spełnienia wymagań.

The paper presents the general principles of requirements engineering with particular attention for the requirements specification presented on the example of an ambitious national program for the fleet expansion of the Polish Navy. The introduction outlines the origins of requirements engineering and its strong relationships with software engineering. It appears that most large IT projects usually struggle to meet the precisely formulated criteria of requirements engineering, which results in the tremendous waste of project resources. Next the concept of requirements and good practices in the preparation of requirements specifications is formulated. Later the example of the 15-year history of the Polish Gawron-class corvette, Project 621, is used to illustrate how systematic violations of the cardinal principles of requirements engineering and disregard for regulations can lead to major losses and consequently to suspending the whole project. An emergency solution was planned to conduct the thorough modification of the project so as to complete this very costly investment (about PLN 1 billion) and construct a much weaker patrol vessel – Ślązak, Project 621/M. The main research thesis can be limited to the statement that amateur and improvised requirements specification in the case of a large shipbuilding project, which was mainly based on socio-political needs, leads directly to the collapse of the project and significant material losses accompanied by the painful embarrassment of state bodies on an international scale.

W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję zapalnika z samolikwidatorem do przeciwpancernego pocisku rakietowego PG-76 granatnika RPG-76 "KOMAR". Głównym załoSeniem było, aby zapalnik spełniał wymagania Norm Obronnych NO-13-A233 "Systemy zapalnikowe. Zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa. Wymagania Konstrukcyjne", oraz NO-13-A234 "Systemy zapalnikowe. Zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa. Metody Konstrukcyjne". We wstępie omówiono granatnik oraz podano przyczynę wstrzymania jego eksploatacji. W dalszej części wymienione zostały podstawowe wymagania będące podstawą opracowania koncepcji zapalnika z samolikwidatorem, ze szczególnym naciskiem na zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa użytkowania. Omówione zostały zespoły zapalnika z samolikwidatorem z dokładnym opisem budowy i spełnianej funkcji oraz zasada działania.
The paper presents the conception of self-destruct fuze for anti-tank rocket grenade of RPG-76 "KOMAR" grenade launcher. The main assumption was that the fuze meets the requirements of national standard NO-13-A233 "Fuzing systems - Safety assurance - Design requirements" and NO-13-A234 "Fuzing systems - Safety assurance - Design methods". In the introduction was discussed a grenade launcher and was given the reason for the suspension of its exploitation. Finally, requirements for the concept of self-destruct fuze was formulated. Self-destruct fuze components, construction and operating principle were presented.

The paper presents a method of choosing the optimal value of the cargo ships deadweight. The method may be useful at the stage of establishing the main owners requirements concerning the ship design parameters as well as for choosing a proper ship for a given transportation task. The deadweight is determined on the basis of a selected economic measure of the transport effectiveness of ship – the Required Freight Rate (RFR). The mathematical model of the problem is of a deterministic character and the simplifying assumptions are justified for ships operating in the liner trade. The assumptions are so selected that solution of the problem is obtained in analytical closed form. The presented method can be useful for application in the pre-investment ships designing parameters simulation or transportation task studies.

The authors indicated what effect may cause the introduction of relevant and irrelevant changes without the consent of the designer. The consequences of action inconsistent with legal provisions and an example of such action were provided.

The article described structural reliability requirements included in national law and European technical standards. The influence of design changes on the reliability level of construction work was discussed. Any aspect related to the user's feelings when using or imagining the use of the product is referred to as User Experience (UX). The task of today's organizations is to model the user experience in such a way that when interacting with the product, the user feels only positive emotions. However, User Experience design also requires testing the created solutions, which often turns out to be a barrier for enterprises due to the high cost of research. The purpose of this article is to present the importance of user research methods in User Experience design. The article will present the subject of UX design as a direction of application development, research methods with users in UX design and the essence of research in User Experience modeling. In order to achieve the set goal, the article uses an analysis of literature and Internet sources. After the completed analyses, it can be concluded that research with users generates added value for User Experience design on the part of both users and employees.
Wszelkie aspekty związane z odczuciami użytkownika podczas korzystania lub wyobrażenia korzystania z produktu określa się mianem User Experience (UX). Zadaniem dzisiejszych organizacji jest zamodelowanie doświadczenia użytkownika w taki sposób, aby podczas interakcji z produktem odczuwał on jedynie pozytywne emocje. Jednakże projektowanie User Experience wymaga także przetestowania stworzonych rozwiązań, co często okazuje się barierą dla przedsiębiorstw. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie znaczenia badań z użytkownikami w projektowaniu User Experience. W artykule zaprezentowano tematykę projektowania UX jako kierunku rozwoju aplikacji, metod badawczych z użytkownikami w projektowaniu UX oraz istotę badań w modelowaniu doświadczenia użytkownika. Aby zrealizować postawiony cel, w opracowaniu wykorzystano analizę literatury i źródeł internetowych. Po przeprowadzonych analizach można stwierdzić, że badania z użytkownikami generują wartość dodaną dla projektowania User Experience ze strony zarówno użytkowników, jak i pracowników.

Metal-glass curtain walls are now an inherent element of urban landscape. Due to the variety of forms, unlimited color range, high thermal and acoustic insulation, functionality dedicated not only to separating the external and internal environment they inspire admiration and delight. Their appearance can give the impression that they are uncomplicated structures. The reality is reversed. Metal-glass curtain walls are assembled from a number of functionally diverse elements. Designing the façade to meet the requirements is a complicated process where designers, architects, constructors and systems manufacturers must be involved. Very important is the stage of installation a metal-glass curtain wall. Without experienced assemblers and appropriate equipment, it is not possible to perform it correctly. For this in practice there are numerous defects arising at the design stage and at the montage stage.

Przedstawiono specyfikę budowy i użytkowania kół czerpakowych koparek eksploatowanych w kopalniach odkrywkowych węgla brunatnego. Zaprezentowano rozwój konstrukcji kół czerpakowych. Pokazano sposoby mocowania kół czerpakowych na wale. Podano przykłady zastosowanych rozwiązań. Przedstawiono wytyczne do projektowania kół czerpakowych. Określono wymagania jakie powinny spełniać konstrukcje kół czerpakowych koparek eksploatowanych w utworach trudno urabialnych kopalń odkrywkowych węgla brunatnego.
The specifics of the construction and use of bucket wheels of excavators operating at lignite open pit mines are introduced. The development of bucket wheel construction is presented. The methods of fixing the bucket wheels on the shaft are shown. The examples of applied solutions are provided. Guidelines for designing bucket wheels are presented. The requirements that should be met by the construction of bucket wheels of excavators operating in hard mineable soils in lignite open pit mines are determined.
