The paper presents results of systematic tests of contraction and thermal expansion coefficients of materials based on polymer composites. The information on the above material properties is essential both at the design stage and during the use of finished products. Components for the samples were selected in such a way as to represent typical materials used for production of construction and moulding elements. The performed tests made it possible to monitor the analysed parameters at different stages of the technological process.

Opis:
Greedy algorithms are used in solving a diverse set of problems in small computation time. However, for solving problems using greedy approach, it must be proved that the greedy strategy applies. The greedy approach relies on selection of optimal choice at a local level reducing the problem to a single sub problem, which actually leads to a globally optimal solution. Finding a maximal set from the independent set of a matroid M(S, I) also uses greedy approach and justification is also provided in standard literature (e.g. Introduction to Algorithms by Cormen et .al.). However, the justification does not clearly explain the equivalence of using greedy algorithm and contraction of M by the selected element. This paper thus attempts to give a lucid explanation of the fact that the greedy algorithm is equivalent to reducing the Matroid into its contraction by selected element. This approach also provides motivation for research on the selection of the test used in algorithm which might lead to smaller computation time of the algorithm.

Given a family of (W) contractions $T_1, ..., T_N$ on a reflexive Banach space X we discuss unrestricted sequences $T_{r_n}∘...∘T_{r_1}(x)$. We show that they converge weakly to a common fixed point, which depends only on x and not on the order of the operators $T_{r_n}$ if and only if the weak operator closed semigroups generated by $T_1, ..., T_N$ are right amenable.

Regulation of muscle contraction is a very cooperative process. The presence of tropomyosin on the thin filament is both necessary and sufficient for cooperativity to occur. Data recently obtained with various tropomyosin isoforms and mutants help us to understand better the structural requirements in the thin filament for cooperative protein interactions. Forming an end-to-end overlap between neighboring tropomyosin molecules is not necessary for the cooperativity of the thin filament activation. When direct contacts between tropomyosin molecules are disrupted, the conformational changes in the filament are most probably transmitted cooperatively through actin subunits, although the exact nature of these changes is not known. The function of tropomyosin ends, alternatively expressed in various isoforms, is to confer specific actin affinity. Tropomyosin's affinity or actin is directly related to the size of the apparent cooperative unit defined as the number of actin subunits turned into the active state by binding of one myosin head. Inner sequences of tropomyosin, particularly actin-binding periods 3 to 5, play crucial role in myosin-induced activation of the thin filament. A plausible mechanism of tropomyosin function in this process is that inner tropomyosin regions are either specifically recognized by myosin or they define the right actin conformation required for tropomyosin movement from its blocking position.

Three alternative approaches to the valuation of a defaultable coupon bond in an extended Merton's model are given. Probabilistic approach yields a closed-form expression for the arbitrage price of this bond. A boundary value problem method is based on the concept of an CD-extended generator for Markov processes. The third approach relies on a recursive procedure method in which at every step a suitable Cauchy problem is solved.

The grinding process in the concentrator is a part of the largest energy consumption, but also the most likely to cause a waste of resources, so the optimization of the grinding process is a very important link.The traditional fuzzy controller relies solely on the expert knowledge summary to construct control rules, which can cause significant steady-state errors in the model. In order to solve the above problem, this paper proposes an elastic variable universe fuzzy control based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. The elastic universe fuzzy control model does not need precise fuzzy rules, but only needs to input the general trend of the rules, and the division of the universe is performed by the contraction-expansionfactor. The control performance is directly related to the contraction-expansionfactor, so this article also proposes using particle swarm optimization to optimize the scaling factor to achieve the optimal value. Finally, simulation models of traditional fuzzy control and elastic universe fuzzy control of feeding system of mill were built using Python to verify the control effect. Itssimulation results show that the time of the reaction of the fuzzy control system in the elastic variable theory universe based on particle swarm optimization was shorter by 34.48% comparing to the traditional one. Elastic variable universe fuzzy control based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) effectively improved the control accuracy of the mill feeding system and improved the response speed of the system to a certain extent.

Given A, B mem B(H), the algebra of operators on a Hilbert Spaces H, define deltaA,B : B(H) arr B(H) and DeltaA,B : B(H) arr B(H) by deltaA,B(X) = AX - XB and DeltaA,B(X) = AXB - X. In this note, our task is a twofold one. We show firstly that if A and B* are contractions with C.o completely non unitary parts such that X mem ker DeltaA,B, then X mem ker DeltaA*,B*. Secondly, it is shown that if A and B* are w-hyponormal operators such that X mem ker deltaA,B and Y mem ker deltaB,A, where X and Y are quasi-affinities, then A and B are unitarily equivalent normal operators. A w-hyponormal operator compactly quasi-similar to an isometry is unitary is also proved.

Opis:
A study of scour downstream of free hydraulic jump in stilling basin of stepped spillways was carried out. This paper employed an experimental study to investigate the stepped spillway with the movable bed material of D50= 3.1 mm. The effect of the contraction ratio of the stepped spillway was highlighted. Different downstream divergent angle was studied to minimise the scour depth, the results showed that the relative scour depth was reduced by 23% for divergent angle is equal to 170°, different shapes of buffer in stilling basin were also studied to reduce the scour depth where the considered buffer decrease the relative scour depth up to 84%. This study was simulated by Flow 3D program to analyse the scour hole formed using velocity vectors at the bed. The simulated results well agreed with the measured data.
