    The text reflects on photographic methods of documenting the city. The paper is parted into four sections: the first presents the issues surrounding documenting, the second discusses historical examples of urban documentary, the third analyses the modern tendency of construction and, finally, the last fourth section introduces examples of contemporary art practice. Written with regard to the concepts of François Soulages I will discuss, among others, the following projects: The Inventory (Inwentaryzacja) by Ireneusz Zjeżdżałka, A Sky over Warsaw by Juliusz Sokołowski and The Other City (Inne miasto) by Wojciech Wilczyk and Elżbieta Janicka. All examples focus on different aspects of documentation: they allow preserving in a viewer’s mind the lost past, create a contra-image of a city or reveal the unseen and forgotten fragments of history.

    The purpose of this article is to provide a wider range of environmental disciplines by highlighting a series of reflections, processes and artistic projects for a sensitive approach to our environment involving a combination of bodily experience and landscape awareness. Sensory Landscapes are based on practical research into progressive action designed to raise awareness and increase our understanding of the natural and human environment through the conception and results of artistic approaches to landscape using senses and experiences. As part of the process, a conductive thread weaves diverse geographies with the sensory experience of touching, smelling, observing, tasting and listening. Throughout this article, various ways of thinking and acting are explored, interweaving disciplines, media and places. At the same time, this article raises a series of questions that broaden the understanding of site-approximation and landscape concepts through a dialogue between artistic practice, critical thinking and environmental mindset. With this in mind, Sensory Landscapes is designed to be a conceptual framework for exploring various perceptions as a medium for approaching a given scenario, connecting tangible and intangible concepts to transform sensual concepts - smells, textures, tastes, sounds, scenes - into experiences.
    Mając na celu wyeksponowanie szerokiej perspektywy dyscyplin środowiskowych, artykuł opisuje serię refleksji, procesów i projektów artystycznych skoncentrowanych na wrażliwym podejściu do środowiska poprzez połączenie doświadczeń cielesnych i świadomości krajobrazu. Sensory Landscapes to autorska praktyka badawcza, której celem jest uwrażliwienie na środowisko naturalne i ludzkie oraz zrozumienie go poprzez konceptualizację i odkrycie artystycznego zbliżenia się do krajobrazu poprzez zmysły i doświadczenia. W trakcie tego procesu przewodząca nić splata różnorodne geografie ze zmysłowym doświadczeniem dotykania, wąchania, obserwowania, smakowania i słuchania. W artykule eksplorowane są różne sposoby myślenia i działania, przeplatające się dyscypliny, media i miejsca. Jednocześnie artykuł ma na celu postawienie serii pytań, które poszerzają rozumienie koncepcji aproksymacji miejsca i krajobrazu poprzez dialog między praktyką artystyczną, krytycznym myśleniem i nastawieniem na środowisko. Z tej perspektywy Sensory Landscapes to rama konceptualna umożliwiająca badanie percepcji jako medium poznawania kontekstu, łącząca materialne i niematerialne koncepcje, które identyfikują terytorium – zapachy, tekstury, smaki, dźwięki, sceny – jako doświadczenia.

    Radical structural transformations of the public realm in our post-civic urban condition progressively reduce relationality and negate the Right to the city. Fifty years after Debord’s Real Split, the ever-accelerating abstractive effects of the Society of the Spectacle impose a radical redress of the critical theory informing its interpretation. This paper discusses a film on the creative work of Daniela Grubisic, documenting daily detournement practices of public space subversion-by-sublation. An initial analysis of her sculptural work that deconstructs abstractive conditions of domination to reestablish instances of emancipatory relational resonance is followed by an exploration of her filmic work that reverses emplaced annihilating conditions. Finally, a critical evaluation of the combined capacity of these established rich relational intensities foregrounds its effectiveness in engaging multiple actants in formulating effective counter-hegemonic cultural practices.

    The major of fashion performance is an emerging discipline, and the mode of talent training is still undergoing the process of exploration and improvement. The fashion performance major aims to cultivate talents with diversified abilities and a sense of social responsibility in the field of fashion or arts. In order to achieve this objective, the research proposes integrating the teaching mode and educational philosophy of the Capstone Course into fashion performance classes. The research employed case studies to analyze, compare, and summarize related cases, synthesizing the mode of the Capstone Course, which is highly integrated in terms of “knowledge, ability, and practice.” Through deduction, induction, and feasibility analysis, it is demonstrated that the application of the Capstone Course to teaching fashion performance is both practicable and advantageous. The research results offer suggestions regarding the teaching model for fashion performance majors. It may have theoretical guiding significance for the follow-up of the capstone course in the fashion performance major.

    In the article, the role of the artistic style as one of the major componens of the Ukrainian linguo-culture has been stressed. The writers’ language-creative practice has been qualified as an important factor in the national literary language development and as a criterion of the literary norm formation. As for the latter, two major kinds of writers’ impact are noted – structural-expanding and cutting, aimed at improvement. In this context, the concept of norm arises as an actual parameter to determine the level of correlation of both literary language and language of fiction.

    Metamimesis, etymologically, is a combination of the Greek prefi x “meta” and mimeisthai, which was in use prior to the emergence of the Platonic tradition (Koller 1954). In the following work I argue that the methodological and technical aspect of classical category, mimesis, has been changing during the development of art and human thinking throughout the cultural history and philosophy.2 This work discusses hypotheses concerning functional and interdisciplinary, and potentiality of meaning of the category of metamimesis, especially: contemplative meaning (as the classical-philosophical) and – the original – performative meaning (according to A. Artaud: as a non-discursive and non-mendacious reality). The main part of the paper applies the category of metamimesis to interpret selected artistic practices, in particular the artistic performance of Iron Ship and Xavier le Roy’s Low pieces. Thus, it discloses the vast potentiality of the act of performance as a process involving contemplative and performative dimensions of human being – all participants of this process. The discussion concerns also the question about the limits of human thinking and ultimately the possible existence of a transcendental awareness. The article is an introduction to the study of potentiality of the category “metamimesis”.
    Termin metamimesis jest złożeniem greckiego prefi ksu „meta” oraz „mimeisthai”, używanego jeszcze przed Platonem (Koller 1954). W prezentowanym artykule twierdzę, że aspekty metodologiczny i techniczny klasycznej kategorii mimesis zmieniały się wraz z rozwojem sztuki i ludzkiej myśli. W artykule rozważam potencjalność znaczenia kategorii metamimesis, szczególnie w kontekście fi lozofi i klasycznej jako pojęcie kontemplacji, a także – źródłowo – w kontekście znaczeń performatywnych (według A. Artauda, jako niedyskursywne i niezakłamane praktyki). Główna część tekstu poświęcona jest zastosowaniu „metamimesis” do interpretacji praktyk artystycznych, na przykładzie performansów Iron Ship oraz Low pieces (stąd sugeruję także użyteczność tytułowego pojęcia dla umotywowania kształtu młodej dyscypliny „Performance Philosophy”). Finalnie wnioskuję, iż działanie performatywne jest procesem rozwijającym wymiary bycia, takie jak kontemplatywny i performatywny, wszystkich uczestników tego typu praktyk. „Metamimesis” jest też, jak się okaże, kategorią skupiającą (jak w soczewce) pytania dotyczące granic ludzkiego myślenia, a pociąga za sobą pytania o możliwość istnienia świadomości transcendentnej. Artykuł ma charakter wprowadzenia do badań nad potencjalnością tytułowej kategorii.

    У науковій розвідці презентовано огляд часопису "Studia Ucrainica Varsoviensia" за десять років його існування (2013–2022) з нагоди ювілею. Простежено зміст цього видання у фокусі проблематики українського та компаративного мовознавства, що було спроєктоване на одиниці всіх рівнів мовної системи, а також теорію і практику художнього перекладу. З’ясовано, що проблематика статей стосується таких порівняно нових лінгвістичних напрямів, як лінгвокультурологія та лінгвоконцептологія, психолінгвістика, теорія мовної особистості й лінгвоемоціологія, теолінгвістика й лінгвоаксіологія, політична й комунікативна лінгвістика, а також лінгвістика тексту, дискурслінгвістика, лінгвожанрологія, щоденникознавство й лінгвістична експертиза. Чимало статей виконані в руслі традиційного мовознавства, зокрема української діалектології, історії української мови та усіх розділів науки про сучасну українську мову (фонетика й фонологія, словотвір, лексикологія, зокрема й термінологія, та пареміологія, граматика, включаючи морфологію і синтаксис, а також стилістика). Особливий інтерес простежуємо до проблематики ономастики та новітньої української соціолінгвістики. Автори статей актуалізували основні методологійні принципи сучасного мовознавства: антропоцентризм, слово-, тексто- та дискурсоцентризм, міждисциплінарність, лінгвістичний когнітивізм, прагматизм, функціоналізм, структуралізм, а також постулати філософії мови: семантики, синтактики і прагматики.
    The paper presents a review of the 'Studia Ukrainica Varsoviensia' journal for its tenyear existence (2013–2022) on the occasion of the anniversary. The author analyzes the content of the journal focusing mainly upon the Ukrainian and comparative linguistics issues being projected on the units of all the language system levels, as well as the theory and practice of artistic translation. The paper finds that the issues of the journal articles are related to such modern linguistic trends as linguocultural studies and linguoconceptology, psycholinguistics, linguistic personality theory and linguoemotionology, theolinguistics and linguoaxiology, political and communicative linguistics, as well as text linguistics, discourse linguistics, linguistic genre studies, diary studies and linguistic expertise. Many research papers are written in the field of traditional linguistics, in particular Ukrainian dialectology, the Ukrainian language history and all the branches of the modern Ukrainian language study (phonetics and phonology, word formation, lexicology, including terminology and paremiology; grammar, including morphology and syntax; as well as stylistics). The researchers are particularly interested in the problems of onomastics and modern Ukrainian sociolinguistics. The authors of the research papers under consideration updated the main methodological principles of modern linguistics: anthropocentrism, word, text- and discourse-centrism, interdisciplinarity, linguistic cognitivism, pragmatism, functionalism, structuralism, as well as the language philosophy postulates: semantics, syntactics and pragmatics.

    Opis:
    K'o-ssu is one of the representative textile techniques of ancient China. It was used in the royal court, known to few people in folk life. However, it was not until the 1950s that the K'o-ssu technique was rediscovered. This paper focus on summarising K'o-ssu artistic characteristics through analysing K'o-ssu's materials, patterns and colours by interviewing experts and physical observation. Taking the NE·TIGER brand as an example, this article will discuss the fashion practice of traditional K'o-ssu art in modern life in order to provide modern designers a reference for promoting this traditional Chinese craft and culture by way of sustainable development.
    K'o-ssu to jedna z reprezentatywnych technik tekstylnych starożytnych Chin. Był używany na dworze królewskim, znanym nielicznym w życiu ludowym. Jednak dopiero w latach pięćdziesiątych XX wieku na nowo odkryto technikę K'o-ssu. W pracy skupiono się na podsumowaniu cech artystycznych K'o-ssu poprzez analizę materiałów, wzorów i kolorów K'o-ssu oraz wywiady z ekspertami i obserwacje fizyczne. Biorąc za przykład markę NE·TIGER, w artykule omówiono praktykę modową tradycyjnej sztuki K'o-ssu we współczesnym życiu, tak aby zapewnić współczesnym projektantom odniesienie do promowania tradycyjnego chińskiego rzemiosła i kultury poprzez zrównoważony rozwój.
