    This article discusses Europeanization processes (that means adjustment to advanced western models) of Bulgarian culture and literature in the age of modernism. For Bulgarian society the Europeanization processes as an all-encompassing and demanding project generate many problems. During the age of modernism the debate centered on the opposition between traditional and modern, native – European, homely – foreign: a stronger Western orientation marked by a strong emphasis in on the Bulgarian national and identity. In this time appear inferiority complexes and serious difficulty in identifying cultural affiliation.

    Opis:
    The article is aimed at analyzing some selected features of Polish political culture and the impact of Europeanization processes on the development of democracy. Polish political culture is not exclusively a product of recent years, thus it has not been developed since the introduction of democratic institutions after 1989. It is an outcome of the former historical experiences to a greater extent than it is commonly assumed. In the present article,the author is going to present mutual influence of local political culture (and administrative tradition) and Europeanization due to which the Polish membership in the European Union balance must be treated in a less enthusiastic way than it is commonly believed. He is especially going to present examples referring to three areas: 1) the development of a vision of strategic actions; 2) implementation difficulties within the European policy; 3) difficulties in undertaking network co-operation in the European Union. In those areas, the positive influence of Europeanization is blocked by cultural phenomena connected with the experience of a lack of a sovereign state and the treatment of a state as a common good of all the Poles. Moreover, Europeanization strengthened particular ideas and political organizations which contributed to the development of the Polish political arena.

    The focus of the paper is the selected, most significant theoretical aspects of negotiations conducted within the European Union. They include the following: the large number and diversity of negotiators; the specific subject of EU negotiations, making them multi-level and multi-dimensional; the multistage character of EU negotiations and, thus, the involvement of various actors at different levels, calling for different kinds of negotiating activities; and, last but not least, the top-down and bottom-up processes that are the determiners of negotiations in the EU.

    Opis:
    Nowadays, contemporary European states are undergoing dynamic transformations connected with the integration processes. Thus, national basic laws not only register to a wider extent, but also become open to integration processes, which is commonly called “Europeanization of constitutions”. Regional integration causes far-reaching constitutional consequences for the European states. It poses new challenges to the EU Member States in the process of adjusting their legal systems, including the contents of their basic laws, to the permanently changing political and legal reality. Objectives and functions performed by the contemporary European states, particularly their scope and ways of fulfilment, are also undergoing transformation. The key issue is also new understanding of the concept of sovereignty
    Współczesne państwa europejskie ulegają dynamicznym przemianom związanym z procesami integracyjnymi. Stąd narodowe ustawy zasadnicze w coraz szerszym zakresie nie tylko rejestrują, ale także otwierają się na procesy integracji europejskiej, co powszechnie określa się mianem „europeizacji konstytucji”. Integracja regionalna powoduje daleko idące konsekwencje ustrojowe dla państw europejskich. Przed państwami członkowskimi UE stawia nowe wyzwania w procesie dostosowywania ich porządków prawnych, w tym treści ich ustaw zasadniczych, do wciąż zmieniającej się rzeczywistości politycznej i prawnej. Przemianom podlegają również cele i funkcje realizowane przez współczesne państwa europejskie, a w szczególności ich zakres i sposób wykonywania. Kluczowym pozostaje także problem nowego pojmowania suwerenności.
