    Teaching is directed to integral human development. The moral sphere has a special place in the implementation of the educational process. Bringing up to values highlights above all the characteristics that constitute the person and thus: the body, freedom, truth and summarising dignity. Showing the value of the personal dignity of every human being, and in fact leading the student to place where they discover it, at the same time, we show that the man is a dynamic being. On one hand, metaphysically they "are" a person from the moment of their existence, and on the other hand – axiologically – they become a person in the way of deeds. Educational activity is an important factor (it is often the beginning) to discover this important mystery of a man – who the person is, what they are required to in moral terms. To help discover a person in a person – it is the responsibility and the task educators are qualified for.

    The family is the first and basic educational environment, there the basic standards and moral principles are passed, and also defined attitudes and habits to people and things are shaped, finally, here is the beginning of human interests. Family environment also plays an important role in shaping the relationship of a young man to a book.This article presents the value of a family in the development and strengthening of reading activity of children and the youth. Family plays here an important role, since from the earliest years of a child's life, it has a chance to create positive experiences resulting from a contact with the book. Such situations can arise in a family in which parents find reading enjoyable and pass it on spontaneously to their children.

    Wspólnota rodzinna stanowi podstawowe środowisko życia ludzkiego. To w rodzinie człowiek po raz pierwszy poznaje wartość pracy ludzkiej, doświadcza jej obserwując ludzi pracy czy wykonując różne czynności. Praca ludzka stanowi ważny składnik systemu aksjo-normatywnego społeczeństwa. Zaspokaja ona potrzeby konsumpcyjne człowieka, umożliwia realizację siebie w kontakcie ze światem zewnętrznym i z innymi ludźmi, pozwala też na podejmowanie zadań życiowych. Sprawia, że człowiek czuje się potrzebny, a jego życie ma sens. W niniejszym artykule została ukazana rola wspólnoty rodzinnej w przygotowaniu młodych pokoleń do właściwego rozumienia wartości pracy. Z jednej strony rodzina powinna ukazywać istotę pracy, jej sens, z drugiej zaś uczyć uczciwego i rzetelnego stosunku do niej, ale także uwrażliwiać na budowanie mądrych relacji międzyosobowych w środowisku pracy (bez niezdrowej rywalizacji, konkurencyjności, wyzysku) i wreszcie zobowiązana jest do uświadamiania, że „praca jest dla człowieka”, dlatego nie on ma jej służyć i w niej się zatracać, ale wykonywać ją w sposób wolny i rozumny, na miarę osoby ludzkiej.
    Family community is the basic environment of human life. It is in the family that a person learns the value of human work for the first time, experiences it by observing working people or performing various activities. Human work is an important component of the axionormative system of society. It satisfies the needs of human consumption, enables one to realise oneself in contact with the outside world and with other people, and also allows one to undertake life tasks. It makes a person feel that they are needed and that their life makes sense. The present article will show the role of family community in preparing young generations to properly understand the value of work. On the one hand, family should demonstrate the essence of work, its meaning, and on the other, it should teach an honest and reliable attitude towards it, but also sensitise young people to building wise interpersonal relationships in the work environment (without unhealthy rivalry, competitiveness, exploitation), and finally, it is obliged to raise awareness that “work is for man”; therefore, people are not to serve it and lose themselves in it, but to do it in a free and rational manner that befits a human person.

    The subject of reflections contained in this article is Rose Czacka – Mother Elizabeth. This is a figure that constantly inspires both people with good and bad sight. Educators, tyflologists, the blind and their families constantly use this legacy. At the age of 22 in her best time of life, Rose loses her sight, and this moment becomes a significant breakthrough in the life of a young Countess – she is not feeling sorry for her difficult situation she devotes herself completely to the work for the blind . In this article the biography of Rose Czacka was approximated, and then a brief characterization of the Lasek idea was presented. The analyses finished with an issue concentrating around Mother Elizabeth, who became the mother of the blind, constantly fighting for their dignity, freedom and independence.

    The author discusses the social and anthropological problem of material poverty from the ethical and pedagogical perspective. The article consists of three sections which respectively concentrate on the following topics: (a) poverty and globalization, (b) ways of helping the needy, and (c) poverty as a chance for personal development. The author concludes that poverty improperly approached by society can lead to a depersonalization of both the poor and those who live with them: the former are attached with tags or marginalized, and the latter miss the chance for personal development. In order to avoid depersonalization, then, poverty should be understood not only as a social problem, but also as a valuable lesson of humanity.

    Opis:
    Freedom is a gift, but also a task. It is a value that binds a man to make intelligent choices in truth and love, respecting the dignity of a person. If a man uses freedom in a wrong way, cultivating their own desires, it comes to enslavement, and finally to the mutilation of humanity, which is the consequence of bad decisions and tragic choices. The first part of this article contains some terms of freedom, and then a problem of positive and negative freedom was shown. The highlight of these analyses is the presentation of selected contemporary forms of enslavement of the young man such as addictions, media, materialism or consumerism.

    Poverty, if it is not properly viewed by the public, may lead to the depersonalization of both poor and living in the midst of those who need help. Poverty is experienced by children in a specific way. They often suffer from hunger, they are undernourished, and they have limited access to a variety of goods, including culture and education. This, in turn, is often reflected in their self-esteem, a sense of self-dignity. The role of the school in fighting the poverty of the students is shown in this article. The existing forms of aid to poor students are presented, as well as the challenges facing the school in terms of helping marginalized students. It is also crucial for the teachers themselves to be trained in such a way that would promote not only the intellectual development of the students, but most of all – the pro-social attitudes and that would emphasize the value and dignity of a person.

    Wychowanie integralne człowieka – czyli wielowymiarowe i pełne rozumienie procesu wychowania wskazuje na uwzględnienie wszystkich podstawowych sfer człowieczeństwa: cielesnej, płciowej, seksualnej, intelektualnej, emocjonalnej, moralnej, duchowej, religijnej, społecznej. Tak rozumiany proces wychowania człowieka jest optymalny i prowadzi do rozwoju osobowego człowieka. Aby mógł on przebiegać prawidłowo, konieczna jest afirmacja wartości godności osobowej, która stanowi punkt wyjścia w relacji wychowawca–wychowanek. Bardzo ważne jest także, by sam wychowawca był wzorem – prawdziwym mistrzem, który swoim przykładem pokieruje wychowanka w stronę pełnego rozwoju osobowego. Integralne wychowanie – wskazujące drogę do realizacji człowieczeństwa człowieka – powinno rozpoczynać się już od najmłodszych lat. Jeżeli człowiek we wczesnych latach swojego życia zrozumie wartość osoby ludzkiej oraz istotę integralnego jej rozwoju, wówczas pozna sens życia ludzkiego i zadanie wynikające z faktu „bycia” człowiekiem.
    Integral education of a man – that is multidimensional and complete understanding of the educational process indicates taking into account all basic spheres of humanity: physical, sexual, intellectual, emotional, moral, spiritual, religious, and social. Such understanding of the educational process is optimal and leads to personal development. To carry it out correctly, affirmation of the values of dignity is necessary, which is the starting point in the relationship educator–graduate. It is also very important that the educator is a role-model – a true master, who will lead the student towards full personal development. Integral education – indicating the way to the implementation of the humanity of a man – should start at an early age. If a person, in their early years of life, understands the value of a person and the essence of integral development, then they will know the meaning of human life and the task arising out of “being” a human.

    We współczesnej przestrzeni europejskiej edukacja jawi się jako ważny fundament, na którym budowany jest model społeczeństwa opartego na wiedzy. W swoim referacie przybliżę problem edukacji wielokulturowej i międzykulturowej stanowiącej swoiste wyzwanie w XXI wieku. W dzisiejszej rzeczywistości, w której mamy do czynienia z przemieszczaniem się ludzi różnych narodowości bardzo ważne jest kształtowanie odpowiednich postaw już od najmłodszych lat. Z jednej strony – postawy poszanowania tradycji i kultury własnego narodu, z drugiej zaś – postawy poszanowania dla innych kultur i tradycji. Szkoła winna podejmować odpowiednie kroki w celu zapobiegania wszelkiej dyskryminacji. Kształtowaniu postawy rozumienia odmienności kulturowych, służy m. in. edukacja międzykulturowa. Jej celem jest poszerzanie własnej tożsamości jednostkowej i społecznej przez kontakt z innymi kulturami oraz propagowanie postaw tolerancji i dialogu. Edukacja wielokulturowa natomiast zmierza do wypracowania szacunku dla różnorodności w środowisku lokalnym, narodowym i międzynarodowym. Wskazuje na kulturowe, etniczne, rasowe i językowe różnice. Omówiony zostanie także problem stereotypów i uprzedzeń oraz niebezpieczeństw wynikających z braku odpowiedniej edukacji wielokulturowej i międzykulturowej.
    At present, education seems to play a fundamental role in a European society, being perceived as a model of a community based on knowledge. Nevertheless, multicultural and intercultural education presents itsef as a challenge in a XXI century. Nowadays, when migration of various ethnic groups and nations is so ordinary, nurturing proper attitude about it, seems to be of great importance from the earliest stages of upbringing. It entails a respect of a tradition and culture of one’s own country as well as of other ethnic groups and nations. School as an institution of learning ought to ensure proper measures preventing discrimination. Intercultural education serves as a tool to nurture attitude of understanding and acceptance of a cultural differences. It also broadens perception of one’s own identity and a place in a society. Interactions with other nations can serve to promote an attitude of tolerance and dialogue. Multicultural education on the other hand, aims at creating the disposition of respect toward diversity in a local, national and international community. At the same time it presents cultural, ethnic, racial and linguistic differences. The work will include also the concept of stereotype and prejudice as well as dangers resulting from the absence of a proper multicultural and intercultural education.
