W poszukiwaniu bardziej wydajnych i ekologicznych metod otrzymywania nanocząstek metali, coraz częściej zwraca się uwagę na możliwość zastosowania różnych czynników fizycznych, wspomagających procesy syntezy. Celem niniejszej pracy badawczej była próba otrzymania monodyspersyjnych i stabilnych w czasie nanocząstek metalicznych na przykładzie nanosrebra i nanozłota. Zastosowano metodę redukcji chemicznej wspomaganej promieniowaniem mikrofalowym. Czynnikami różnicującymi były warunki prowadzenia reakcji oraz wpływ wybranych parametrów na uzyskane nanomateriały. Kluczowym punktem badań była analiza spektrofotometryczna i analiza rozkładu wielkości nanocząstek oraz określenie ich stabilności w czasie. W większości przypadków otrzymano pożądany produkt, który jednak w zależności od warunków prowadzenia procesu, charakteryzował się różną wielkością i stabilnością nanocząstek.
Searching more efficient and eco-friendly methods of metal nanoparticles synthesis, great attention is increasingly drawn by a possibility of usage some physical factors, which would be able to support the nanometals synthesis processes. The aim of the paper was to try to obtain monodisperse and stable during storage metallic nanoparticles (gold and silver). The method of chemical reduction with the use microwave radiation was conducted. Differentiating factors including the reaction conditions and the impact of selected parameters on the obtained nanomaterials were tested. The key point of the research were the spectrophotometric analysis and determination of size distribution of nanoparticles and their stability over time. In most cases, the desired product was obtained, but depending on the process conditions the nanoproducts were varied in size and stability.

Introduction. Some literature data indicate that the proper intake of exogenic antioxidants from food and the proper intake of fats can offer significant protection against coronary heart disease. Objectives. The estimation of total antioxidant capacity of food intake on the basis of Dietary Antioxidant Index (DAI), together with an assessment of the contribution of particular food products in DAI, and the evaluation of consumption of all dietary fats and frequency of consumption of products that are a source of fats among elderly people in Krakow, Poland. Materials and method. 143 persons (73 women and 70 men) aged 65–80 were studied. None of them was under specialist medical control, including cardiological control. DAI was investigated on the basis of the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) which included 145 food items. DAI was measured using the method by Benzi and expressed as FRAP (the ability to reduce Fe3+ to Fe2+, measured in mMol/l). The daily intake of fats was estimated using the 24-h nutritional recall. The frequency of fats consumption was estimated with the usage of FFQ. For statistical analysis, χ2 test was used. Results The mean value of DAI of all studied persons was 34.27 + 11.72 mMol/l. The largest percentage of those studied had FRAP values in the range 25–35 mMol/l. The highest contribution in the total DAI value was found in fruit (36.2%), grains and cereal-based products (23.6%), and beverages (24.0%). The consumption of vegetables was on the fourth position (7.1%). The contribution of the remaining food products was low. The consumption of total fats (about 70g/24h) and saturated fatty acids (14% of energetic value) exceeded the recommendations. The participation of mono-and polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diets was not in accordance with recommendations. The most frequently consumed fats were animal fats (sausages, butter) and cakes, but the consumption of vegetable oils, fish, nuts and seeds of oil plants was too low. Conclusions. The majority of elderly people made mistakes in their nutrition. The enrichment in natural antioxidants of the diets of elderly people and the normalization of their fats consumption should become an important element of primary and secondary prophylaxis of cardiovascular diseases.

Czarnoziemy użytkowane rolniczo ulegają stopniowej degradacji, której tempo zależy od intensywności produkcji. Na skutek uprawy następuje zmniejszenie zawartości materii organicznej w poziomie próchnicznym i jego miąższości oraz odgórna dekalcytacja w profilu glebowym. Celem badań było porównanie siedmiu profów czarnoziemów położonych w rejonie Podgórza Rzeszowskiego i Płaskowyżu Sańsko-Dniestrzańskiego oraz określenie stopnia ich degradacji. Wyniki wskazują na silne zróżnicowanie cech fizyko-chemicznych i chemicznych w badanych czarnoziemach i związany z nimi poziom degradacji.
Arable chernozems soils undergo to the successive degradation, and the rate of this process depends on the intensity at agricultural production. The content of organic matter in the accumulation horizon is decreasing as the effect of soil tillage. Another negative effect of soil cultivation is the decalcification of surface horizons on fewer depths of accumulation horizon. The first aim of this research was to compare the properties of seven charnozem profiles, situated on the Rzeszów submountain region and the San-Dniestr plateau, in order to determine the rate of their degradation. The physico-chemical and chemical properties of investigated soils are very differentiated as well as the level of their degradation.

Opis:
The most popular control algorithm in attitude stabilization of multirotor aerial vehicles is a PID controller. It is used so frequently because of low computational requirements and simplicity of implementation and tuning. However, there are many other control algorithms suitable for this task, for example fuzzy logic or neural networks controllers. These algorithms are more complex than PID, but with appropriate knowledge and hardware it is possible to implement them in the on-board controller. This paper presents the comparison of the mentioned algorithms during simulation experiments. The construction process of a micro multirotor flying platform NeuroQuad and the implementation of the tested algorithms on this platform are described.

The paper is dedicated to political sociology – its genealogy, status as a scientific discipline, its functions, agenda and methodological scope. The discussion of these issues is tuned towards didactic goals, facilitating students’ orienteering in the problematic, functions and requirements of political sociology as a part of political sciences. The paper consists of three parts. The first part, entitled „The origins and genaology of sociology political”, emphasizes historical continuity of reflection pertaining social conditions of politics. There, a project of scientist sociology and basing on its critiqs projects of Verstehen sociology and interpretative sociology are presented as well. It is also stressed that critical reflection over political relations and their social context involves an intermingling of emprical and normative aspects. The second part of the paper, enitled, „Debates and controversies pertaining contemporary political sociology”, outlines major axes differentiating positions taken by sociologists representing dominant methodological streams within this discipline of science nowadays. These axes are crystallized around a few issues that raise most controversies, incuding 1) an issue of institutional positioning of political sociology; 2) an issue of the subject matter of this discipline of science, and 3) an issue of the relationship between the discipline and its subject matter. The third part of the paper, entitled „An overview of major methodological conceptions and problems in contemporary political sociology”, discusses in some detail the main methodological approaches within the discipline as well as a tendency to broaden both the horizon of issues covered by contemporary political sociology and increase the scope of analytical approaches to research them. These tendencies are cliamed to result inter alia from empirical and theoretical insights provided by research into Europeanization and globalization. Subsequently, a basic structure of a course in political sociology is presented, leading analytical categories to be used while teaching the course are specified, and objectives inscribed in the university-level course of this discipline are listed.

In a variety of microavionics systems for multirotor flying platforms, only a few are designed as open hardware and software solutions, suitable for scientific research. In this paper, we present our own approach – a modular, distributed control system. The developed solution is adaptive for new tasks, unified between each module and designed in an innovative hardware manner. The presented solution has been already developed in various designs of multirotor platforms intended for different applications.

Opis:
The paper presents the measurements and the analysis of deformations between layers and the outside surface of a multilayer filament wound composite pipe. The pipe was made through the hoop wrap of roving stripes hence ring-shaped samples were prepared for test purposes. Carbon fibers and glass fibers were used for winding. In the course of their manufacturing, strain gauges and fiber optic sensors were placed between the composite layers. Then, the strength tests were performed. The samples were subjected to the internal pressure of 30 MPa. During the tests peripheral deformations were measured on outside surfaces of individual layers of the structure.

This paper describes the comparison of different methods of flight data logging in multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles. Solutions used in commercial avionics systems are presented and compared with the current design developed by authors. Based on the literature and analyzed examples, requirements for two separate logging systems are formulated. This approach allowed to modify current solutions and develop new methods for the high frequency data logging. Three different memory storages were considered for this task - SD card, RAM and external NAND Flash. Based on the theoretical calculations, developed prototypes and performed experiments, the best solution was selected.

The paper discusses the development of gated and guarded housing estates in Poland's capital, Warsaw. It contains a presentation of recent empirical findings based on a series of field research carried out since the 1990s in Warsaw, with a special focus on its largest residential district of Ursynow. Detailed mappings of the researched housing estates are included, which evidence their rapid spread in the district. An attempt at classifying the housing estates according to different clusters of their physical design is made. A functional analysis of their physical features is carried out against the background of a global discourse of in/security which is presumed to play a major role in the development of contemporary cities. However, several local factors, which have a bearing on gating the city of Warsaw, are also reflected upon.
