Celem artykułu jest pokazanie, w jaki sposób koncepcja ram interpretacyjnych może być zastosowana przy badaniu tekstów medialnych. W części pierwszej przedstawiono, jak rozwijała się ta koncepcja, poczynając od lat 70. ubiegłego wieku aż po dzień dzisiejszy – ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem rozwoju w obrębie nauk o mediach. W części drugiej omówiono definicję ramy oraz rodzaje ram. W części trzeciej zajęto się problemami metodologicznymi związanymi z analizą ramową: wyborem metody badania i wyborem jednostki analizy. Zwrócono uwagę na nieuwzględnianie w analizach ram multimodalnych. W zakończeniu wyliczone zostały kwestie, które przy analizie ramowej wymagają jeszcze rozstrzygnięcia bądź doprecyzowania.
Scientific objective: The purpose of the paper is to examine how the concept of interpretive frame can be applied in media studies. The first part presents how this concept developed, from the 1970s to the present day—with particular emphasis on development within media studies. The second part discusses the definition of a frame and the types of frames. The third part deals with methodological problems related to the framing analysis: the choice of the method and the choice of the unit of analysis. Attention was paid to not including the multimodal frame in the analyzes. Finally, the issues which in the framing analysis still need to be resolved or clarified were identified.

Modern Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) are now being widely deployed; in order to ensure that these deployments will bring maximum benefit to end users and other stakeholders, an ITS architecture, which defi nes how the deployed system would fi t into overall ITS structure, has to be defi ned. Help is available to achieve these goals from the European ITS Framework (FRAME) Architecture, now being upgraded by the European project E-FRAME. Within this project also the importance of mutual influence between standards and architecture is judged.

Artykuł poświęcono sposobom badania ram interpretacyjnych w tekstach medialnych. Zakłada się, że wszystkie te teksty są polisemiotyczne, zatem i ramy muszą być multimodalne. Próbuję odpowiedzieć na cztery pytania: jaką metodologię wykorzystywać, jak dobrać jednostkę analizy, jakie środki ramowania uwzględniać, jak opisywać współdziałanie środków werbalnych i niewerbalnych.
The article is devoted to the methods of researching interpretative frames in media texts. Since it is assumed that all these texts are polisemiotic the frames themselves must be multimodal. I try to answer four questions: what kind of methodology should be used; how to choose the unit of analysis; which framing devices should be taken into account; how to describe the cooperation between verbal and non-verbal devices.

Abstract: Frame Analysis (1974) is probably the most important work written by Erving Goffman, however it was only recently translated into Polish. The author of this article (a sociologist and the translator of Goffman's book) presents an overview of major problems involved in the process of this translation, especially those pertaining to main concepts introduced by Goffman. Among these are frame and framing, containment, keying, and flooding out. This paper also offers an attempt to adapt Goffman's conceptual framework to a systematic analysis of the very process of translation (which could be treated, as it is argued) as a keying of the original text.

The paper analyses the image of woman in the interpretative frame of Russian paremias. The author asks a number of questions: What role does the woman play in society and family? How is she treated by her husband? How do they treat their children? Who is the woman juxtaposed with? Who is she compared to? Answering these questions the author tries to reconstruct the image of woman functioning in the Russian awareness. This is the image passed from generation to generation in proverbs and sayings, which are the products of language, culture and awareness.

W artykule przedstawiono Krajowy System Zarządzania Ruchem /KSZR/, którego zadaniem będzie poprawa bezpieczeństwa oraz usprawnienie procesu sterowania ruchem pojazdów na drogach krajowych. GDDKiA postanowiła stworzyć system na bazie istniejących już europejskich rozwiązań poprzez zastosowanie zintegrowanych usług ITS. Twórcy KSZR postanowili wdrożyć sprawdzone rozwiązanie oparte na modelu Europejskiej Ramowej Architektury ITS, znaną pod nazwą FRAME (ang. Framework Architecture Made for Europe). Architektura FRAME pozwali GDDKiA na wdrażanie nowych komponentów oraz łatwą rozbudowę i integrację z innymi systemami. KSZR podniesie konkurencyjność polskiej infrastruktury, o ile głównym kryterium nie będzie cena lecz gwarancja jakości wykonanych modułów wdrożeniowych.
The paper presents the National Traffic Management System /KSZR/ whose task will be to improve safety and traffic management. GDDKiA decided to create a system based on already existing European solutions through the use of integrated ITS services. Developers of KSZR decided to implement a proven solution based on the FRAME model. FRAME Architecture allows GDDKiA the implementation of new components and easy expansion and integration with other systems. KSZR will increase the competitiveness of polish infrastructure, if the main criterion is not the price but the warranty of quality of the created implementation modules.

Opis:
The article oers an insight into the importance of frames and their features to convey the meaning of Japanese onomatopoeia in the translation process. Based on the present scientic and practical research of the novel by Haruki Murakami Wind-up Bird Chronicles and its translation by Jay Rubin, there have been counted frequencies of use along with clarication of the semantic and stylistic peculiarities of onomatopoeia. Frame analysis, which is used to convey the meaning of Japanese onomatopoeia in the context of the English translation, enables to identify the main characteristics of Japanese syntax, especially the use of particles. Since there is no grammar case in Japanese, onomatopoeic verbs are determined by particles, and predicate plays the main role in the sentence structure. In this case, particles may form additional grammar cases. To visualize his inner world, Haruki Murakami uses onomatopoeias that convey emotions and feelings of the protagonist, as well as the descriptions of peculiar features and sounds of nature. It is the presence of mimetics that enables Murakami to create a complex frame net that intertwines the main storylines through the permanent repeating of some onomatopoeia.

In Poland at the end of 2013 was completed implementation of the European Vertical Refrence Frame EVRF2007 in the country. This frame is the result of twenty years of works of the Subcommittee EUREF IAG. The paper in a condensed way describes the successive stages of development of the EVRF2007 frame in order to allow the readers to understand its essence. In the first part of the work are given definitions and how the EVRF2000 frame has been implemented and then is described how the system has been improved. Then the EVRF2007 is characterized with particular attention paid to the vertical movements of the earth crust and tidal corrections.

Skuteczne zmniejszenie emisji tlenków siarki i azotu w Europie doprowadziło w ostatnich latach do zwiększenia względnego udziału amoniaku w zakwaszeniu i eutrofizacji środowiska przyrodniczego. W pracy zaprezentowano wyniki modelowania rozkładów przestrzennych stężenia oraz depozycji suchej i mokrej amoniaku w Polsce w rozdzielczości 5x5 km. W tym celu zastosowano brytyjski model FRAME, który w ostatnich latach jest przystosowywany do pracy w warunkach polskich. FRAME jest modelem typu Lagrange'a, cechującym się dużą rozdzielczością pionową (33 warstwy) oraz przestrzenną (5x5 km). Walidację modelu w odniesieniu do stężenia i depozycji NHx przeprowadzono na podstawie pomiarów punktowych oraz przez porównanie bilansu depozycji z innymi dostępnymi źródłami danych: EMEP (European Monitoring and Evaluation Program), IOŚ i IMGW. Stwierdzono dużą zgodność wyników uzyskanych za pomocą modelu FRAME z dostępnymi danymi pomiarowymi. Bilans depozycji suchej i mokrej NHx dla Polski, obliczony na podstawie danych uzyskanych za pomocą FRAME, jest zbliżony do podawanego przez EMEP i GIOŚ. Zaprezentowane w pracy wyniki badań wykazują także konieczność poprawy niektórych parametrów w polskiej wersji modelu FRAME. Dotyczy to szczególnie procesu seeder-feeder, którego efektywny wpływ na wielkość mokrej depozycji zmienia się przestrzennie.
Over the last ten years the acid and nitrogen deposition have decreased in Poland as a result of decreased emissions. However, the relative contribution of ammonia deposition shows an increasing trend. To support the national monitoring of ammonia concentration and deposition of reduced nitrogen, numerical models have been developed. Here, the gridded emissions and meteorological data for 2002 were applied to estimate the concentration and deposition of NHx for Poland with the FRAME model (Fine Resolution Atmospheric Multi-pollutant Exchange model). FRAME is a Lagrangian model with high spatial (5 x 5 km) and horizontal resolution (33 layers) and was originally developed for the United Kingdom. Because of its high spatial resolution, the model considers the seeder-feeder effect (the washout of polluted hill cloud droplets by raindrops from upper layers), which is largely responsible for enhanced wet deposition over mountainous areas. FRAME results were compared with available data from the monitoring sites and with the EMEP and IMGW/IOŚ estimates of wet and dry deposition. The results show close agreement with measurements (with R2 of 0.71 for wet deposition). Due to the fine spatial resolution of the FRAME model, the spatial distribution of NH3 concentration and NHx deposition shows a complex pattern which can not be noticed in the coarser resolution EMEP model. The FRAME national deposition budget is in close agreement with the EMEP and IMGW estimates. The modelled reduced nitrogen wet deposition is overestimated in the Tatra Mts. This is because of the more continental climate and the seeder-feeder process being less effective, if compared with the UK. This suggests that the efficiency of the seeder-feeder effect, included into the model, should vary spatially.

The article presents a frame technology for a pusher tug, the construction of which was developed within the framework of the INCOWATRANS project. The technological division was made using a so-called mass criterion. The weight of the biggest sections does not exceed 12 tonnes, which allows the steel hull to be built using even as small a crane as the truck crane of approximate carrying capacity of 20 tonnes. Subsequent building stages are illustratively shown in the figures.

This article explores the phenomenon of elections as a political chronotope, a spatio-temporal realm where the mechanisms of democracy unfold. Its aim is to elucidate the unique socio-political nature of elections. The author establishes that the spatial and temporal characteristics define the format and regulations governing electoral interactions. The term «chronotope» is understood as an interdisciplinary concept that captures the essential connections between temporal and spatial features within a specific order of phenomena. Although extensive research has focused on the social, technical, and psychological aspects of expressing one›s will, the ontology of elections, which encompasses the comprehension of the «unity of time and place of action» and the involvement of political actors in the electoral scenario, has been largely overlooked. Additionally, this study concentrates on the concept of the electoral situation, which delineates the synchronous and diachronic connections wherein citizens’ political choices are positioned, realized, and interpreted. The notion of the electoral situation can be correlated with the term «political landscape», which is only partially related to actual geography but predominantly pertains to the comprehensive conditions of an electoral competition (the coordinate system) and the participants involved in this process. The article’s author illustrates how the electoral situation constructs synchronous and diachronic connections at various levels of political interaction. Notably, these connections are facilitated by political mythologems, which serve as unifying and integrative factors within the electoral chronotope. By examining these mythologems, the author highlights their role in shaping the narrative and symbolism surrounding elections, ultimately influencing the dynamics and outcomes of the electoral process. Overall, this article delves into the intricate relationship between elections and the spatio-temporal framework in which they occur. By emphasizing the significance of the electoral situation and its connection to the broader political landscape, the author sheds light on the multifaceted nature of electoral processes, enriching our understanding of democracy’s fundamental mechanisms.

The paper is devoted to elastic buckling of a symmetrical triangular frame under tensile in-plane load. Three mathematical models of the triangular frame are formulated. The first model deals with the pre-buckling state, the second one with the in-plane buckling state, and the third one with the lateral buckling state of the frame. The FEM-numerical model of the frame is formulated and the critical loads are calculated. The comparison of the results obtained in the analytical and numerical-FEM analysis is presented in tables and graphs in figures.

In development of road transport, particular attention should be paid to services that integrate cooperating and automated vehicles, in which there is a visible potential for reducing energy consumption and exhaust emissions. There is also a need to create a unified architecture which will facilitate the data flow between new components in ITS. The article proposes new functional areas in the FRAME architecture focused on the interoperability of ITS services, including the progressive autonomy and electrification of transport means. The available literature on the subject was reviewed at the national and global level, and legislative changes regarding electromobility or legal framework relating to autonomous vehicles were taken into account.
