Opis:
A new method has been developed for predicting the load distribution along the thread portion of a bolt and nut connection. The calculated results were validated by comparison with three-dimensional finite element analysis and Yamamoto’s method. It was shown that the load distribution predicted by the model in this paper was in good agreement with the results from finite element model, and the load ratio on the first thread by the prediction model and finite element model was slightly larger than the results from Yamamoto’s method. In addition, the results of calculation and finite element analysis indicated that the decreasing of the lead angle could improve the load distribution, the increasing of the length of thread engaged could significantly improve the load bearing capacity of the first thread, and the adopting of a material with low stiffness for the nut with respect to the bolt could improve the load distribution slightly.

Opis:
Canine mammary tumors are the most common neoplasms in intact female dogs. The surgery cannot always solve the problem, chemotherapy are recommend to these patients. However, chemotherapy could always fail because of multidrug resistance (MDR). Through stepwise increasing 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) concentration in the culture medium, a 5-FU-resistant canine mammary tumor cell line CMT7364/5-FU was established to disclose the molecular mechanism of the drug resistance. Cell morphology, cell sensitivity to drugs, growth curves, expression of proteins, and chemo-sensitivity in vivo were compared between the parental cell line and resistant cell line. As compared it to its parental cell line (CMT7364), CMT7364/5-FU showed different morphology, cross-resistant to other chemo-drugs and a prolonged population doubling time (PDT). The drug efflux pump proteins (ABCB1 and ABCG2) in CMT7364/5-FU were up-regulated. In vivo, the similar result revealed that CMT7364/5-FU cell line was more resistant to 5-FU. In conclusion, a 5-FU-resistant canine mammary tumor cell line (CMT7364/5-FU) was successfully established, it can serve as a good model for researching the mechanism of MDR and screening effective agents to reverse drug resistance.

Opis:
Repeated magnetic flux surface measurements confirmed the existence of closed and nested flux surfaces, but also revealed the existence of magnetic error fields. The simultaneous application of two radio frequency systems for plasma heating operating at 28 GHz and 2.45 GHz, respectively, allowed to reach otherwise non-accessible plasma regimes in WEGA due to synergetic effects. These regimes are characterized by over-dense plasmas at 0.5 T operation by means of electron Bernstein wave heating and the existence of supra-thermal electrons associated with soft X-ray and gamma-rays. The thermal electron diffusion coefficient was determined in the electron Bernstein wave heated plasma regime. Additionally, results from turbulence studies in low density plasmas in the vicinity of magnetic islands are presented.
