- Background: Under the influence of Russia's war against Ukraine, there have been changes in the content of a number of school subjects. These changes reflect two main needs. The first set of needs is the need to develop competences for ensuring security in conditions of military risks. The second group of needs reflects the accelerated change in social demands and attitudes caused by the war. The aim of the research is to determine the trends of changes in the subject of education in schools of Ukraine caused by the war and to analyse the subject of prevention of war risks. Objectives: Identification of changes in the content of a number of school subjects allows to analyse the main trends and highlight the subjects that are important during the war. Methods: The research used methods of document analysis, mathematical methods, especially registration and ranking, theoretical methods, including: analysis, synthesis, generalisation, comparison, induction, deduction, conclusions. Results: The study showed that the content of many topics changed under the influence of the war. Significant changes took place in the study of the Russian language, Russian and foreign literature, Ukrainian history and world history. Subjects such as jurisprudence, geography, etc. have undergone some changes. Changes and additions related to the formation of security skills were made in the subjects "Basics of Health", "Defence of Ukraine", integrated course "Health, Safety and Well-being". These changes and additions are essential. For example, in the subject "Basics of health" in individual classes, changes and additions make up almost 32% of the total volume of material. The study made it possible to outline the main groups of changes caused by the war. Conclusions: Identifying the changes that took place in Ukrainian education under the influence of the war is the basis for social research and a prerequisite for further transformation of the content of Ukrainian education. The experience of Ukraine will make it possible to assess the need for similar or similar changes in the content of education in other countries.
