Opis:
This study aims to determine the effects of the addition of the best glycerol concentration as a plasticizer on edible film alginate for tensile strength test, thickness test, percent elongation, and transparency test. The research method used was experimental with a Completely Randomized Design consisting of five treatments and three replications. The treatment of the addition of glycerol concentration was 0.3% based on the volume of solution, 0.5% based on the volume of solution, 0.7% based on the volume of solution, 0.9% based on the volume of the solution, and 1.1% based on the volume of the solution. Observations on the physical characteristics of edible films include thickness, tensile strength, percent elongation, and transparency. The results of the study of physical characteristics of thickness, tensile strength, percent elongation, and transparency concluded that the addition of glycerol concentration in edible films as much as 0,9% was the best treatment based on Japanesse Industrial Standard (JIS) with an average value of 0,094 mm thickness, tensile strength 8,25 MPa, elongation percent value 10,83%, and transparency value is 1,86.

Opis:
Rivers generally have pollution potential, which from industrial waste, domestic waste or high human activities, especially in rivers designated as tourist destinations, such as along the Green Canyon River which is used as a research location. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of pollution along the Green Canyon River, Pangandaran. This research focuses on the saprobic index method using plankton as a group composer of saprobic waters which is become a pollution indicator. This research was conducted from September up to November 2018. Sampling was taken at five different stations. The results of this research indicate that the saprobic value of the index along the Green Canyon River, Pangandaran River ranges from 1.0 to 1.5 which indicates that waters are being in very low pollution up to low pollution. The lowest saprobic index value was found at station 4 with the use of the mangrove area and the highest saprobic index value was found at station 2 which was the first brackish point that dominated with forest and far from residential settlements. Identified plankton consists of 8 genera of phytoplankton and 2 genera of zooplankton with abundance until 2495 individual/L. The average of diversity index in range 0.99-1.02 with an average of dominance in range 0.103-0.121.

Opis:
This research was conducted in Mempawah Mangrove Park, West Kalimantan on July – August 2018. The research aims to map the benthic macrofauna community structure and its relationship with the structure of mangrove vegetation. The research method was a survey and use purposive sampling data method in observation stations based on different stages of mangrove vegetation. The observation stations consists of Avicennia marina and Rhizophora stylosa as the species of mangroves. Station 1 consists of mangroves in seedling size, station 2 consists of mangroves in pole size, and station 3 consists of mangrove trees. The benthic macrofauna consist of 8 species from 3 different classes, merostomata, malacostraca, and gastropods. The highest abundance value (155 ind/m2), diversity index (1,875) and similarity index (0,668) is in station 2. The relationship between benthic macrofauna abundance and mangrove density has -0,356 as the correlation coefficient which indicates that an increase of benthic macrofauna abundance is in line with the decrease of mangrove density. High density value in research shows that the mangrove is in seedling size, and vice versa a low density value indicates the mangrove trees. The coefficient of determination (0,1272) indicating that the abundance of benthic macrofauna is affected by the mangrove density as 12,72% and 87,28% affected by other factors.

Skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis (Linnaeus, 1758)) is one of the main commodities of Palabuhanratu capture fisheries with a percentage of 14% or 422.701 kg of total capture fisheries production in 2017. The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation between length and mouth opening of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus Pelamis) in the waters of Palabuhanratu Sukabumi Regency. The sample was collected in June until August 2019 at the Palabuhanratu Fishing Port, Sukabumi Regency. Skipjack tuna observed during the research had a total length range from 250 until 730 mm FL. The pattern of length and opening mouth relationships of skipjack tuna can be seen from the regression and correlation values. The results obtained were collected combined Y = 0.8064x - 0.2283 and R2 = 0.7786. Correlation value of the length and mouth opening relationship of skipjack tuna was 0.88. The level of length-mouth opening relationship of skipjack tuna is highly interrelated.

Opis:
This study was conducted to determine the fertility difference between silvofishery pond and conventional pond in Legonkulon, Subang, West Java. Sampling methods was used by collecting samples four times in the composite from five sampling points at six stations (three stations at silvofishery ponds and three stations at conventional ponds). The data were analyzed with comparative descriptive method. The results showed that average abundance of phytoplankton in the silvofishery pond is higher (1935 ind/l) than in the conventional pond (494 ind/l). Average abundance of zooplankton in the silvofishery pond found lower (383 individuals/L) than conventional pond (963 ind/l). Makrozoobenthos average abundance is not significantly different between silvofishery pond and conventional pond with average abundance of each 1162 and 1306 individuals/m2 respectively. Silvofishery pond with a composition of 20% mangrove and 80% ponds increased fertility of plankton and makrozoobenthos.

Opis:
This research aims to determine the best currents speed and utilization of venturi to increasing survival, growth of Cyprinus carpio L. and reducing the infection rate of A. hydrophila bacteria. fingerlings. This research used an experimental method completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. The treatments used were the use of currents and venturi on the maintenance media with currents velocities of 0 m/s (A), 0.06 m/s (B), 0.1 m/s (C), and 0.14 m/s (D). Maintenance of the test fish for 40 days then followed by a challenge test for 14 days. Koi fish fingerlings tested to use A. hydrophila with a density of 108 CF /ml. The parameters observed included white blood cells, red blood cells, clinical symptoms, survival, daily growth rate, feed conversion ratio and water quality. The results showed that the use of currents and venturi with a flow rate of 0.14 m/s was effective in improving the performance of the koi fish's immune system and reducing the infection rate of A. hydrophila bacteria. During the flow administration during the 40 days maintenance period, the white blood cell count increased by 20.51% from a value of 9.19 × 104 cells/mm3 to 11.56 × 104 cells/mm3. Red blood cells increased by 40.65% from 1.60 × 106 cells/mm3 to 2.69 × 106 cells/mm3. Currents treatment with a speed of 0.14 m/s produced the highest survival rate after challenged with a value of 86.7%. Also this treatment was effective in preventing infection of A. hydrophila bacteria, it can be seen from the macroscopic clinical symptoms that appear less than the treatment current. The best results of daily growth rate and feed conversion ratio provided in currents treatment with a speed 0.1 m/s.
