- Triclwderma reesei M7-1 was cultivated in Saunders media with various quantities of thermally inactivated cells of Yarrowia lipolytica biomass and Avicel cellulose (1 %) as inductors of lytic enzymes (ß-1,3- glucanases, chitinases and cellulases). The ß-1,3- glucanases and chitinases were best produced by T.reesei M7-1 in medium with 1.5% of biomass supplemented with 3% of Avicel cellulose. The highest activity of cellulase (FP-ase) was obtained when the medium was supplemented with cellulose alone (3%) or cellulose (3%) plus biomass (1.5%). The enzymatic preparation from T.reesei M7-1 (obtained during ethanol precipitation) was used to Y.lipolytica and Schwaniornyces occidentalis protoplast production and the effect of this process was comparable with that of commercial preparations.
