- Since joining the EU, Poland is breaking records in the import of second-hand cars. Most often imported to Poland cars come from Germany and there is a little evidence to change this trend (even announced an increase in imports from the United Kingdom). The statistics also dominated by German car manufacturers. The top five most imported brands in order, Volkswagen, Opel, Renault, Audi, Ford. Record was in 2008, when the Poles brought more than 1.1 million cars. Among the imported cars are more and more heavily worn vehicles in poor technical condition - do not meet modern safety and environmental standards.
