- The author presents the monuments dating from the period of revolutionary struggles and the workers’ movement. In 1948 these monuments were divided into four groups: 1. monuments connected with the Hussite revolutionary movement, 2. monuments connected with the peasants’ rebellion, 3. monuments connected with workers’ movements and activities of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, 4. monuments connected with antifascist resistance. The first group includes Tâbor, the town-reservation, the place of birth of Jan Zizka at the Troćno Castle, monuments to the heroes of the Hussite movement etc. From the period of the peasants’ rebellion there have been preserved, among others, battle-fields, monuments to famous rebels tnd places in commemoration of their deeds. The third group includes the houses in which first workers’ meetings took place or the houses in which the Workers’ Party members edited their booklets as well as the houses in which active party members lived and worked. It also includes commemorating plates, monuments in commemoration of famous strikes, places of execution etc. Monuments of similar kind belong to the fourth group as well. Besides, the fourth group includes concentration camps, tombs of those killed in action, exhibitions connected with military operations conducted by the Red Army etc.
