Opis:: The article focuses on the description and evaluation of basic issues regarding the financial situation of Polish non-financial enterprises. Performance in key areas, such as financial liquidity, return on sales, assets and equity and productivity of resources, was evaluated. Although in the years between 2009 and 2014 the financial situation of enterprises was characterized by a significant volatility, positive developments were predominant. In 2011, Polish non-financial enterprises achieved a record profit from their activities. Global economy developments can adversely affect the activity of Polish enterprises.

Opis:: Artykuł przedstawia podstawowe dane charakteryzujące aktywa obrotowe przedsiębiorstw, ich wartość, strukturę i dynamikę zmian. Wskazano także na związek oraz wzajemne uwarunkowania aktywów obrotowych i funkcjonowanie procesów logistycznych. Aktywa obrotowe przedsiębiorstw średnich i dużych na koniec 2018 r. przekroczyły wartość 1 bln zł i stanowią 40% całości majątku przedsiębiorstw. W okresie ostatnich 3 lat wysokie tempo wzrostu tych aktywów spowodowało obniżenie ich produktywności, pogorszenie efektywności funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw. Przyrost zapasów angażował blisko 30% całego przyrostu PKB. W tekście wskazano na związek funkcjonowania procesów logistycznych z poziomem i strukturą aktywów, a także płynnością finansową, aczkolwiek pomiar ilościowy wpływu tych procesów jest bardzo trudny, może być zrealizowany w konkretnym przedsiębiorstwie.
The text presents basic data that characterises current assets of enterprises, their value, structure and change dynamics. Mutual links between current assets and Logistics processes were also pointed out. Current assets of medium and large enterprises exceeded 1 trillion PLN at the end of 2018 and amounted to 40% of companies' total assets. Over the last 3 years, high increase of those assets caused the deterioration of productivity and effectiveness of enterprises. Increase in the value of inventories generated almost 30% of the increase in the GDP. The relationship between the functioning of logistics processes and the level and structure of assets, as well as financial liquidity, was pointed out. However, quantitative measurement of the influence of those processes is very challenging and hence only possible in case of individual enterprises.

Opis:: Variable trends were shown in the financial standing of Polish non-financial corporate sector in 2008–2012. They resulted from significant fluctuations of the dynamics of economic processes. Thenegative impact of both global financial and economic crisis also affected the activity of the Polish corporate sector. The slowdo wn in the rate of growth, export and import dynamics, the absolute decline in investment (in 2009), the volatility of the zloty against the U.S. dollar and euro adversely affected the financial performance of companies. Despite these negative phenomena in the financial standings of enterprises it should be noted the required liquidity level positive financial results of capital structureimprovement have been maintained in the majority of enterprises.The year 2012 brought the deepening of the crisis in a number of countries. Polish enterprise sector recorded again a worsening financial situation. Outlooks for the future do not indicate that the 2013 is going to be exceptional. Further situation worsening must be taken into consideration. The corporate sector will continue to make profits, maintain financial liquidity in the majority of enterprises, and capital structure will have positive effect on the general situation of the financial sector.
