Opis:
Rivers generally have pollution potential, which from industrial waste, domestic waste or high human activities, especially in rivers designated as tourist destinations, such as along the Green Canyon River which is used as a research location. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of pollution along the Green Canyon River, Pangandaran. This research focuses on the saprobic index method using plankton as a group composer of saprobic waters which is become a pollution indicator. This research was conducted from September up to November 2018. Sampling was taken at five different stations. The results of this research indicate that the saprobic value of the index along the Green Canyon River, Pangandaran River ranges from 1.0 to 1.5 which indicates that waters are being in very low pollution up to low pollution. The lowest saprobic index value was found at station 4 with the use of the mangrove area and the highest saprobic index value was found at station 2 which was the first brackish point that dominated with forest and far from residential settlements. Identified plankton consists of 8 genera of phytoplankton and 2 genera of zooplankton with abundance until 2495 individual/L. The average of diversity index in range 0.99-1.02 with an average of dominance in range 0.103-0.121.

Opis:
This study was conducted to determine the fertility difference between silvofishery pond and conventional pond in Legonkulon, Subang, West Java. Sampling methods was used by collecting samples four times in the composite from five sampling points at six stations (three stations at silvofishery ponds and three stations at conventional ponds). The data were analyzed with comparative descriptive method. The results showed that average abundance of phytoplankton in the silvofishery pond is higher (1935 ind/l) than in the conventional pond (494 ind/l). Average abundance of zooplankton in the silvofishery pond found lower (383 individuals/L) than conventional pond (963 ind/l). Makrozoobenthos average abundance is not significantly different between silvofishery pond and conventional pond with average abundance of each 1162 and 1306 individuals/m2 respectively. Silvofishery pond with a composition of 20% mangrove and 80% ponds increased fertility of plankton and makrozoobenthos.

Opis:
Cijulang River, Pangandaran is a river that is used for agriculture, fisheries, industry, household activities and even as a tourist attraction. Macrozoobenthos is a bioindicator that can show changes in the quality of river waters due to these activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the macrozoobenthos community structure found on the Cijulang River, Pangandaran. The research method used is Purposive Sampling. The study was conducted at 4 stations along the Cijulang River from upstream to downstream in September - November 2018. The results of the research on the Cijulang River found 27 species of 5 classes included in 3 fillum namely Mollusca (23 species), Arthropoda (3 species) and Annelida (1 species). The value of macrozoobenthos density in the Cijulang River ranges from 29.7 - 416.3 ind/m2. Diversity index ranges from 1.48 - 2.24. The uniformity index ranges from 0.49 - 0.80. The range of water quality and substrate showed variations and dynamics that were still within the tolerance limits of macrozoobenthos life and water salinity is the main causes of variations in the macrozoobenthos community structure on the Cijulang River.

Opis:
Aims of the research are to determine the type of activated carbon with high absorption rate in absorbing heavy metals of lead in green shells. This research used experimental method with complete randomized design then analyzed used analysis of variance and duncan test to see the decrease of lead in green shells by using different charcoal filters. The results showed that the highest decrease in green shell was by using coconut shell activated filter are 0,28 with a decrease percentage of 36,51%. The best lead decrease in water maintenance coconut shell activated filter treatment are 0,33 ppm. The coconut shell activated charcoal has a low ash content compared to other types and large pore charcoal size. Factors that supporting the metal absorption by charcoal include ash content on charcoal, charcoal pores, carbon concentration and pH concentration. Water quality measurements were measured in the morning and evening as supporting parameters in the study. Water quality measurements are in a range that can still be tolerated by green shells. Based on these results it can be concluded that the use of coconut shell activated charcoal is the best type of charcoal in lowering lead in green shells.
