    Opis:
    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie przemiany autorytetu w zmieniającym się społeczeństwie poddanym różnym procesom: globalizacji, cyfryzacji, indywidualizacji, demokratyzacji, w którym całość życia przenika wszechobecna kultura masowa podtrzymywana i rozwijana przez mass media. Autor wskazuje na kilka tendencji w przemianie autorytetu – fragmentaryzację, autorytet podzielony, zmianę autorytetu specjalistów z dziedziny nauk medycznych i autorytetu formalnego państwa w czasie pandemii COVID-19 oraz mechanizm wyłaniania autorytetów w kulturze masowej. Tendencje te świadczą raczej o przemianie podmiotów miarodajności aniżeli o kryzysie zasady autorytetu. Problem kryzysu autorytetów najlepiej rozpatrywać z moralnego punktu widzenia, odnosząc autorytet do określonego systemu wartości. Z socjologicznej perspektywy właściwe jest diagnozowanie dynamiki autorytetu, przechodzenie od starych do nowych wzorów. Przemiany autorytetu można analizować z wielu perspektyw. Opisane zmiany wydają się być kluczowe w dynamice autorytetu w społeczeństwie polskim i globalnym.
    This article discusses the transformation of authority in a changing society that is subjected to various processes, such as globalization, digitization, individualization, or democratization. Such a society is permeated by ubiquitous mass culture, maintained and developed by the mass media. The author identifies the following three trends in the transformation of authority: fragmentation, divided authority, and the mechanism of emerging authorities in mass culture. These tendencies indicate a transformation of the entities of authority rather than a crisis of its general principle. The problem of a crisis of authority is best considered from a moral point of view, in which authority relates to a specific system of values. From a sociological perspective, it is appropriate to diagnose the dynamics of authority and its transition from old to new patterns. The transformations of authority can be analyzed from many perspectives. The identified tendencies are based on publications in the field of social sciences, describing the condition of authority both in Polish and global society.

    Opis:
    This paper herein focuses on the young people perception of the nearest significant social space, especially the family environment, parents and siblings, as well – peers (peer group). Firstly, the assessment of the youth on their relationship with parents and siblings was shown, then – the participation of family members and peers in solving the problems of young people and the impact of the circle of family and peers onto their attitudes and life choices. There has also been undertaken the problem of parental authority. The basis for the analyzes were the research results from national surveys and from those carried out on purposivesamples. The study period included the last two decades, i.e. the period from the beginning of the nineties of the last century to 2012. In light of these findings it can be concluded that the significant people in close social space for young people are members of the family (especially they mother, but also they father, to a lesser extent, siblings) and peer groups (friends, colleagues, and boyfriends/girlfriends). They give young people the emotional support and the environment on which they can rely in dealing with the problems, choices and decisions in life.
