    Opis:
    Ryzyko jest podstawową kategorią związaną z bezpieczeństwem funkcjonowania systemów technicznych. Problematyką bezpieczeństwa funkcjonowania systemu zaopatrzenia w wodę (SZW) należy rozpatrywać interdyscyplinarnie w zakresie wartości zdrowotnych wody do spożycia oraz ilości i jakości zasobów środowiskowych wody. System zaopatrzenia w wodę wyposażony jest w trzy bariery bezpieczeństwa: zapobiegania, ochrony i przeciwdziałania. Bariery te tworzą strukturę szeregową i powodują redukcję ryzyka towarzyszącą użytkownikom korzystającym z wodociągów publicznych. W pracy przedstawiono metodologię kompensacji i redukcji zintegrowanego ryzyka w układzie bezpieczeństwozdrowie– środowisko. Na tym tle sformułowano podstawowe zasady zarządzania kryzysowego, którego celem jest przygotowanie zasobów i społeczeństwa na wypadek wystąpienia zdarzenia niepożądanego, powodującego zagrożenia dla życia, mienia, środowiska i infrastruktury.
    The risk is an elementary category of safety of technical systems operation. The safety of water supply system (WSS) functioning should be examined interdisciplinary in the scope of drinking water health as well as quality and quantity of natural water resources. There are three basic safety barriers of water supply system: prevention, security and counteraction. These barriers make serial structure and reduce the risk associated with public water pipe. Compensation and reduction methodology of integrated risk in the safety-health-environment system has been presented. Based on this, the basic rules of critical management have been formulated to the effect of stocks and society preparation for the case of undesirable event occurrence which caused threat to life, restore, environment and infrastructure.

    The new regulation concerning the quality of drinking water offers a number of delegations on the waterworks inform users about the quality of tap water. The study analysis on the public risk health should be prepared. In the paper the analysis and assessment method of the population and property related to failure occurrence of collective water supply systems is presented. Four categories of factors having impact on the multiplicative risk: purity category or probability of danger occurrence, material damage, loss of population health and security were adopted. On this basis four-parametric risk matrix was developed. In the study also examples of application methods were presented. The method can provide a planning tool in crisis management at the local government level.

    Opis:
    The paper includes a brief characterization of the municipal water supply system (distributing treated riverine water), which serves the city of Rzeszów (150 thousand inhabitants). Making use of the results of physicochemical analyses (carried out on raw water samples from the Wisłok river), a joint project was established with the aim to upgrade the quality of potable and municipal water. The project is executed by MPWiK (Municipal Water-Supply and Sewerage Services). The measures taken under this project include the following: (1) development of the treatment train (coagulation, rapid filtration, disinfection) which is in use now by introducing preozonation and ozonation + filtration on GAC beds (during pollution episodes GAC will be replaced with pulverized carbon), (2) establishment of protection zones for water intakes, and (3) water quality monitoring. The paper also specifies the operating principles for early, warning systems, as well as presents the schedule of water, analysis in the intake profile and in the water supply system.

    The aim of the study was to compare the various water supply systems – from rural to agglomerations, in terms of continuity of water supply to the inhabitants in a crisis situation. The work included the diversification of water intakes with their number and the maximum daily production capacity and the diversification of water in the water tanks, knowing their number and volume. RB1 and RB2 diversification indexes have been proposed. Assessment criteria were included with comment. The research component is a two-parameter assessment of diversification for selected water supply systems using the indicators proposed by the authors. The use of proprietary indicators to assess the diversification of water supply using preference functions gives the ability to perform calculations easily and accurately.
