Opis:
The article describes the coat of arms of the first Bishop of Gorzów, Servant of God Wilhelm Pluta. He ruled the Gorzów Church in the years 1958-1986. The Gorzów Church is a conventional term for an administrative church unit which was established after the end of World War II. During Bishop Pluta’s rule, this administrative unit was called the Gorzów Ordinariate, in the years 1967-1972 the Gorzów Apostolic Administration and from 1972 onwards it was a canonically formed diocese of Gorzów. On the occasion of his episcopal ordination which Bishop Pluta received in the Gorzów Cathedral on 7 September 1958, the Bishop also adopted bishop’s coat of arms and the motto of his pastoral service. In the first part, the text presents the basic forms of Bishop’s Pluta life and service, then it outlines the history of the Gorzów Church until the death of this bishop. The last part focuses on the coat of arms used by the first Gorzów bishop. Basically, Bishop Pluta used one coat of arms throughout the entire period of his bishop ministry. In different publications there were only different variants of the escutcheon. The coat of arms did not comply with the general principles of secular heraldry, and hence it is necessary to read it in the light of what Bishop Pluta used to say.

Opis:
The article “Establishment and the first years of the activity of the Faith and Light movement in the diocese of (Zielona Góra) and Gorzów until 1998” presents the circumstances of the establishment and the first years of the movement from 1981 to 1998, i.e. from the moment it was created in the Środkowe Nadodrze up to the 1st Diocese Congress of the Catholic Movements and Associations. The research was conducted mainly on the basis of the sources kept in the private archives of the leaders of the movement in the diocese. The article was divided into three parts: 1. Circumstances of the establishment; 2. Organization of the movement and its structure, and 3. Christian formation and other forms of activity. Throughout the period under study, the movement was characterized by high vitality. In time, new groups emerged from the first communities in Zielona Góra and Gorzów, which most often implemented the formation and apostolic principles of the movement. It should be particularly emphasized that “Faith and Light” formation camps and other diocesan and regional meetings and conventions were organized each year.
