    The quality management system in an organization can ensure the safety of the organization's operation by unambiguous definition of tasks, competences and responsibilities of employees and continuous improvement of the activities carried out. eTh implementation of procedures resulting from the essence of the quality management system in an organization are flexible enough to be able to react freely to change taking place in its environment, and thus should be focused on continuous improvement. In order to be able to perform the tasks and achieve the goals resulting fro the implementation of the strategy, the company must have the tools and means tha will allow it to shape the product quality at all stages of the production and commercialization cycle. The aim of the article is to present the place that the instrument of improving quality management systems occupy in ensuring safe functioning.

Potrzeba zapewniania bezpieczeństwa znajduje się w katalogu podstawowych potrzeb oraz zadań państw, różnych organizacji i międzynarodowych społeczności. Bezpieczeństwo jest fundamentalną potrzebą ludzką, dlatego też zasadnicze zadanie państwa powinno skupiać się na stworzeniu, a później na doskonaleniu systemu bezpieczeństwa w taki sposób, aby tę potrzebę społeczną zapewnić tak w czasie stabilności, jak i zmiennych zagrożeń wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych. W opracowaniu przedstawiono uwarunkowania bezpieczeństwa postrzeganego jako kategorię społeczno – polityczną i militarną.
    Security is the most valued and protected value in terms of individuals, nations and organizations. The need to ensure security is included in the catalog of basic needs and tasks of states, various organizations and international communities. Security is a fundamental human need, therefore the fundamental task of the state should focus on creating and then improving the security system in such a way as to ensure this social need both in the time of stability and changing internal and external threats. The study presents the conditions of security perceived as a socio-political and military category.

    Opis:
    The Russian government's drive to expand its sphere of influence into countries that were part of the Russian empire in the past, poses a threat to most Eastern European countries. This is particularly true for the countries that are within the sphere of influence of the ongoing war in Ukraine, triggered by the invasion of the Russian army. The subject of this paper is the political and military situation in Eastern Europe, shaped in the wake of the Russian Federation's military aggression against Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to present the security policy of selected countries - members of NATO, which seek to systematically increase the military potential of the Alliance forces on their territory. The research problem was expressed in the form of the following question: how do the selected countries implement defense preparations and what NATO forces are involved, with particular emphasis on the role of the US? To solve the research problem, the analysis of the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM), the comments of the Center for Eastern Studies (OSW) and the publications of the Defence24 portal were mainly used.
    Dążenie władz Rosji do rozszerzania strefy swoich wpływów na kraje wchodzące w przeszłości w skład rosyjskiego imperium, stwarza zagrożenie dla większości państw Europy Wschodniej. Dotyczy to w szczególności państw, które znalazły się w zasięgu oddziaływania trwającej na Ukrainie wojny, wywołanej w wyniku inwazji armii rosyjskiej. Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy jest sytuacja polityczno-militarna w Europie Wschodniej, ukształtowana w następstwie agresji militarnej Federacji Rosyjskiej na Ukrainę. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie polityki bezpieczeństwa wybranych państw - członków NATO, które dążą do systematycznego zwiększania potencjału militarnego sił Sojuszu na swoim terenie. Problem badawczy został wyrażony w postaci następującego pytania: Jak wybrane państwa realizują przygotowania obronne i jakie siły NATO są zaangażowane, ze szczególnym uwypukleniem roli USA? Rozwiązanie problemu badawczego zostało oparte na analizach i krytyce dostępnej literatury przedmiotu oraz informacji agencyjnych.

    W treści artykułu odniesiono się do źródeł i przejawów konfliktu w organizacji, traktowanego jako nieodzowny element relacji międzyludzkich. U jego podłoża zawsze znajduje się rozbieżność interesów danych podmiotów. Z uwagi na istotę oddziaływania konfliktów w organizacji w niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiono podstawowe strategie i metody oraz skutki zarządzania konfliktem w organizacji. Wskazano jednostkowy, grupowy i międzyorganizacyjny model występowania konfliktu. Odniesiono się również do wagi kontekstu i czynników osobowościowych w kształtowaniu sytuacji niepożądanych w organizacji. Jednocześnie wskazano obszary pozadysfunkcyjnego oddziaływania konfliktów, podkreślając ich mobilizujący i wzmacniający więzi charakter, uzależniony od poziomu występowania ogólnie rozumianych rozbieżności interesów na poziomie człowieka, grupy i organizacji.
    The content of the article refers to the sources and manifestations of the conflict in the organization, which is treated as an indispensable element of human interpersonal relations, at whose bottom there is always a divergence of interests of the entities concerned. Due to the essence of conflicts in the organization, the study presents the basic strategies and methods as well as the effects of conflict management in the organization. The individual, group and inter-organizational conflict incidence model was indicated. It also refers to the importance of context and personality factors in shaping adverse events in the organization. At the same time, the areas of non-problematic conflict influence were pointed out, indicating their mobilizing and strengthening character relationship, depending on the level of occurrence of broadly understood differences of interests at the level of man, group and organization.

    W artykule scharakteryzowano pozycję menadżera w organizacji. Przedstawiono istotę władzy stwierdzając, istotne jest, by każdy człowiek sprawujący kierownicze stanowisko, we właściwy sposób rozumiał potrzebę sprawowania władzy i znał mechanizmy jej działania. Omówiono wagę autorytetu, gdyż władza menedżera powinna opierać się na jego autorytecie, zarówno formalnym, wynikającym z pełnionej funkcji, jak i nieformalnym, wynikającym z osobowości. Następnie przedstawiono typy nastawienia do władzy menadżerów według McClellanda i Burnhama. Oprócz nastawienia menedżerów do władzy, duże znaczenie ma forma jej sprawowania, dlatego scharakteryzowano jej trzy modelowe rodzaje. W artykule zaprezentowano także umiejętności i kompetencje menadżera, które są konieczne, aby skutecznie i efektywnie wykonywał swoje zadania oraz realizował cele. Scharakteryzowano również style kierowania oraz zadania menadżera w organizacji. Podkreślono, że dobór odpowiedniej osoby na stanowisko kierownika powoduje, że organizacja działa w sposób jasny i uporządkowany. Natomiast zakres cech, zadań i obowiązków, które musi spełniać „idealny kierownik” jest bardzo duży.
    The article describes the position of the manager in the organization. The essence of power is presented, stating that it is essential that every person holding a managerial position should properly understand the need to exercise power and know the mechanisms of its operation. The importance of authority was discussed, as the manager’s power should be based on his authority, both formal, resulting from his function, and informal, resulting from personality. Then, the types of attitude to the power of managers according to McClelland and Burnham are presented. In addition to the attitude of managers to power, the form of its exercise is very important, which is why its three model types have been characterized. The article also presents the skills and competences of the manager, which are necessary to effectively and effectively perform their tasks and achieve goals. The management styles and tasks of the manager in the organization were also characterized. It was emphasized that selecting the right person for the position of manager means that the organization operates in a clear and orderly manner. However, the range of features, tasks and responsibilities that an „ideal manager” must meet is very large.

In the dynamically changing reality, due to the continuous development of science and technology, the process of professional improvement and updating knowledge is the basis for the effective performance of duties by employees. The level of social competence has a decisive impact on the level of human specialisation, its responsibility to perform various social roles and, therefore, is important in the professional life of every human being.

Thus, the research problem refers to the question of what is the role of leadership in the professional career of the commanding staff of officers of the Polish Armed Forces? The publication is a continuation of a series of articles titled "Social competence of the commanding staff of officers of the Polish Armed Forces in the military security system of Poland" and "The role of the professional environment in shaping social competences". Leadership in today's human resources management in strategic terms is the basic determinant of creating specific behaviours of employees in every organisation. The analysis in the conducted research process refers to many components of social competence of officers who perform command functions. However, for the purposes of this article, leadership has been characterised and described as one of the many components of social competence of officers commanders.

    The aim of the study was to identify differences in the level of perceived safety in the Pruszków and Grodzisk districts as well as the nature of actions taken to increase the sense of security of residents in a place where until recently one of the most dangerous criminal groups in the country still operated. In order to examine the principles of human functioning in local society, the area of special interest - as a result of the exploration of the topic - was covered by the activities of two leading entities that play a particularly important function in shaping the process of local security. The analysis included evaluation of such categories as satisfactory relations with neighbors in the place of residence, permanent employment in the county, lack of crime in the county, unemployment in the county and evaluation of selected entities responsible for public safety.

    The study refers to the role of building relations between the direct supervisor and employee teams, indicating the opportunities and threats resulting from conducting selected aspects of internal communication in the so-called uniformed organisations. The authors draw attention to the roles of communication competencies and their social overtones, seeing in these elements both opportunities and threats to the involvement of employees in the performance of official tasks, as well as their readiness to deepen relations with their direct superior. The presented results of empirical research concern the organisation of the Ministry of National Defence and the State Fire Service and are only an element of a larger research project. The aim of the research process was to determine the opportunities and threats generated by aspects of organisational communication in the context of maintaining a satisfactory state of personal security of the examined institutions participating in activities in the field of defence and protection of population, property and the environment.

    The article is an attempt to highlight the main types of security threats in cyberspace. As literature provides a multitude of different approaches, standards, methodologies, and proposals for the classification of threats, the article focuses on threats to privacy and national ICT security. Cyberspace is subject to increasingly sophisticated and targeted threats, while our growing reliance on cyberspace exposes our privacy to risks, giving rise to new and significant security gaps. Due to its specific characteristics, it generates serious threats to individuals as well as to national and international security. Depending on the research perspective we adopt, these threats are variable, multidimensional, and multifaceted in nature. Therefore, they require systematic analysis and response.
    W artykule podjęto próbę naświetlenia głównych kategorii zagrożeń bezpieczeństwa w cyberprzestrzeni. Z uwagi na fakt, iż w literaturze istnieje mnogość różnych ujęć, standardów, metodyk i propozycji klasyfikacji zagrożeń, skoncentrowano się na zagrożeniach prywatności oraz bezpieczeństwa teleinformatycznego państwa. Cyberprzestrzeń podlega w coraz większym stopniu wyrafinowanym i ukierunkowanym zagrożeniom; rosnące uzależnienie od cyberprzestrzeni naraża naszą prywatność, stwarza nowe i znaczące luki w zabezpieczeniach. Z uwagi na swoje specyficzne właściwości generuje w jednakowym stopniu poważne zagrożenia dla jednostki, bezpieczeństwa narodowego i międzynarodowego. Zagrożenia te, w zależności od przyjętej perspektywy badawczej, mają charakter zmienny, wielowymiarowy i wielopłaszczyznowy. Wymagają systematycznej analizy i reakcji.
