Opis:
The results of measurements of cooling water temperature and temperature and humidity of cooled air, which were taken in longwall no. 3 of seam no. 502 at part J in "Śląsk" Colliery during the operation of a unit consisting of 4 small-sized diaphragm water air coolers (these are the first units of this kind in Poland) are presented in this paper. The measurement results of heat power for each air-cooler, temperature and specific humidity of cooled air were compared to calculation results, which were obtained on the basis of the equations presented in the paper. The research was conducted for two variants of air-coolers' connection to a water pipe - in series (variant A) and in series - parallel (variant B). The results of calculations and measurements are presented in the tables and the graphs. The conducted research allows to determine that total heat power of four air-coolers is within limits 120--130 kW. The greater power of the system with a series-parallel coolers' connection can be observed in the form of a slightly lower air temperature in the longwall; behind the outlet of the longwall air temperature was reduced by 2.2 degrees of Celsius (variant A) and 2.8 degrees of Celsius (variant B) in comparison with the situation without cooling.

Opis:
The purpose of the present study was to examine the consciousness of tourists within the scope of an organizational, economical and law situation of institutions giving first aid to injured people in touristic and recreational accidents. In order to complete the task, 151 adults taking part in tourism and recreation were examined by using survey. The study showed that outdoor form of recreation are more popular than traditional (indoor) kinds of sports. Moreover, the tourists condemn risky and reckless behaviours during these kinds of spending free time. The people inquired think, that tourists should participate in the costs of providing first aid for injured in this kind of accidents. In their opinion, financial situation of organizations which give first aid in touristic accidents is not satisfactory and they do not know any offer of insurance in this scope.

Opis:
Background: In pregnant women, changes in body posture and higher pelvic anteversion and increase lumbar lordosis are observed. Changes in the arrangement of bony elements result in an alteration in the pelvic floor soft tissue tension, increased resting muscles and ligaments tone in the lumbosacral region and sacral bone. The negative consequences of posture changes in pregnant women is lower back pain. The literature describing a lot of physiotherapeutic procedures and various of type massage which can use in pregnant women. In this study, we present applications of tensegrity massage combined with point manipulation of selected muscle attachments. Aim of the study: The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of tensegrity massage combined with point manipulation of selected muscle attachments in pregnant women. Material and methods: Two 30-year-old pregnant women received tensegrity massage were qualified for the study. The patients were subjected to a series of nine massage sessions of 45 minutes each, performed three times a week. Pain levels were assessed in both patients using the VAS. Results: The procedure involved normalization of the tone of the system of ligaments, fascia, and muscles in the lumbar spine region, the pelvic girdle, and the lower limbs. The therapy brought pain relief and reduced muscle tone in the lumbosacral region of the spine, as well as in the pelvic girdle and the lower limbs. Conclusions: Tensegrity massage combined with point massage is an effective therapy for pain problems and incorrect resting muscle tone caused by pregnancy-related posture changes within the pelvis and spine.

Opis:
Introduction. The article describes the process of converting a large multi-specialized hospital into one dedicated to COVID-19 patients, and present established standards of work organization in all the wards and training system of the medical and supporting staff. The several weeks pandemic of the COVID-19 disease has forced the healthcare systems of numerous countries to adjust their resources to the care of the growing number of COVID-19 patients. Managers were presented with the challenge of protecting the healthcare workers from transmission of the disease within medical institutions, and issues concerning the physical and psychological depletion of personnel. Materials and method. Based on analyses of the structure and work processes in Central Clinical Hospital (CCH) reconstructive strategic plan was developed. It included: division of existing wards into observation and isolation wards; installing locks; weekly plan for supplying personal protection equipment (PPE); designating new access to the hospital and communication routes; training of medical and supporting staff. The plan was implemented from the first days of conversion of the hospital. Results. The wards of the CCH were converted for observation and isolation, and each one was fitted with sanitary locks. There was a big improvement in the supply of PPE for the medical staff. Separation of the ‘dirty’ and ‘clean’ parts of the CCH were attained, and widespread intensive training not only protected personnel against infections, but also diminished unrest which was discernable at the beginning of conversion. Conclusions. The transformation efforts will ultimately be appraised at the end of the epidemic, but the data looks encouraging. Two weeks after conversion, the testing of hospital Staff was started and by the end of April, 459 tests were had been conducted, of which only 11 were positive.
