Opis:: O. prof. Bernard Rey OP (ur. w 1933 roku w Billy-Montigny we Francji, dominikanin i profesor teologii), od wielu dziesięcioleci zaangażowany w formację duchowo-intelektualną środowisk kościelnych we Francji, bardzo zdominowanej przez sekularyzację i laicyzację, zwraca uwagę, że wiara nie jest „dostępem do prawdy”, ale „sposobem egzystencji ludzkiej” w relacji do Jezusa jako źródła prawdy, życia i świętości. Dostrzega on konieczność powrotu człowieka do korzeni chrześcijańskiej wiary, która poprzez odnowione zaufanie Bogu dokona w nim potrzebnej przemiany i nawrócenia. Poprzez zawierzenie Bogu ze względu na istniejącą w Bogu miłość i dobro, otwierają się człowiekowi perspektywy „odzyskania” tego, co pod wpływem zła i grzechu utracił. Zwracając uwagę na znaczącą wartość wiary w procesie autokreacji człowieka, O. Rey próbuje wskazać poszukującemu racjonalne uzasadnienia i motywy do otwarcia się na działanie Boga i poddania się Jego zbawczej mocy. Zasłuchanie się w to, co Bóg ma do powiedzenia człowiekowi, jest uchyleniem „drzwi serca” i zaproszeniem Boga w swoje życie.
Padre prof. Bernard Rey OP (born in 1933 in Billy-Montigny, France, Dominican and professor of theology) is involved for many decades in the spiritual and intellectual formation of Church environments in France which is very dominated by secular. He points out that faith is not “access to truth” but “way of human existence” in relation to Jesus as the source of truth, life and holiness. He recognizes the necessity of returning man to the roots of the Christian faith through a renewed trust in God that will transform and convert him. Man has a chance to “regain” what he has lost under the influence of evil and sin by entrusting himself to God for the sake of God’s love and goodness. P. Rey tries to show the seeker rational justifications and motives to open up to God’s action and surrender to His saving power, payingattention to the significant value of faith in the process of human self-creation. Listening to what God has to say to man is opening “door of the heart” and inviting God into your life

Opis:: Jezus Chrystus jako Słowo życia jest tym, który „wychodzi” od Ojca i „przychodzi” na świat, aby objawić ludzkości ukryte od wieków oblicze Boga i obdarzyć Duchem Świętym, co w konsekwencji staje się jednocześnie udziałem człowieka w życiu Boga. W tym kontekście należy dostrzec element nadziei człowieka i jego wizji przyszłości w świetle objawienia Jezusa Chrystusa. Chrystus przychodząc w ludzkim ciele ukazuje sens istnienia ludzkiej egzystencji, w perspektywie Bożego stworzenia i wezwania do zbawienia. Dla Jana Pawła II, Chrystus istniejąc w „czasie i przestrzeni” daje strukturze ludzkiego istnienia możliwość rozeznania wieczności. Jako Światło świata Syn Człowieczy ukazuje specyfikę przestrzeni życia i bogactwo darów Ojca obdarzającego rodzaj ludzki nowym wymiarem egzystencji. Jezus jako Słowo Ojca objawia istniejącą harmonię trynitarną, która emanuje Bożymi darami na świat. Chrystus jako Syn Boży jest Słowem Ojca. Jako Bóg prawdziwy z Boga prawdziwego, jest Tym, którego Ojciec posłał na świat celem zbawienia każdego człowieka. Bóg Ojciec objawia się – jak naucza Jan Paweł II – przez swojego Syna, Jezusa Chrystusa, który jest Jego Słowem wychodzącym z silenzio, z milczenia. Jezus przychodząc na świat „mówi” ludzkości o swym Ojcu i o dokonujących z „milczenia Boga” wielkich dziełach stwórczych i zbawczych. W Jezusie Chrystusie urzeczywistnia się dar obecności Boga – w Eucharystii. Ten dar nowej „jakości” objawienia się Boga jest wymownym faktem interwencji Boga w historię świata, którego jest on Stwórcą. Jeśli Syn Boży istnieje poprzez swoją egzystencję w wymiarze ziemskim, to nadal pozostaje „objawieniem niebieskim”. Chrystus w pełni solidaryzuje się z człowiekiem i jego ludzką słabością. Dlatego sprawia, że cierpienie i doświadczenie ludzkiej śmierci staje się fundamentem Jego kapłaństwa i sensem Jego własnej Paschy
„In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and (…) the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (Joh 1,1 – 14). Jesus as the eternal divine Word comes from God and is really God. Jesus` origin, His provenance, is the true „beginning” – the primordial source from which all things come, the „light” and the „time” that makes the world into the cosmos. Consequently, He is making known the terms and the demands, which are necessary to perform in order to receive the „new life” of God and the participation in His heavenly kingdom. Certainly the proclamation of Jesus as the eternal Word of God had in itself the announcement of truth and the understanding of the plan divine with regard to mankind, which had the character of salvation on the aspect of eschatology. In the theological idea of saint John Paul II, what is distinctive in Jezus proclamation about your Father-God, is the „signs of time”, which gave people the possibility to see and understand the situation of daily life in the reality of salvation. If the announcement of Jesus is true, it has to grant for historical reconstruction and has to express his truth on the new dimension of existential. In this situation, the answer of the man of faith has to be the motivation to take up the „deed” of the renovation of self-life and the imitation of God. This constitutes as the Christian thought that the central point of the theological interpretation of the value of salvation is realized – hic et nun – as the historical and existential value of the human life in the right of the kingdom divine. The proclamation of Jesus as the Word of God about the „new life”, presents to man the values of the divine existence. On one hand, it is the gift of freedom and the liberation from sin, where the love of God is absolutely necessary. On the other hand, the „new life” opens for man the space of liberty of life, where God forgives the human offences and the sins, both past and present. Well now the resume of the call to imitate God is the acceptance of the divine gift, which changes the man himself, and all the people, who seek the help and good councils to live the norm divine. These witnesses in the human mentality the consciousness of the existence based on the divine laws, which have in themselves the dimension eschatological.
