i statystyk. W całym analizowanym okresie państwo wspierało inwestycje portowe
i żeglugę. Mała flota handlowa Królewca przewyższyła w 1933 roku (21 tys. BRT) kilka
razy tonaż z 1913 roku. Flota szczecińska osiągnęła najwyższy stan w 1929 roku
(165 tys. BRT). Konkurencja portów północnoniemieckich spowodowała, że armatorzy
obu prowincji ograniczyli zasięg żeglugi głównie do Bałtyku i Morza Północnego.
Ważną rolę odgrywały przewozy pasażerów i towarów promami kolejowymi na linii
Sassnitz–Trelleborg i Świnoujście–Piława, które to linie miały być alternatywą dla
niemieckiego tranzytu przez polskie terytorium.
The article describes turnover of ports through ship traffic, tonnage development, ship owning companies in main ports (Szczecin, Królewiec), as well as shipping directions and destinations. The description is based on source materials and statistics. In the whole period the state supported port investments and shipping. The tonnage of small Królewiec fleet was several times higher in 1933 (21 thousand GRT) than in 1913. The Stettin Fleet reached its peak in 1929 (165 thousand GRT). Competition from ports of northern Germany caused shipping companies of the aforementioned provinces to limit their navigation mainly to the Baltic and North Sea. A significant role was played by passenger and freight services by railway ferries on the Sassnitz – Trelleborg and Świnoujście – Piława lines which was supposed to be an alternative route of German transit through Polish territory. - Źródło:
