Opis:
Many European cities have initiated actions in the matter of creating sustainable transport systems that is useful for the society, economical and ecological, through utilization of modes of transport of better environmental performance. Many solutions promoting sustainable transport are being implemented such as electric vehicle rentals, separate infrastructure for collective transport, joint ticket systems, low emission zones or park&ride systems. The paper presents legal regulations and guidelines related to the principles and methods of creation of sustainable urban transport. In second part of paper, actions and measures facilitating the reduction of the impact of transport on the environment carried out by selected European cities are discussed.

Opis:
This paper investigates the current research in the field of the end-of-life vehicles (ELV) recycling network. The optimisation of the location of a network facilities in forward logistics in the automotive industry has received a lot of attention for many years but the reverse logistics for ELVs has been a subject of investigations since the beginning of 21st century. ELV recycling network design gained in popularity after the European Union and other countries like Japan, South Korea and recently China introduced legal obligations to organize a collecting or recycling network for used vehicles. When regulations are introduced, there is a need for a systemic solution to the problem, especially since the obligation to create a collection network is often accompanied by requirements related to its accessibility for vehicle owners or efficiency of operation. With the growing scope of legal regulations, companies or organisations responsible for the network are forced to redesign the existing recycling infrastructure in a given area so that it meets specific requirements. Initially, the most important criterion was network availability. Currently, the same importance is attached to economic, environmental and social aspects in order to meet the sustainability criteria. In this paper, forty one peer-reviewed published studies focused on network design were classified. Its main purpose is to provide an extensive review of state-of-the-art research published in the period 2000-2019. The scope of the review is limited to network design problems including facility location and flow allocation problems. Only papers that present mathematical models are considered. Studies on the ELV network design are classified based on: type of supply chain, type of network, optimisation problem, type of facilities, modelling technique, single/multi objectivity, objective function, period of time, solution approach and scope of implementation. The final part of the paper includes discussion of the methodology of the reviewed studies and some recommendations for future research area.

Opis:
The study presents a set of efficiency indicators for evaluating dental office management. The purpose of the study was to create a method for evaluating the efficiency of dental office management using an analysis of the performance parameters of 65 dental offices based on data collected from owners and managers. Indicators were proposed for five key areas depicting the dental team's ability to work with the patient. Conclusions were made based on signals and information coming from the stages of patient flow in the dental practice. The developed method analyzes the dental office’s time efficiency, the work of receptionists, the dentist's work with first-time patients, the successful treatment of patients included in the comprehensive treatment plan and the acquisition of first-time patients. The analysis showed that the effective management of a dental office is derived from the decisions made with the patient at the center of attention. The author's method was used to evaluate selected dental offices, which made it possible to formulate conclusions and to present the interpretation of indicators. The average levels of these indicators calculated on the basis of actual data are presented. The values were presented in terms of per dental unit, which makes it possible to compare the parameters of dental practices of different sizes with each other. The overriding goal of the dentist's work with the patient was assumed to be the complete healing of the oral cavity, which, from the point of view of the economics of the practice, should bring tangible financial results.

Opis:
The introduction of environmentally friendly technologies is becoming increasingly necessary to combat global warming and air pollution in cities. The concept of ecologistics is seen as an effective approach to the management of materials and related flows in order to reduce environmental and economic damage to the environment. The sustainable development of green supply chains is based on the use of environmentally friendly types of vehicles, reduction of energy and other resources consumption, optimization of transport and technological processes in delivery systems. As part of the development of green supply chain, it is proposed to transport goods by freight trams, which eliminates the need for heavy trucks in the city, improves traffic conditions and reduces the environmental impact of transport. The research was conducted for the city of Poznan. The distribution system of the city of Poznan operates in conditions of stochastic demand for deliveries from clients and the risk of lack of sufficient supplies in distribution centers. To take into account the specificity of the distribution system of cargo delivery in conditions of uncertainty and risk, a simulation model of the organization of the material flows within the transport system of the city of Poznan has been proposed. The result of simulation is the optimal assignment of clients to the distribution centers, as well as the value of total mileage with the load, which is a random variable. It is assumed that the random variable is distributed according to the normal distribution law. The results were calculated and compared for two variants, i.e. for constant demand and sufficient quantity of cargo in distribution centers, and for variable demand and uncertainty conditions, e.g. insufficient cargo quantity in distribution centers. The purpose of the paper is to develop a simulation model for planning supplies of small consignments of goods by trams implementing green logistics concept with variable demand for transportation. After a short introduction of the problem, the literature review related to the concept of green logistics and requirements of transport and distribution system are presented in section 2. In section 3, the research problem and research methodology are described. Section 4 provides the results of assignment of clients to distribution centers. The paper ends with concluding remarks
