- Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is used for systematic and comprehensive identification of potential errors that may occur in the production process. The FMEA analysis of the process of bottling and confectioning honey in a medium-sized enterprise was carried out. For this purpose, a process diagram was drawn up, on the basis of the interview with employees and the analysis of the defect registry. The defects and their consequences were identified, the reasons for their occurrence were analyzed, the frequency of their appearance was estimated and their significance as well as the possibility of detection were assessed. FMEA has allowed for the disclosure of non-conformities, including critical defects, which significantly jeopardize the correct course of the honey filling and confectioning process. The dominant cause of errors occurring during the analyzed process was improper work organization and non-compliance with the applicable standards. As a result of the analysis, a number of preventive and corrective actions were proposed, which, after implementation, will allow for the elimination of the causes of defects and errors in the process of bottling and confectioning of honey.
