Opis:: Let Ep be a Debreu private ownership economy in which every consumption set is contained in the proper subspace V of the commodity – price space . Two kinds of economic mechanisms, in the sense of Hurwicz, are designed. The goals of the design are, either the modified to the subspace V, producers’ and consumers’ optimal plans (plans maximizing appropriately profits or preferences on the budget sets) which form the state of equilibrium, or the modified to the subspace V production sets. In the presented economic mechanisms, the producers’ maximal profits do not decrease, and also the consumers’ preferences and the budget sets remain unchanged.

Opis:: We consider the Debreu private ownership economy in which all consumption plans belong to a proper linear subspace of the commodity-price space R l . This geometric property of consumption sets means that there is a dependency between quantities of some commodities in all consumption plans. Competitive mechanism makes producers adjust their plans of action to the same dependency. It results in the mild evolution of the production sector to offer production plans which are also contained in the given subspace of R l . Modified production system and the initial consumption system can form an economy in equilibrium. The aim of this paper is to model gentle changes of producers’ activity that give equilibrium in the Debreu economy with consumption system reduced to a proper subspace of R l without considering additional costs.

Opis:: The aim of this paper is the analysis of adjustment processes in a Debreu-type economy. The reasons taken into account, e.g. incentives, cooperation of economic agents under full access to information, the way of sending messages described formally, are the basis for defining adjustment trajectories. Some reasons, such as introducing new legal requirements or implementing new profitable technologies formulated in mathematical language, can contribute to the transformation of the production sector and induce an appropriate way of adjusting the producers’ plans of action. This survey relies on an examination of the relationships between quantities of goods and quantities of the productive factors used to produce them. As a result, the optimal producers’ trajectories, due to the criterion of cost minimization, are defined. The paper also contains some remarks on the uniqueness of the trajectories under study.

Opis:: The paper extends the research program of modeling the Schumpeterian vision of innovative development in the framework of the Arrow-Debreu theory of general equilibrium. To study changes in the production sector, as well as in the whole economy, the concept of extension of the systems under study is introduced. It enables us to model the mechanisms of Schumpeterian evolution in the conceptual apparatus of Hurwicz’s theory of economic mechanisms. The paper is aimed at expanding our previous studies into two new directions. First, we establish the conditions sufficient for improving positions of various groups of agents such as producers, innovators, consumers, etc., under the price or qualitative mechanism regime. Second, to compare mechanisms of Schumpeterian evolution, we respect the logic of this process which is determined by innovative, as well as adaptive, equilibrium changes in the evolving economy under consideration. Consequently, we formulate two different criteria in our comparative analysis based, on the one hand, on the index of the distance between two innovative extensions of the given economic system and, on the other hand, on the increase in wealth of the given set of agents. The motivations of innovators, and the reason for which innovations are adopted into the producers’ and consumers’ plans of action, are also precisely explained in the paper. The results of our theoretical research can be useful in economic analyses, among others, in the case of the lack of the sufficient access to statistical data. Due to both the formal conceptual apparatus of the general equilibrium theory and Hurwicz’s approach to the problem of designing economic mechanisms, the paper takes the form of an axiomatic deductive system of mathematical theorems interpreted in the language of economics.

Opis:: In the light of Schumpeter’s pioneering vision of economic evolution the innovations and innovative entrepreneurs play a fundamental role in the economic development. However, imitations and producers-imitators are essential in diffusing and adapting innovations into the economic exchange processes. In this context the aim of the paper is to model and analyse some properties of imitative mechanisms appearing within the economic evolution. Innovative and imitative mechanisms defined in Hurwicz’s conceptual apparatus are analysed in the economy determined by the use of topological tools usually applied in the general equilibrium theory. As a result it is shown that, in the economy under study, imitative mechanisms are the reasons for and the consequences of innovative mechanisms as well as that the innovative and imitative processes can coexist in the framework of the same innovative mechanism. Moreover it is proven that under some assumptions equilibrium in the economic system analysed can be obtained as a consequence of either of an innovative or an imitative mechanism.

Opis:: The paper considers a private ownership economy in which economic agents could realize their aims at given prices, Walras Law is satisfied but agents’ optimal plans of action do not lead to an equilibrium in the economy. It means that the market clearing condition is not satisfied for agents’ optimal plans of action. In this context, the paper puts forward three specific adjustment processes resulting in equilibrium in a transformation of the initial economy. Specifically, it is shown, by the use of strict mathematical reasoning, that if there is no equilibrium in a private ownership economy at given prices, then, under some natural economic assumptions, after a mild evolution of the production sector, equilibrium at unchanged prices can be achieved.

Opis:: We examine new mechanisms that introduce environmentally friendly eco- changes involving the elimination of noxious commodities and take into account the structure of demand without a detrimental effect to agents’ position. In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, these mechanisms allow eliminating unnecessary services or goods that are being replaced by modern technologies. We define optimal mechanisms under the criterion of distance minimization, when a small number of detrimental commodities is excluded from production processes as well as when producers are change-averse. The results have the form of theorems with rigorous proofs.

Opis:: Assume that, in a private ownership Debreu economy Ep, among all the commodities there are at least two whose quantities, employed by consumers in all their plans of action, are proportional. This property leads producers change their production plans to satisfy the consumers’ requirements. The producers’ adjustment process, caused by the special form of consumers’ plans, is modeled. As the result, the economy E_p with dynamical production and consumption systems is defined. The commodity – price space of economy E_p is the space of continuous functions defined on time interval [0,1] with values in the commodity – price space of economy Ep.
Załóżmy, że w ekonomii Ep Debreu z własnością prywatną, istnieją przynajmniej dwa towary, których ilości we wszystkich planach konsumpcji są proporcjonalne. Ta zależność powoduje, że producenci zmieniają swoje plany produkcji, tak aby dopasować je do wymagań konsumentów. W artykule analizowany jest proces dostosowawczy producentów, spowodowany przez wspomnianą własność zbiorów konsumpcji. W rezultacie zdefiniowano ekonomię E_p, ze zmieniającymi się w czasie systemami produkcji i konsumpcji, której przestrzeń towarów i cen jest przestrzenią funkcji ciągłych określonych na przedziale czasu [0,1], o wartościach w przestrzeni towarów i cen początkowej ekonomii Ep.

Opis:: The trajectories illustrating the necessary changes in the production sphere, which are caused by the necessity or the wish of producers, who adjust their activities to the given requirements, are analyzed in the paper. The producers’ activities are modeled in the Debreu economy, while the requirements are given analytically, by using the linear functionals. If the producers change their plans of action due to the considered trajectories, equilibrium in the economy will be kept, although the initial state of equilibrium can be replaced by the other one. In the set of trajectories under study, the preference relation is defined. Under some assumptions, the maximal element of the above relation, so called the best producers’ adjustment trajectory, indicates the best path of changes in producers’ activities, under the criterion of losses minimization.
W artykule została zdefiniowana grupa ścieżek dostosowawczych (trajektorii), które opisują niezbędne zmiany w sferze produkcji, spowodowane koniecznością lub chęcią producentów dostosowania swojej działalności na rynkach do danych wymogów. Działalność producentów jest modelowana w ekonomii Debreu, a wymogi są zadane analitycznie przez funkcjonały liniowe. Rozważane trajektorie ilustrują zmiany w systemie produkcji, które nie zaburzają równowagi w ekonomii w okresie transformacji, chociaż początkowy stan równowagi może ulec zmianie. W zbiorze omawianych trajektorii została zdefiniowana relacja preferencji, której element maksymalny tzw. optymalna trajektoria dostosowawcza producentów, przy pewnych założeniach, wyznacza kierunek najbardziej korzystnych dla producentów zmian, z punktu widzenia minimalizacji strat.
