- In paper the authors compared two modern photogrammetric techniques in terms of their application to office 3D modeling. Comparison performed based on 3d modeling of test interior with used of developed methodology. The method determined the way of acquisition and modeling the date from terrestrial digital images, as well as from terrestrial laser scanning. For both measurement techniques the emphasis on obtaining the data is put on the correct relative orientation of the individual photos, or cloud points measured from different positions. For each technology adopted different basic 3d modeling method. Vector data measured on photos were used to approximate the planes, which reproduce by their combination individual elements of space. The simple shape of object located in office space allowed for use in 3d modeling a horizontal and vertical views of point cloud to reproduction contours of the most elements located in rooms. For both used techniques an average deviation between approximated planes and measured points was 4 mm. The relative accuracy of resulting model reproduced based on data from digital images was 3mm and was two times better that accuracy of model from scanning data. In both models, it was found that the completeness of the office space elements reconstruction was 90%. Fully reconstructed objects like walls and furniture.
