- Monitoring of mineral composition of the water used for fertigation in soil-less cultivation was the aim of the study conducted in the years 2010-2014. The water samples were collected from selected water intakes located in the green-house horticultural farms. The samples were taken bimonthly from each water intake and determined for pH, conductivity (EC), bicarbonates, macro- and microelements. It was found that the pH of the water was slightly alkaline and main-tained at 6.9-7.3 with a clear upward trend over time. Monitoring of minerals in water showed decline trend in total salt content. Concentration of Na and HCO3- in the analysed samples tended to increase over time, while the P, K, Ca, N-NO3- and SO4-2 demonstrated a downward trend in subsequent years of the study. There were no changes in the average content of N-NH4+, Mg, Cl- and microelements.
